Chapter 734: Chapter 738: The First Round of Tests 2
The thick fog completely dissipated, revealing the creature in its entirety before Su Tang.
Su Tang was stunned.
She looked up to the sky, Who was she underestimating?
Originally she thought that some sort of frightening creature was hiding beneath that thick, white fog, but all it turned out to be was a rabbit the size of a husky...a rabbit?
Rabbits here were referred to as Long-eared Beasts.
Looking back, the two thin and sharp black shadows she had seen earlier must have been the rabbit’s ears.
After spending so much time in this Beast World, and having encountered exceptionally fierce beasts, Su Tang felt completely indifferent toward this oversized rabbit.
In fact, looking at its tightly bound muscular hind legs, she couldn’t help but swallow.
Mmm, she wanted to eat it.
Such sturdy hind legs, it would be a shame not to cook them in a spicy marinade.
Su Tang swallowed her saliva, deciding she won’t make a move just yet.
This was the first test of the Wood Immortal Mansion after all. Perhaps this rabbit was just a decoy, designed to distract her and wait for her to let her guard down so that it can launch a deadly attack. She couldn’t be fooled.
So, Su Tang was even more alert. She stared at the rabbit seriously, wanting to see what tricks it would pull.
The rabbit crept on the grass motionless, its slender tall ears twitching uneasily. Its red eyes were full of panic. It observed its surroundings, its pink nose constantly moving.
Su Tang stared at the rabbit unswervingly.
She firmly believed that this rabbit was a decoy!
If her opponent doesn’t move, then she doesn’t move.
If the rabbit doesn’t move, then she definitely won’t move either!
And so...
A lone girl sat cross-legged on the grassy plain, her face serious as she stared at a rabbit that was frozen with fear.
Both girl and rabbit seemed frozen in place, forming a still image.
...
At the same time.
In another illusory space, in complete contrast to the tranquility and harmony of Su Tang’s situation.
Gaiyin coldly maneuvered between the immense rocks.
There were three noticeable blood marks on his face. His beast skin clothes had long since become tattered and a wound on his upper arm was especially noticeable, the flesh peeled back slightly, faintly revealing the bone beneath.
Following him was a strange-looking wild beast.
It wasn’t large, with a coat of black fur speckled with yellow spots; it had a horn similar to that of a Sheep Horned Beast on its head. The tip of the horn was extremely sharp and it’s the one that had scarred Gaiyin’s arm.
Its amber eyes were steadily fixed on Gaiyin, growling menacingly, and it moved as quick as lighting, pouncing towards him in an attempt to claw at him.
Gaiyin rolled and jumped to dodge its attack, then without lingering, continued to run ahead.
When the beast first emerged from the fog, Gaiyin had tried to fight it. However, it was unknown what type of beast it was, as the blade that his superpower manifested was unable to harm it. 𝓃𝓸𝓿𝓹𝓾𝓫.𝓬ℴ𝓶
Instead, Gaiyin himself got severely wounded in the struggle.
Consequently, Gaiyin quickly adjusted his status to avoid further entanglement with the beast.
The objective of the first round of the test was very clear: to kill the wild beast. Yet the beast’s fur was incredibly resilient, immune to his claws, and his superpowers couldn’t harm it at all.
If this was a test, there must be a way to pass. Thus, there must be something here that the beast was afraid of.
Gaiyin’s eyes contained a hint of cold determination. He had to find that thing as quickly as possible, and then kill the beast!
