Chapter 618: Chapter 621: The Missed Opportunity is Called Regret

"But what if they didn’t abandon you?" Su Tang paused before continueing, "What if something unexpected happened to them, just like what happened to Ayin? Wouldn’t you regret missing out? Maybe they’re still living with guilt and regret for losing you, their days filled with tears. Isn’t it? Are you willing to let the people who love you continue to live like this?"

What Su Tang said touched Yadang’s heart, but he quickly sneered.

"The Sky Fox Clan is just Keli’s guess, not a certainty. Moreover, to get to the Upper Beast City from here, one has to pass through the great canyon and the Poisonous Fog Forest. It’s needless to say how difficult a trip out there would be. How could I possibly be a Beastman of the Sky Fox Clan? I just don’t want you to waste your efforts in vain."

Stubbornly, Su Tang looked at Yadang, "I don’t care, I want to try. Even a slight chance is still a chance. Only by seizing it can it become a real opportunity. If you don’t, it will eventually become a regret. I don’t want you to have regrets."

There was a faint trace of cracking in Yadang’s expression. He remained silent for a while before coldly replying, "Do as you wish."

Then, he lowered his head, silent, and walked forward alone.

Watching his retreating figure, Su Tang smiled and said to Qiu Mo beside her, "Some people, they mean one thing but say another. They might want something deep down, but they just won’t admit it, isn’t that the case, Momo?"

As expected, after Su Tang finished speaking, Yadang’s figure noticeably stiffened for a moment. But soon, he quickened his pace, as if he were angrily embarrassed by someone poking into his affairs.

Seeing this, Su Tang grew more confident of her suspicion, a deeper smile gracing her lips.

Young Master Xi’en watched Su Tang with a complicated expression.

After listening to all of this, he understood that although their little woman here called Yadang "brother", they actually had no blood relation whatsoever.

They are supposedly two unrelated individuals but their bond makes him deeply jealous. This kind of selfless concern, he also yearned deeply for.

As he was lost in thought, a figure blocked his sight.

Xi’en looked up and met Gaiyin’s face, full of worry lines.

"You promised to stay away from her."

Xi’en glanced at Su Tang, the distance between him and her wasn’t too close. Confused, he looked at Gaiyin. 𝓷ℴ𝓋𝓅𝓊𝒷.𝒸𝓸𝓶

Gaiyin’s face darkened even more, "Even watching her is not okay!"

Xi’en good-naturedly agreed, he chuckled and nodded, "Alright, I won’t watch sneakily."

So, it’s alright if he watches her openly?

Su Tang looked at Gaiyin curiously, "What’s wrong? What did you just say?"

Gaiyin’s face became serious, "Nothing."

After watching Gaiyin for a while, Su Tang looked away, preparing to bypass him and head towards Xi’en.

With an anxious look on his face, Gaiyin grabbed Su Tang’s arm, "What are you doing?"

Su Tang pointed at Xi’en, "I’m going to talk to Young Master Xi’en about something, what’s the matter?"

Perhaps it was Su Tang’s all too innocent gaze, but Gaiyin was somewhat embarrassed to meet her eyes.

He let go of Su Tang’s arm awkwardly and said, "It’s nothing... carry on."

When Su Tang turned her back to him, his face instantly changed. He stared warily at Xi’en, a warning look in his eyes.

Xi’en blinked his eyes innocently at Gaiyin, indicating it had nothing to do with him.

Su Tang couldn’t see Gaiyin’s eyes. She was next to Xi’en whispering about how to meet the Sky Fox Beastmen.

Jealousy filled Gaiyin’s heart as he glared at Xi’en, wishing he could disappear on the spot.
