Chapter 290: Chapter 291: I Just Want Him to Follow Me

Keli swiftly slapped Yali on the back, angrily saying, "You foolish cub! Apologize to Young Master Bai Zheng now! Such a disgrace!"

Caught off guard by the intense blow, Yali stumbled, nearly falling over, but was grabbed by a Beast Soldier.

Still unable to comprehend the situation, he looked stunned and disbelieving, "How could he be Bai Zheng?! I don’t believe it! He must be an impostor!"

Keli was truly enraged now, and kicked Yali harshly, knocking him to the ground.

"Throw him in the cave! Lock him up for three days, no water or food. Anyone who dares to break this command will serve the Beastmen instead!"

The Beast Soldiers barely dared to breathe, hastily dragging Yali away.

Keli was both furious and anxious, unable to comprehend how such a perfectly decent Beastman could have been corrupted to this extent.

If only... if only that cub were still... Ah well, no point mentioning it now.

Keli hung his head, seeming to have aged many years in an instant.

Bai Zheng stared at Keli with a smirk, "City Lord, don’t fret. Regardless, your cub needs to be disciplined properly. Otherwise, should he ever insult anyone else in the Kingdom, they won’t be as lenient as me..."

Looking up at Bai Zheng, Keli forced a smile, "You’re right, Young Master. I will discipline him properly. Let’s go inside now."

Bai Zheng nodded, preparing to stride into the city.

Keli stopped him once again, "Young Master..."

Glancing sideways at Keli, Bai Zheng snapped, "What now? Need more proof?"

Keli quickly shook his head, "No, no, you misunderstand. I just wanted to mention that the city is getting too crowded to accommodate more Beastmen. Those with you..."

Bai Zheng turned and took a look, besides Fengyin, there were at least thirty other Beastmen. If they were all to come in, it would indeed be a bit too much.

Furrowing his brows slightly, he gestured towards Fengyin, "I don’t know them. Do with them as you please. I only require him to accompany me."

"Very well, Young Master," Keli let out a sigh of relief, then ordered the Beast Soldiers, "Drive them all out of Upper Beast City. The farther they go, the better."

"Yes, sir!"

The Beast Soldiers raised their long spears, the tips shimmering ominously in the sun, as they approach the Weasel Beastmen to drive them out.

Ma Li suddenly felt his legs go weak, he cried out in fear, "Young Master! Save me! I don’t want to serve the Beast God! Please, save me!"

Bai Zheng furrowed his brows slightly, reprimanding him, "Quiet!"

Fengyin swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue.

Keli waved his hand, "Gag him so he doesn’t disturb Young Master Bai Zheng!"

Two more Beastmen stepped forward to carry out the order.

Ma Li’s struggles intensified, "Fengyin! You can’t do this to me! Didn’t you say you were bringing my tribe into the Zhaoying Tribe? You liar! The Beast God will punish you! Liar! I curse you! I curse you!"

Fengyin had been carrying his injured arm and looking after Bai Zheng all the way here, standing up for him—so Bai Zheng considered him one of his own.

Ma Li’s screaming and cursing greatly infuriated Bai Zheng.

He glared at the Beast Soldiers, "What are you dawdling for? Hurry up!"

Fengyin stood behind Bai Zheng, a faint smile playing upon his lips. His eyes, devoid of any emotion, watched Ma Li.
