Ye Qiao nodded hurriedly.
She was drooling just from the smell, let alone thinking about anything else.
After sitting, she began to eat heartily. Her eyes were filled with the food spread out on the table. The familiar flavors and textures made her eyes close in happiness.
The other clan members who were attracted by the noise stealthily watched Ye Qiao as they ate.
And they came to a conclusion.
The chieftain’s food smelled delicious!

Under the resentful gazes of Gaiyin and the Duke, the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law hooked arms and strolled outside to walk off their meal.
"There’s nothing better than rice! I haven’t had it for almost forty years, I missed it so much! In Tiger Valley, I was gnawing on corn ears every day, I was almost turning into a squirrel."
Su Tang exclaimed joyfully, "You have corn there? What does it look like? I’ll ask the clan members to look for it nearby."

"You don’t know what corn looks like? You mean corn went extinct in your time? That’s unlikely?"
Su Tang pondered Ye Qiao’s words before speaking uncertainly, "Are you saying, the corn here looks the same as it does in our world?"
"What else could it be?" Ye Qiao spread her hands, then, as if she suddenly grasped something, "Are you saying, this rice doesn’t come from rice plants?"
Su Tang nodded, "Yes, the rice here grows in a plant similar to a bean pod, and the flour comes directly from a soft, black fruit."
Ye Qiao pounded her head in frustration!
"Damn! What’s with my brain! I’ve travelled to a different world and yet still didn’t consider that the plants here would be different from those on Earth."
Su Tang looked at Ye Qiao with gleeful schadenfreude, "So you’ve only been able to eat corn all these years? That’s unfortunate!"
"Not exactly, I also found sugarcane. It’s much larger and juicier than on Earth. I made lots of sugar cubes!"
The mention of sugar made Su Tang drool. She hadn’t had sugar since she came to Beast World, how she craved for it!
Ye Qiao spoke with a smug expression, "Life in the Beast World is pretty good actually. Take the sugarcane for example! I had my husband twist the ends of the canes and the juice would gush out, super practical!"
Su Tang was itching with desire, wishing she could fly to Tiger Valley and package all the sugarcane to bring back!
"Right, do you not have chili peppers here? Or is it that your people don’t like spicy food? I noticed that none of the dishes at lunch had any spice."
Ye Qiao was someone who couldn’t enjoy a meal without spice!
Back in Tiger Valley, she would eat chili with every meal. It’s a good thing she, as an Ability User, had a strong body. Otherwise, with her way of eating, she would have diarrhea every day.

Su Tang was envious. Tiger Valley was a treasure trove of goodies! Not only sweet but also spicy! She was so jealous!
Although she wasn’t the kind of person who could eat spicy food, every now and then she still wanted to satisfy her cravings.
Unfortunately, she only found Sichuan peppers here, no trace of chili peppers.
At first, she was worried that Beast World didn’t have these Plant Species, but since Ye Qiao was able to find them, she certainly could too.
