Chapter 295: Chapter 296: Really Bad Luck Lately!

After three days of recuperation, Bai Zheng finally felt revived!

He was wearing a fresh linen robe, his hair tied up with a string, making him appear both cool and noble.

He leisurely strolled around Upper Beast City, appreciating the sights.

After being locked up in the cave for so long, Yali couldn’t handle Keli’s ear-chewing anymore and was let out. 𝓷ℴ𝓿𝓹𝓾𝓫.𝓬ℴ𝓶

However, before releasing him, Keli gave him a severe warning.

"Cub, in the future, make sure to avoid Young Master Bai Zheng. We can’t afford to offend him again!"

Yali was puzzled and very confused, "Father, aren’t you Bai Zheng’s uncle? Why would you fear him?"

Keli sighed, "How should I explain it to you? Among all the cubs of the King, Bai Zheng is the most cherished one. He is most likely to be the next King, so remember not to offend him anymore. Understood? Otherwise, even your father won’t be able to protect you..."

Yali, a little terrified, nodded. He hadn’t expected Bai Zheng to be such a big shot and decided that he must keep his distance from now on.

But unfortunately, Upper Beast City was neither too big nor too small, and he bumped into Bai Zheng right after stepping out.

Yali turned around and left in fear, as he dared not face Bai Zheng directly again.

To avoid Bai Zheng, Yali decided to take a stroll in the forest outside the city to see if he could hunt something for food.

As Beast Soldiers patrolled the forest every day to prevent any large predator from entering, Yali felt at ease.

Walking on the small paths trampled by the Beast Soldiers over the years, he felt unprecedented relaxation!

"Coo... coo..."

The forest was quiet, only occasionally interrupted by the chirping of the birds. Coupled with the dim light, Yali, who was all alone, felt creeped out.

He shivered, turned around to return, thinking it would be better to call the Beast Soldiers for company. Being alone was too frightening!

Before he could fully turn around, he saw a flash of gold light and then suddenly found himself locked in a large cage?

Yali: ???

Pillars as thick as wrists were closely arranged to encircle him, with a huge round cover on top.

He kicked the bars forcefully and shouted, "Who’s there?! Come out!"

The next second, his vision blurred and two figures suddenly appeared before his eyes as if by magic.

Yali’s legs weakened and he fell, screaming shrilly, "Aaah!"

The flapping birds in the forest were startled into flight.

"So noisy!" A crisp female voice rang out.

Ye Qiao extended her hand, materialized a small golden hammer out of thin air, and smacked it hard onto the back of Yali’s head.

Instantly, the scream halted, and Yali’s eyes rolled back into his head before he slumped onto the ground.

Just before passing out, Yali felt he had been extremely unlucky recently!

Ye Qiao gave Wen Jue a sly grin, "See? That solves it, doesn’t it?"

A chiseled hand gently landed on Ye Qiao’s head, and Wen Jue smiled, "Mhm, Aqiao is really clever!"

Ye Qiao let her smile fade and wore a serious expression, "Alright, let’s quickly go to the Upper Beast City to check for information on the cub. We should take this Beastman with us, look, he’s still wearing linen. He might be quite important!"

"Yes! Good idea!"
