Gaiyin and the others quickly moved toward the direction of the roaring sound.
Without needing to match Su Tang’s footspeed, the group moved swiftly. Although the winding paths inside the maze caused some delays, they eventually caught up with the so-called maze guardian beast—Godzilla.
At first glance, the creature appeared to be an enlarged version of a Long Tooth Beast.
This massive creature stood over ten meters tall with phosphorescent, shimmering scales covering its body. It didn’t have a head full of eyes like the Long Tooth Beast but instead had two big, round eyes perched on top of its head that gleamed a blood-red color, faintly glowing.
The sharpness of its spider legs seemed to have more than doubled, especially the barbs near its feet. Under the moonlight, the sharp points of the barbs faintly gleamed with a cold light.
Hiding behind a stone wall, Yadang couldn’t help but twitch the corners of his mouth and whispered,
"We had such a hard time dealing with a Long Tooth Beast, can we even defeat this Godzilla?"
Gaiyin didn’t say anything, but silently condensed three sharp broadswords and handed them to Xi and Yadang.
Xi tested the feel of the broadsword before saying to Yadang, "We won’t know if we can beat it until we try, and don’t forget, the way to earn points this round is through damage dealt to Godzilla."
Yadang let out a sigh, "I know... let’s go, and give it a try for a couple of moves."
Gaiyin held his broadsword and lightly tapped the ground with his toe, his body soaring swiftly toward Godzilla and fiercely chopping at the joint of one of the spider legs.
"Clang—"
A sharp and piercing noise erupted as Gaiyin’s attack was completely blocked by the scales on Godzilla’s body.
After his strike missed, Gaiyin quickly retreated, but his action had already attracted Godzilla’s attention.
Godzilla let out a furious roar and crawled toward Gaiyin as several spider spears repeatedly thrust at him.
Gaiyin dodged with ease, but was inwardly shocked.
He had used nearly half his strength in that attack, and apart from causing his own palm to go numb, not even a mark was left on Godzilla.
Compared to the Long Tooth Beast, Godzilla’s defense Level had increased by several degrees.
Yadang and Xi, taking advantage of Godzilla being distracted by Gaiyin, also swung their broadswords, aiming for Godzilla’s spider legs.
"Clang—!"
"Clang!"
Two more sharp noises rang out.
The attacks from Yadang and Xi were still ineffective against Godzilla.
Seeing this, Xi quickly ran in the opposite direction, and when she caught sight of Yadang still standing next to Godzilla, her heart jolted!
"Yadang! What are you spacing out for? Run!"
Having been attacked repeatedly, Godzilla, feeling its status as the master of the maze threatened, grew uncontrollably enraged.
Raising its spider legs, it aimed at the little pest closest to itself.

Several more insignificant attacks landed on it, Godzilla roared angrily in the direction of the attacks.
"Damn it!"
Yadang also seized the moment to come to his senses, abandoning the broadsword stuck in Godzilla’s spider leg joint, and fled in panic.
The golden spikes launched by Gaiyin, although hitting Godzilla, mostly bounced off its tough outer armor.
Only one golden spike, blocked by Godzilla’s spider leg during its flight, was subsequently deflected off the nearby stone wall and rebounded straight into its eye.
