Su Tang slightly adjusted her position, making a very faint noise.

Suddenly—

A seemingly sharp spider leg with sharp barbs on it, cut through several vines that were in front of the protective barrier and stood erect right in front of Su Tang.

"Roar!!"

Su Tang’s eyes widened as she quietly reached up to cover her mouth and nose, not daring to move an inch.

The Godzilla-like creature outside had clearly sensed the presence of prey here before, but when it arrived, it found nothing, and the scent of the prey was slowly fading.

Godzilla was furious, as it roared loudly, destroying several stone walls around it, yet still no prey appeared.

Reluctantly, it continued its pursuit of other prey in the distance.

After it left.

It was only then that Su Tang realized a layer of fine sweat had formed on her forehead; the stone wall to her right had been destroyed, now lying in large and small chunks piled up behind her.

After experiencing Godzilla’s astonishing destructive power, Su Tang was even more reluctant to make any rash moves.

Previously in the safety hut, because she had not experienced anything and Gaiyin and the others had returned each time without injury, Su Tang had been quite at ease and even managed to get a good night’s sleep.

But after the recent encounter, the calmness she had felt was gone, her heart raised high with nervousness.

She didn’t close her eyes all night.

As dawn was about to break, Su Tang finally heard Gaiyin’s call.

She sprang to life, quickly withdrew the protective barrier, "Ayin, I’m here!"

The next second, she found herself in a cool embrace.

Su Tang also held Gaiyin tightly. The absence of the smell of blood meant he was not injured, "I’m glad you’re okay."

With the faint light rising on the horizon, Su Tang saw the obvious dark circles under Gaiyin’s eyes, and her heart ached again.

"Tired?"

Having been on the move for a whole day and two nights without a chance to rest, it was clear to her how exhausted he must be.

Gaiyin’s large hand covered Su Tang’s smaller one, smiling faintly, "Not tired."

Su Tang’s heart softened, and she took a deep breath, stepping back from Gaiyin’s embrace.

"Okay, take a Satiety Pill and recuperate now. Wait for Xi Ye in the meantime."

Gaiyin didn’t object. He nodded, took a Satiety Pill, then sat down cross-legged for a short rest.

It wasn’t long before Xi Ye arrived.

Without a word, he sat down on the ground to recuperate, with similarly dark circles under his eyes.

By the time it was completely light.

Both men opened their eyes one after the other.

"Let’s go, we need to keep moving."

Perched on Gaiyin’s back, Su Tang could clearly feel that their pace had slowed.

But she didn’t want to say much; time and danger were pressing closely behind them, not allowing for any stops.

Walking until around ten in the morning, a safety hut suddenly appeared in front of them.

Su Tang’s eyes lit up!

"Ayin, shall we rest here? We can continue tomorrow."

This safety hut would probably only allow one person to enter.

However, Su Tang thought that if Gaiyin could be without worries, and if she gave him the protective barrier, they could significantly reduce their physical exertion.

Having stayed outside last night under the protection of the protective barrier, Ayin must have led Godzilla far away to prevent it from harming her, which also consumed a great deal of his energy.

Gaiyin came to a stop, but he did not put down Su Tang; instead, he turned his gaze toward Xi Ye.

"Can you hold on? If we rest here, we might be a day late leaving the Maze."
