Chapter 402: Chapter 403: Rubbish Teammates

Xi Ye did not leave. He stood there, emanating an aura of isolation from the world, exhibiting an attitude of aloofness.
Gaiyin doesn’t waste words, looking into Xi Ye’s eyes, he commands, "Release her!"
Xi Ye remains silent, waving his hand, the Water Rope wrapped around Su Tang dissipates.
Gaiyin immediately checks Su Tang for any injuries.
Xi Ye calmly observes, once he determines that Gaiyin has completed his inspection, he begins to speak, "Are you from the Ming Deer Tribe?"

However, after seeing the striking resemblance between Xi Ye’s and Qiu Mo’s faces, Su Tang harbored a faint suspicion.
Acting with pretense she asked with an airs of grievance, "Who are you and why have you captured me?"
Xi Ye hesitates for a moment, "I am sorry, and meant no disrespect. I saw that the necklace you were wearing was made by my sister, which is why I detained you. I meant no harm."
Subsequently, Su Tang lowered her gaze, apprehensive of Qiu Mo’s fate upon returning home. She suspected she might be forced into marriage and even possibly endure beatings for rejecting it. Therefore, she decided to unequivocally deny any acquaintance.
"I don’t know who your sister is, I found this necklace lying on the beach!"
Xi Ye’s eyes darkened slightly, but without revealing too much of his emotions, he merely nodded appreciatively, "I understand. I apologize for any misunderstanding and hope you can forgive me!"
A wave of relief washed over Su Tang. She thought to herself, "How easy is it to fool a merman?"
Just as Xi Ye was about to leave the cave, Gaiyin suddenly spoke up.
"Didn’t you pick up a little female named Qiu Mo the other day? Isn’t she your sister?"
Su Tang: "!!!"
She was utterly shocked, and couldn’t comprehend why her once reliable teammate had suddenly turned against her.
Xi Ye, who was on his way out, stopped in his tracks and turned back, his cold gaze accusing Su Tang, "Are you lying to me?"
Su Tang:"..."
Her heart pounded heavily in her chest. Particularly as she met Xi Ye’s penetrating gaze, Su Tang couldn’t keep up her disguise any longer.
Her cheeks visibly reddened, her gaze shifted uncomfortably, and she even awkwardly curled up her toes, wishing to escape from the awkward situation.
Meanwhile, Gaiyin, who had just stirred up trouble, stood behind her nonchalantly. But if one would look closely, a gleam of satisfaction could be spotted in his eyes.
Taking two steps towards her, Xi Ye asked, "Where is my sister? Take me to her!"
Su Tang wanted to struggle further, "I, I don’t understand what you are saying. I don’t know who your sister is. This Beastman is spouting nonsense, don’t listen to him! There is no young female named Qiu Mo in our tribe!"
