Hai Qin didn’t take his words to heart. He shook his head weakly, "It’s all my carelessness. Before we set out, the priest had divined for me that I was going to face a major disaster, and warned me to be cautious. Yet I still fell for that damned fox’s trick!"
Xi Chen furrowed his eyebrows, "Father..."
Hai Qin held up his hand to stop Xi Chen’s words and continued, "You are the next leader of our Mermaid Clan. Don’t be swayed by other’s rumors. The priest has said that unless the Beast God descends, the poison in my body cannot be removed. If it wasn’t for my high Superpower Level that constantly suppresses the toxin in me, I’m afraid I would have been unable to hold on long ago."
Xi Chen opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by Hai Qin again.
Xi Chen: "..."

Xi Chen could tell that his father didn’t believe his words.
Actually, he understood. If he hadn’t visited the Peach Blossom Land, if someone were to tell him that there was a divine messenger from the Beast God on earth, he definitely wouldn’t believe it.

Hai Qin nodded, "Yes, it’s said that the cultivation methods that Beastmen and females practice are different. This was what my father told me, so I’m not sure if it’s true. What does this have to do with the Beast God’s messenger?"

Xi Chen slowly nodded, and then he detailed what happened at Peach Blossom Land.
