Chapter 736: Chapter 740: The First Round of Tests 4
Considering how fragile it was, it would probably turn into a pile of dust if I threw it at the creature.
Gaiyin sighed and prepared to throw the stone away.
But a moment before he did, he hesitated.
Testing it wouldn’t cost anything. The beast seemed so wary of the margin that it probably wouldn’t dare to approach, so he’d only waste a few minutes at most.
With this thought, Gaiyin stepped out of the cave, holding the large rock.
The wild beast was still lingering nearby, not advancing.
It let out a loud roar when it saw Gaiyin coming out, but when it noticed the stone in his hand, it couldn’t help but retreat a couple of steps.
Gaiyin noticed this small movement and raised an eyebrow, a faint smile playing on his lips.
Well, who would’ve thought, this thing really was the beast’s nemesis.
Gaiyin broke off a small piece of the stone and threw it at the beast.
The beast dodged in horror as the stone hit a boulder behind it, turning into a puff of stone dust on the ground.
Gaiyin: "····"
After dodging aside, the beast was agitated like a cat with its tail stepped on. It roared irritably, its eyes filled with evident dread when gazing upon Gaiyin.
Its fur bristled, and it paced in a bow around ten feet away from the cave entrance, its yellow-brown eyes fixed on Gaiyin.
Gaiyin chuckled, quickly breaking the rock in his hand into several small pieces.
Wrapping these stones with his superpower, he fiercely threw them at the beast.
Under the superpower, Gaiyin directed the stones to scatter, blocking all the beast’s retreat routes. Even if it dodged a couple of stones, several dozen more hit it.
"Bang! Crack——"
The contact of the stone with the beast’s fur triggered a small explosion. Within a blink of an eye, the beast’s fur was blown inside out, and its entire body was injured.
It cried pitifully and gave Gaiyin a resentful look before it hobbled away.
The wild beast was seriously injured.
This was a great opportunity, and of course, Gaiyin would not let it pass!
He broke the remaining half piece of stone in his hand into many small pieces and chased after the beast, relentlessly pursuing and attacking.
Oddly enough, some of the stones had clearly hit the beast’s body but didn’t explode.
After wasting several more stones, Gaiyin finally found out why.
It turned out that the stone would only explode upon contact with the beast’s fur. 𝖓𝔬𝔳𝔭𝖚𝖇.𝔠𝔬𝖒
He had already blown off a lot of the beast’s fur earlier, revealing patches of raw, red flesh where the fur no longer protected it, which was especially eye-catching.
Gaiyin narrowed his eyes.
He didn’t believe that the beast’s flesh and blood could still be invincible without the protection of fur.
Gaiyin threw all the remaining stones, almost destroying all of the beast’s fur.
The beast howled in despair due to the pain, its originally yellow-brown eyes gradually turning blood red.
Gaiyin tightened his lips, pulled out his blade without hesitation, and charged forward to fight the beast.
The beast was obviously at the end of its tether, but its sharp fangs and claws were still formidable, managing to bite Gaiyin fiercely before he killed it.
It was ultimately killed by a cut across its throat, closing its eyes in unwillingness.
Gaiyin finally breathed a sigh of relief as he sat on the ground and closed his eyes to recover.
What he didn’t see was that the Muxian Order that had been tied around his waist touched the beast’s corpse. The beast then turned into a light point and vanished, while the Muxian Order gained an additional 100 points.
Gaiyin suddenly heard the voice of Sang Duo, the housekeeper of the Wood Immortal Mansion.
"Congratulations on becoming the first person to pass the first round of the test···"
