Chapter 81 - Ning Yuan

“When I’m not around, you’re not allowed to talk to any other women!”

“If any bad women try to flirt with you... just refuse them outright! And if they won’t stop, tell them off!”

Even if it meant getting punished, it would be better than coming back in two days to find several women hanging around Wen Yang.

Although that possibility was quite low.

Ning Chu suddenly remembered the vampire Nana and pursed her lips. “Even if you see a girl fainting, make sure to call someone else to help. Avoid any misunderstandings.”

She regretted not letting off some steam earlier, and now those lewd thoughts had only built up more.

She wasn’t thick-skinned enough to relieve herself in front of Wen Yang, and there was no way she could ask him for help...

“Make sure to eat well while I’m gone. If you need to, you can mooch off Shaoqing. You’re way too big to be eating just vegetables every day.”

Wen Yang stood at the entrance of the waiting area, arms crossed, nodding helplessly. “I got it, I got it. It’s only two days. Do you really need to worry about me that much?”

“Besides, I’m someone’s boyfriend now.”

His gentle gaze fell on Ning Chu’s face, making her slightly embarrassed as she turned her head away.

“Well... just be careful, okay? Don’t let any sly foxes take advantage of you.”

“Got it. I’ll stay far away from any women I see.”

“There are still twenty minutes until your train arrives...” Ning Chu glanced at the time. “Should I go inside now?”

“Are you going to leave something behind before you go?”

“...”

They were surrounded by people everywhere.

She wasn’t bold enough to show off her affection in front of a crowd.

“I'm leaving.”

With her head lowered, she hurried into the waiting area.

She was going home...

She had no idea what she was about to face.

This was a world within a small emperor's script, but it was also a parallel world. Ning Chu’s home hadn’t changed location—it was still an old, rundown apartment in the provincial capital.

Apart from the fact that people on the street seemed to have higher average attractiveness, occasionally including anthropomorphic individuals, the train station in the provincial capital was almost identical to the one in her previous life.

Two hours later, she walked out of the south exit and scanned the crowd outside. From a distance, she spotted a young man standing on the stairs.

He stood nearly 1.8 meters tall, with a slender and refined appearance. His delicate features were framed by thick glasses, and he had an air of scholarly grace, like a young academic.

He was very different from the brother she remembered, the one who had dropped out of high school.

But thankfully, Ning Yuan’s face hadn’t changed. He hadn’t turned into some kind of succubus sister either.

Ning Chu genuinely felt happy for him, but she couldn’t help feeling a bit uneasy and awkward.

Clutching her small bag of luggage, she nervously clenched her fists and took small, hesitant steps towards him. When she reached him, she looked up, gazing at his face up close.

“...”

Ning Yuan looked down at the petite girl in front of him, remaining silent, though his expression was a mix of friendliness and awkwardness.

After a few moments of this uncomfortable eye contact, Ning Chu couldn’t hold it in any longer. In a timid voice, she whispered, “Bro...”

“???”

“It’s... It’s me, Ning Chu.”

“Ning Chu?”

Ning Yuan took a step back, clearly surprised, and examined the girl in front of him carefully.

The face was youthful and cute, small enough to fit in the palm of his hand. Her features were delicate and petite, making her look like a middle school student. But those beautiful, slightly seductive eyes gave her face an alluring charm.

She was about 1.6 meters tall, with a tiny frame. Her coat wrapped around her body so tightly that it was hard to see any curves.

Her bangs were a bit messy, almost covering her eyes, and the hair on both sides fell over her ears, leaving only her pink earlobes exposed.

She looked like a pretty little girl, through and through.

Ning Yuan’s mouth twitched as he glanced back at the exit. “Where’s Ning Chu?”

“It’s me!”

What on earth! Did he not recognize her at all?

Ning Chu felt a chill in her heart. She didn’t think her face had changed that much, had it?

Her face had always been delicate, even in the past, which was why the owner of the coffee shop had taken a liking to her. Now, her current face was probably like a polished, feminized version of her previous one.

Flustered, her cheeks flushed as she quickly pulled out her ID from her pocket and handed it over. “Bro! It’s really me!”

Ning Yuan looked at the ID, then compared it to the girl standing in front of him. After a moment of silence, his mind raced to process this sudden influx of information.

Upon closer inspection, he could see a trace of his brother’s features in the girl’s face.

My brother... has he fallen in love with crossdressing?

But this wasn’t even crossdressing!

“Did you put on makeup?”

“No...”

Ning Yuan looked his brother up and down. “Then... did you get plastic surgery?”

“Also no... It’s just, you know, people change after a few months?”

Ning Chu couldn’t come up with any better explanation.

She wanted to tell her brother directly about her gender change, but the words wouldn’t come out.

It felt even more embarrassing to confess this sort of thing in front of family.

Maybe she should check things out at home first. If her mother turned out to be a succubus, she’d explain the situation to her. If not... she’d just have to bite the bullet and “come out.”

“Alright, I guess I nearly didn’t recognize you after just a few months of college.” Ning Yuan muttered, reaching out to take her luggage and heading out. “We’ll talk more at home.”

“You should probably get a haircut before we get home. Otherwise, Mom’s going to say something.”

“Acting all girly, like you’re a little girl or something. She’s probably expecting you to bring home a girlfriend.”

“Are you getting by okay at school? I heard your monthly allowance is 1,500 to 2,000? Make sure to budget.”

Since their father wasn’t around, Ning Yuan, who was five years older, had taken on the “fatherly” role. He kept on chattering away, but his eyes kept glancing over at Ning Chu.

Ning Chu finally felt a sense of familiarity from him.

That chatty, nagging tone—it was definitely her brother!

Even if this brother was now successful and refined, he was still the same annoying chatterbox.

“Haircut... I’ll do it tomorrow.”

Ning Chu planned to confess everything to her mother tonight and ask her about the silver markings on her body.

There was no way her transformation into a succubus was purely a reward from the heavens for disrupting the storyline. There had to be some genetic reason behind it.

“Just don’t blame me if you get scolded.”

As they walked into the underground parking lot, Ning Chu climbed into Ning Yuan’s car.

She clasped her fingers together in her lap, nervously biting her lower lip as she stared out the window.

She was about to see her mother...

Ning Yuan glanced at her. His brother not only looked like a girl, but even his demeanor had changed—he now acted almost exactly like one. It was like he had turned into a completely different person.

“You... you don’t... like men now, do you?”

Ning Chu’s heart skipped a beat, then she quickly shook her head, standing firm. “Of course not!”

She only liked Wen Yang. Any other man who got close to her would raise her suspicions, making her wonder if they were some kind of pervert.

“Is that so...”

Starting the car, Ning Yuan focused on the road ahead, no longer saying anything. His mind, however, was still preoccupied with thoughts of Ning Chu.

It was all too strange...

But Ning Chu couldn’t help but ask, “How’s Mom doing?”

“She’s good, still climbing five flights of stairs without breaking a sweat. Her health’s way better than mine.”

“That’s good.”

“But after seeing you like this... she might not be so well.”

“...”
