Chapter 745: Chapter 749: The First Test 13

"I was in a forest when I came across some kind of beast. Based on the housekeeper’s hint, I thought if I could kill it, I’d pass the first round of the test, but it ran too fast for me to catch up.

Later, when it was resting, I gathered a lot of firewood and surrounded it, planning to burn it to death. The plan was not wrong and I did manage to kill it. However, I forgot one thing - I was in a forest.

The fire got bigger and bigger, it hurt so much, I thought I was going to die there, but unexpected I made it out, haha!

The housekeeper of the Wood Immortal Mansion must have saved me. He must think I am the rightful heir to the Mansion, hahaha!"

Qiu Mo: ...

Everyone: ...

Gaiyin took a deep breath and rubbed his somewhat tired eyebrows.

He had thought there was something wrong with his hypothesis, but it turned out that Bai Ling had been both stupid and reckless, bringing this disaster upon herself.

After hearing Bai Ling’s story, Qiu Mo stayed far away from her.

Tangtang said stupidity was contagious, so she needed to keep a safe distance from Bai Ling.

...

Su Tang opened her eyes groggily.

The first thing she saw was a constantly twitching pink nose. Following the nose upwards, she found a pair of bright red eyes looking at her.

Su Tang was startled, and suddenly sat upright.

The rabbit, frightened by Su Tang’s sudden movement, jumped back a few steps and trembled.

Su Tang: ...

She patted her chest to calm her racing heart, and felt immediately refreshed.

She had planned to monitor the rabbit’s behaviour, but had accidentally fallen asleep.

She smacked her forehead in annoyance.

Perhaps hungry after running off, the rabbit was quietly grazing on the grassland.

Su Tang stroked her chin. 𝓷ℴ𝓿𝓅𝓊𝒷.𝓬𝓸𝓂

She exchanged a carrot from the system’s store, retracted the protective shield, and then threw the carrot in front of the rabbit from a distance.

The rabbit seemed scared and twitched a little, but eventually the lure of good food was too strong. It took two tentative steps forward, tasted the sweetness of the carrot, and began nibbling.

The rabbit was as big as a husky, a single small carrot wasn’t enough to satisfy it.

It seemed to know that Su Tang was the one who threw the carrot. Its pair of shiny red eyes stared pitifully at Su Tang.

Su Tang found it amusing, "Can rabbits charm people?"

So she tried tossing another carrot in the direction of the rabbit and it immediately hopped over happily, gulping down the carrot in a few bites.

It then straightened its ears and stared intently at Su Tang.

Su Tang threw a few more carrots, and each time the rabbit ate them cheerfully.

Su Tang confirmed that this was an ordinary Long-eared Beast.

Su Tang boldly approached it. Because she had a carrot as bait, the rabbit was somewhat scared but did not run away.

First, she stroked the rabbit’s soft and glossy fur twice, enjoying the pleasing sensation.

She recalled how the Tribe people killed the Long-eared Beast by lifting its ears and quickly slitting its throat from behind.

Su Tang took out a small dagger Gaiyin had specially forged for her from her space, stood behind the rabbit, and was about to grab its ears.

Just then she heard two ’plops’.

Su Tang had a bad feeling and immediately looked down.

Clear as day, fresh and warm rabbit droppings were pressed against her shoes.

Su Tang’s face immediately turned green!

She growled fiercely, "Since you are merciless, don’t blame me for being ruthless!"
