Chapter 243: How’s the Atlas in Chapter 244 going?

Su Tang remained silent.

Gaiyin glanced at her and asked, "How’s that Atlas coming along?"

Yan Li was momentarily stunned.

His mind was struggling to catch up.

He didn’t understand why Gaiyin would ask such a question out of the blue. Was he planning to take the Atlas back?

But the Holy Lady herself had clearly said that the Atlas would be given to them...

Seeing that Su Tang had no intention of speaking up for him, Yan Li hung his head in disappointment.

Well, changing one’s mind was common. After all, it was unthinkable that something as precious as the Atlas could be given away so easily.

With a reluctant face, he picked up the Atlas and solemnly handed it back to Gaiyin.

The Stone-Piercing Beastmen standing around them seemed at a loss for words, their faces reflecting immense regret. However, they all restrained themselves and did not snatch or cause a commotion.

Gaiyin furrowed his brows slightly, looking rather annoyed. "What’s this for?"

Stunned once again, Yan Li stuttered, "Tri...tribe leader, aren’t you here to...to take back the Atlas?"

Gaiyin’s frown deepened. "Why would I want the Atlas?"

Huang Yuan was the first to regain his composure. He emerged from the crowd, grinning like a two hundred pound child.

Stealthily, he slipped the Atlas behind his back, then looked at Gaiyin with a cheerful glow in his eyes. "Well, well, Chief, what brings you to us?"

His beaming smile was so bright, anyone could guess what he was thinking.

Gaiyin repeated his question casually, "How’s that Atlas coming along?"

Huang Yuan put on a distressed face. "Well...Chief, there’s only one Atlas, and so many Stone-Piercing Beastmen. We all..."

His original intention was to say: there were too many Stone-Piercing Beastmen and only one Atlas; it wasn’t enough to go around!

However, as it came out of his mouth, the sentence seemed to take on a different meaning - it sounded like none of the many Stone-Piercing Beastmen could comprehend the Atlas.

At this point, not only did Gaiyin, but even Su Tang couldn’t help furrowing her brows.

She interrupted, "Are you saying that out of all these Stone-Piercing Beastmen, aside from Yan Li, there isn’t a single one who can...?"

Huang Yuan paused for a moment, and explained, "That’s not exactly accurate. There are a few other Beastmen whose talents aren’t bad. Although they can’t compare to Yan Li, they’re quite rare!"

Su Tang breathed a sigh of relief. "That’s good. You should get those Beastmen to come to me, I have other tasks for them!"

Huang Yuan’s face was radiant with joy, his mouth nearly reaching his ears. He quickly agreed, "Yes! I will get them right away! Yan Li, Masha, Maigesi..."

Huang Yuan named almost forty Beastmen in one breath. The number was so great that it took Su Tang by pleasant surprise.

After finishing with the names, Huang Yuan came forward with an ingratiating smile on his face. "My talent in this area is also quite decent. I am ready to serve the Holy Lady!"

Though Huang Yuan was still smiling, his eyes didn’t reflect the same mirth. Instead, they faintly hinted at some sort of calculation.

Gaiyin watched this from behind Su Tang, but he didn’t comment.

As for Su Tang, she didn’t mind.

To her, the more people digging the cave, the better!

So she grandly waved her hand and declared, "Let’s go!"

Huang Yuan: ???

Go? 𝓃𝓸𝓿𝓹𝓾𝓫.𝓬ℴ𝓶

To where?

Just before Su Tang moved, he quickly stopped her, "Wait, wait! Holy Lady, where are you planning to go?"

Only then did Su Tang reveal her intentions. "To dig a cave, of course! Where else would I be going? The females back in the tribe are forming the Mud Embryos. We need to dig a cave nearby to store them."

Suddenly, Huang Yuan’s face turned grim.
