Chapter 450: Chapter 451: Stubborn Fish
Hai Qin was woken up by hunger.
Upon opening his eyes, he discovered his partner, cub, and other tribesmen surrounding his bedside, staring intently at him.

Hai Qin sat up, taking deep breaths, and replied with a faint smile, "I feel much better. I can’t feel the poison within me anymore."
Hearing this, everyone could barely contain their cheer. The toxin that had troubled them for nearly a complete season had finally been eliminated!
Even before Hai Qin awoke, Antuowan, the Mermaid Clan’s Priest, had performed a divination. The prophetic signs showed that Hai Qin was no longer in mortal peril.
Despite the reassurances, the clan remained vigilant, staying by Hai Qin’s bedside until they witnessed his awakening and ascertained that he was alright.
Hai Qin smiled and pacified everyone one by one, pausing slightly when his gaze fell on Hanna.

Hai Qin sighed softly, extending his arms to draw Hanna into his embrace, murmuring, "You’ve had it tough..."

All he could do was hold Hanna tightly, careful to avoid her wounded hand, continuously comforting her.
The other Mermaid Clan members, seeing this, tactfully withdrew. Nevertheless, the Mermaid Priest, Antuowan, stood hesitating.
The Mermaid Doctor strode forward to tug at his arm, whispering, "Let’s go. The chieftain just woke up - he’d want to spend time with his partner. Let’s not disturb them."
Antuowan, the Mermaid Priest, withdrew his arm with a displeased look and whispered back, "You go first. I have important matters to discuss with the chieftain."
The Mermaid Doctor was entirely speechless, "What can’t wait till later? The chieftain just survived a major calamity. How can you be so inflexible?!"
