Over the following days, Aqi used the excuse of being in heat to avoid going out with them.
Every day, she stayed in the cave, always seeing the blue vortex and the tantalizing hand.
Oddly enough, the vortex always appeared soon after Hai Qin and the others left. It felt as if someone from the other side of the vortex was always watching them.
One day, after Hai Qin and the others left, Aqi went straight and sat beside the pile of prey, quietly waiting for the vortex to appear.
Sure enough.
Not long after, the vortex appeared.
The hands skillfully reached out from the vortex, groping towards the pile of prey.
Seeing this, Aqi hastily handed over a large chunk of a prey’s hind leg.
She noticed, the person from the other side of the vortex seemed to like eating the meat from the hind legs of the prey.
As she handed over the meat, she said with a grin, "Is this what you were looking for?"
When they heard her voice, the hands suddenly froze. After a two-second silence, they started to retract.
But Aqi was prepared. She grabbed the hands and mumbled discontentedly, "Don’t go. I’ve been watching you for days. You always come to get the prey when they’re out. Can you see us?"
The hands didn’t pull back any further. They just lay there silently, letting her hold them.
"But don’t worry, I haven’t told them about you coming every day to take the prey. You can continue to do so!"

"Your hands are so big, they almost wrap around my two hands. But they’re hard and feel comfortable to touch."

"Why aren’t you responding to me? You can hear me, right? My name is Aqi, I still don’t know your name."

While the person on the other side of the vortex was silent, Aqi didn’t get discouraged. She softly clung onto the hands, chatting incessantly.
The figure didn’t show any signs of annoyance. This was so unlike Hai Qin and it made Aqi quite pleased!
Before she knew it, it was almost noon. After hearing some noise outside the cave, Aqi hurriedly shoved a piece of hind leg meat into the hands.
She said anxiously, "My brothers are back, you’d better take the meat quickly!"
The hands hesitated for a moment, then finally took the meat and retracted.
The very next second after the blue light disappeared, Hai Qin and Ajue stepped into the cave.

Hai Qin looked at Aqi curiously, "Aqi, what were you doing on the ground? Do you want to eat some meat?"
Aqi nodded anxiously, "Uh, yeah, right, I want to eat meat! I want the hind leg meat!"
Hai Qin patted his chest, "No problem, I’ll roast it for you! Ajue and I caught another elk-like creature, I’ll roast it for you!"
Aqi replied absentmindedly, "Um, okay, thank you, Hai Qin."
She ate a casual lunch.
Hai Qin and Ajue leaned against the wall of the cave to rest. Aqi was restless, pacing back and forth in front of them.
"Aqi, you’re making me dizzy with all your pacing. Aren’t you going to sleep?"
Aqi looked at Hai Qin anxiously, "When are you guys going out? Hai Qin, you came out to gain experience, you shouldn’t always stay in the cave. You should go hunting more often to improve yourself and broaden your horizons. Look at you now, sleeping as soon as you’re full. You’re even worse than the large shellfish in the sea! Although they sleep all the time, they don’t eat as much as you do!"
