Chapter 377: Chapter 378 What’s Blurred?
Su Tang knew the difficulties without giving it much thought; therefore, she didn’t say much, only silently nodded.
The two of them stood side by side, the snowflakes slowly falling on their heads, shoulders.
Su Tang abruptly reached out to take Gaiyin’s arm, wanting to rest her head on his shoulder, but due to their height difference, her head could only rest on his upper arm.
This action startled Gaiyin, tensing his body up, afraid that if he moved, she would let go of him.
With a melancholic face, Su Tang gazed off into the distance, "Ayin, I miss Yaya. It feels so quiet without him here, not lively at all, it’s desolate. Plus, there’s no one to play with Beast Skin. You see, Beast Skin is almost depressed, I’m really afraid it’ll wreck the house."
Gaiyin didn’t quite understand why would Beast Skin wreck the house out of the blue?
Moreover, he didn’t miss Yaya at all, nor did he want him to come, of course, he couldn’t let her know these feelings.
So, he reluctantly nodded, "Um, me too."
The snowfall grows denser, covering everything in sight. Not long after, the snow had piled on Su Tang and Gaiyin’s heads, making them look as if they had grown white hair.
"Let’s go, let’s go back!"
"Um!"
The two stood in front of the house, shaking off the snow from their bodies before entering.
The house was warm inside, with a thick beast skin spread on the floor. Hua Sheng was sitting on the ground, playing, with Hua Mo quietly keeping her company.
As for Beast Skin, it was lazily lounging by the fireplace, enjoying the warmth.
As the clan leader, Gaiyin not only was assigned the best house, but besides Hua Mo, Hua Sheng, and Beast Skin, no other clan members lived with them.
Yadang had picked the house to the left, and Su Tang deliberately left the one on the right for Mr. and Mrs. Ye Qiao although few clan members resided there temporarily due to the housing shortage.
Su Tang took off her cloak and hung it on a simple coat rack made from tree branches.
Hua Sheng, who was happily playing on the floor, upon seeing Su Tang, raised her face in a smile and stretched out her arms for a hug.
Su Tang gave a soft smile, stepped forward to pick up Hua Sheng, letting her sit in her lap, and gave her smooth little face a smooch as she did.
"Shengsheng is such a good girl～"
Gaiyin stood beside them, watching enviously.
He too, wanted a kiss from her.
Su Tang wasn’t aware of Gaiyin’s unusual behavior. She playfully mussed up Sheng’s light green hair which had grown to her ears.
It won’t be long. Once the warm season comes, she could tie two cute little braids for Hua Sheng. Maybe, she wouldn’t even have to wait till the warm season, by then, she would be the prettiest cub in the village!
Speaking of which, it was rather strange.
This month, Hua Mo seemed to have grown at an astonishing pace, looking almost as big as Yaya now.
On the other hand, Hua Sheng who had transformed two days later than him, appeared underdeveloped, remaining a baby who drooled all day with two tiny teeth, always smiling when seeing people.
Su Tang was puzzled as she fed them both the same thing. So why was one maturing too fast and the other too slow?
Could it be possible that Hua Mo had been skimming off Hua Sheng’s portion when she wasn’t watching?
It shouldn’t be the case, Hua Mo seemed to really love Hua Sheng and generally fulfilled her every wish.
After playing with Hua Sheng for a while, Su Tang suddenly wrinkled her nose and looked at Gaiyin who was sitting there not knowing what to do.
"Ayin, do you smell that? There’s a strange smell, like something’s burnt?"
