Chapter 771: Chapter 775: The Third Test 8

He scoffed coldly, "I obviously know more than this, I’m here to exchange information with you, not to share it.

I’ve just revealed some of the information I hold; it’s now your turn. If the information you have is valuable, I will consider continuing the exchange."

Su Tang looked at Bai Que for a while.

Then she leaned close to Gaiyin’s ear and whispered softly, "He must have seen something. Shall we try to bluff him?"

Gaiyin responded with a light hum.

Su Tang then asked excitedly, "Who should do it, you or me?"

Gaiyin patted her on the head twice, and smiled lightly, "You go ahead."

Su Tang quickly composed herself, coughed twice to accentuate her presence, and made herself appear more serious.

When all eyes were drawn to her.

Su Tang feigned deep thought for a few seconds, then spoke.

"We have been here for quite a while now, and yet nothing has happened. So we suspect that this round of tests may only start when a certain condition is met.

Just like the last round, the test was triggered when two people stood in the light circle at the same time. Could this round be similar?"

Digesting Su Tang’s words, Bai Que found them to be quite logical.

However, the conditions for the second round of tests were at least laid out clearly. There are no hints whatsoever for this round.

The only peculiar things here are these white beads.

Bai Que stroked his chin thoughtfully, "Your words do have some merit. What else do you know?"

Yadang looked at Bai Que with a smirk, "Like you said, this is an information exchange, it’s your turn."

Bai Que was taken aback.

He quietly observed the expressions of Su Tang and her companions.

He couldn’t discern anything.

Yet, he had an inexplicable feeling that they knew something more.

Bai Que pondered for a few seconds before speaking again.

"When I flew to the edge, I was blocked by a Transparent Barrier. Just as I was about to fly back, I suddenly noticed something moving in the sand, far beyond the Barrier.

I couldn’t get a clear look at those things. They seemed to be completely buried in the sand. I could only see weird shapes appearing on the sand from time to time. Because they were so far away, I can’t be sure if I saw them correctly."

As Bai Que spoke, he traced a large "S" shape in the air.

From his description, Su Tang immediately thought of snakes, which sent a chill down her spine.

Su Tang was a scaredy-cat.

She feared insects, all kinds of insects.

Insects with many legs, insects that can fly, insects with many legs that can fly.

Insects with no legs, speedy insects, legless insects that are fast.

Her face stiffened, "The things you mentioned, are there a lot of them?"

Bai Que thought for a moment, "If I wasn’t seeing things, then yes, a lot."

Su Tang almost choked on her breath.

The thought of countless snakes slithering their way towards them sent shivers down her spine.

What are these snakes coming here for?

Could it be because of these white beads?

Then what are these white beads?

They couldn’t possibly be snake eggs, could they?

The mere thought of this possibility made her feel sick, as if she wished she could die right then and there.

"Your turn, what else do you know?"

Lost in her imagination, Su Tang was scaring herself and didn’t hear Bai Que’s question at all.

Bai Que asked again.

But Su Tang was still unresponsive.

In the end, it was Gaiyin who gently nudged her, "Tangtang? What’s wrong?"
