Chapter 532: Chapter 533: Deeply Grieved

Xiongda glanced at Gaiya nervously.

Before he could say anything, Gaiya was waving at him from below, "Come on down! Come on down!"

Xiongda awkwardly sat on the slide, his large body filling the entire open space around him.

Gaiya’s eyes widened, staring at Xiongda in shock.

Xiongda blushed with embarrassment, coughed a couple of times, and explained weakly, "I’m just... heavier than I look, heavier than I look..."

But before he could finish his sentence, a crack started forming on the side of the slide, running straight down the entire length!

Gaiya felt an excruciating pain, as if he was suffocating!

His hand trembled as he pointed at the slide...

Xiongda didn’t see the crack. He thought Gaiya was just urging him to hurry up and slide down. So, he tried to move his body onto the slope using his legs.

Then—

Xiongda felt a sudden sense of weightlessness, and unlike Gaiya who had slid down sideways, Xiongda felt like he was falling straight down before landing on a pile of broken pieces of the slide.

He scratched his head in confusion, not understanding what had just happened.

"Waaa..."

A heart-wrenching cry reached his ears. Xiongda hurriedly looked towards Gaiya.

He saw the cub’s tear beads trickled down one after another, crying so hard that he was short of breath and looking at Xiongda with grief.

Only then did Xiongda realize that he had completely crushed the once intact slide. Only a short half of the slide was left standing amidst the wreckage.

He clumsily scratched his head, climbed out from the debris, and walked over to Su Tang.

Gaiya was having a breakdown in Su Tang’s arms, crying intensely. It was heartbreaking.

"Well, I, I didn’t know it would happen like this, sorry, don’t cry, I’ll give you another one!"

But Gaiya continued to cry inconsolably.

Xiongda was beside himself with anxiety, his face turning red. He didn’t know what to say.

Gaiya’s crying was so loud that it attracted more and more clansmen, who all asked with concern.

"What’s wrong? Why is he so sad?"

"Xiongda, did you bully them?"

"Xiongda, have you no shame, picking a fight with a cub, I’m going to tell Rini!"

Fearful of being misunderstood by Xiu Die in the crowd, a sweating Xiongda wanted to explain but didn’t know how.

With his head down, and face burning with shame, he nervously dug into the ground with his toes, almost tearing a hole in his shoes.

Meanwhile, Su Tang was too busy trying to comfort Gaiya to notice the gathering crowd. When she finally looked up, she was surprised to see so many people.

Nothing really had happened, so where did all these people come from?

Among the crowd, Su Tang recognized Peach Garden Beastmen, White Tiger Beastmen, Mermaid Beastmen, all of them curious and all eyes on them.

She felt as if she was a monkey in a zoo, being stared at so openly made her quite embarrassed.

Waving her hand soothingly, she said, "It’s nothing, just a misunderstanding, it’s not Xiongda’s fault. Everyone, please quiet down."

Her quiet voice could only be heard by the Beastmen nearby, but it gradually spread through the crowd. The noise died down quickly, like a suddenly quiet classroom, and the argument subsided.
