Chapter 613: Chapter 616: Transaction

After Xi’en returned to his seat.

Saint Ya turned her head with a smile. "Oh, you just mentioned that you were commissioned by Ji Hu to bring us salt? What’s going on?"

Gaiyin briefly explained the situation in a few simple words. It was the excuse Su Tang had come up with on the spur of the moment, and it was quite useful.

After hearing Gaiyin’s words, Saint Ya nodded with a sense of loss.

"Ah... The wilderness was fine, how could a mountain god’s wrath occur? Thanks to the protection of the Beast God, the Antelope Clan found a good refuge. But thank you for making the journey here. It must have been challenging. I will have someone clean up a cave for you to rest in."

Nobody declined the offer, just letting her make the arrangements.

Saint Ya tapped on the shoulder of a fellow tribesman, intending to introduce him to the guests, but Xi’en suddenly got up.

With a faint smile, he said, "Amm, let me take them. After all, they saved me. It’s right for me to show gratitude."

Hiding her smile, Saint Ya stared at Xi’en for a while before saying, "Xi’en has spoken well, it was my oversight. In that case, I’ll let you cater to them."

Xi’en seemed to have let out a sigh of relief. He bowed slightly and said, "Thank you, Amm!"

Saint Ya then stood up. In front of so many tribe members and foreigners, Xi’en had repeatedly defied her today, which upset her!

Moreover, in her eyes, Gaiyin and others were just beastmen sent by Ji Hu in an attempt to please her via salt delivery; it wasn’t a crucial matter, so she didn’t take it seriously. When she left, she didn’t even bid them goodbye.

As soon as Saint Ya left, the females who had been standing around followed suit, dispersing like a tide.

A spacious grassland was left with only Gaiyin’s group of five and Xi’en.

The sunshine was beautiful, warm on their bodies. The grass under their feet was soft, like stepping on a cotton blanket. Birds chirped in their ears from time to time, accompanied by the pleasant fragrance of plants filling their nostrils.

Even though it was a scene of paradise, a helpless bitter smile hung on Xi’en’s face.

Everyone had seen what had just happened, but no one spoke, merely watching Xi’en quietly.

A breeze blew, ruffling Xi’en’s ear-length hair. In contrast with his fair complexion, he looked particularly attractive and obedient.

"Let’s... make a deal."

Xi’en broke the silence, his voice as soothing and clear as a spring in the mountains.

Gaiyin slightly curved his lips, his pair of deep dark eyes seeming to read people’s minds. "Trade? Let’s hear it."

Standing on the grass, Xi’en calmly asked Gaiyin, "You are not here to bring salt. What are you here for?"

Gaiyin raised an eyebrow slightly.

Without answering Xi’en’s question, he calmly replied, "And you? You want to trade with us in order to leave the Xixili Flatland, right?"

Although it was a question, Gaiyin’s tone was certain.

Xi’en did not deny it but nodded in agreement. "Yes, I want you to help me leave Xixili Flatland. You found a way in, so you must know a way out."

Adam looked at Xi’en a little strangely. "Doesn’t your tribe go to the Antelope Clan to exchange salt every year? How do they leave here?"

Xi’en slightly closed his eyes and paused for two seconds before he replied, "With the restraint of the fog..."
