Chapter 838: Chapter 842: The Fourth Trial 15

Looking at the new row of uniform caves in front of them, everyone couldn’t help but cheer in a low voice.

But after the cheering, came the cursing.

"That shameless White Sparrow, the stinking fox, really deceived us. Wait until I catch him; I’ll make sure he regrets it!"

"Huh? There’s no barrier at this cave entrance either. Could it be they’ve found the right one again?"

"Damn, what kind of luck is this? How does someone like him deserve to pick the right cave even once?"

After venting his frustrations, Yadang then remembered what Su Tang had said inside the cave; she had already found a clue.

So, suppressing his anger towards White Sparrow, Yadang shifted his gaze to Su Tang.

"Sugar cub, how should we choose the caves this time? Let’s hurry and catch up to that damned fox, and see how I’ll beat him!"

Su Tang couldn’t help but cover her mouth and laugh, "Big bro, aren’t you forgetting that you’re also a fox?"

Yadang’s face instantly fell, "That stinking fox is worthy of comparing with me?"

Su Tang gently nodded with a kind voice, softly saying, "Yes, yes, he’s not even worthy of carrying your shoes!"

Upon hearing this, Yadang immediately felt much better inside.

Su Tang also turned around and started walking back, "Let’s go back and walk through it again!"

Everyone was noticeably startled, but no one said anything more and quickly followed Su Tang’s steps, heading back.

Yadang, looking utterly baffled, called out from behind, "Sugar cub, are you walking the wrong way?"

Su Tang, with her back to him, raised her hand and waved, "If you’re tired, you can rest here for a bit. We’ll be back soon."

Yadang, looking around at the empty space filled only with caves and rocks, couldn’t help but get a brainwave and started chasing after them.

"No, Sugar cub, didn’t we pick the right one? Why are we turning back?"

Su Tang, a bit annoyed by Yadang’s persistent questioning, then explained.

"Do you still remember what I said before, that the Hourglass represents the notion of time? The third picture depicted an Hourglass, so I guessed that this round’s clue should be time.

From the moment we entered the Cave until we finally left, the time spent could very likely be the entrance to the next correct Cave."

Yadang thoughtfully nodded, "Oh, I see."

Su Tang added, "I’m not entirely sure either. If any of you have other ideas, feel free to speak up; perhaps your ideas are the right ones."

Everyone shook their heads in dismissal.

"No, no, your reasoning makes a lot of sense. We’ll listen to you."

Su Tang smiled lightly and nodded. 𝓃𝓸𝓋𝓹𝓾𝓫.𝒸ℴ𝓶

When they returned to the first Cave Hall, Su Tang looked up at Gaiyin.

And just then, Gaiyin also looked down, and their gazes met as they both said in unison.

"Two minutes."

"Two minutes."

After speaking, they both couldn’t help but laugh.

"Let’s go, test it one more time."

Su Tang took Gaiyin’s hand and was the first to enter the Cave, with the other four following behind them like four bright light bulbs.

As expected, it was still two minutes.

However, to increase accuracy, Su Tang had Xi’en and Yadang test the time for walking slowly and running quickly.

No more, no less, it was all two minutes!

Walking slowly and running quickly are different speeds; logically, for the same distance, the faster the speed, the shorter the time should be.

But oddly enough, the time for Yadang’s sprint there and back and Xi’en’s slow walk there and back were both four minutes.

With a slight sigh, Su Tang said, "If there are no objections, let’s head to Cave number two."
