The person in the VIP room didn't say anything in response to this.
But that was more than enough to show what he was thinking.
Though the person in the VIP room was angry at the auctioneer for not taking his side, this did tell him that the other person bidding did have some kind of background that the auctioneer wouldn't take sides.
So it meant that he wouldn't be able to use his pressure to force that other person to back down.
"Who is he?" The person in the VIP room muttered to himself.
But in the end, he had no choice but to make another bid.
"Seven thousand and five hundred."
This time, he didn't hesitate to increase the price by one and a half times.
After all, the other side wasn't pressured at all by his influence. So at this point, the only thing that he could do was use money to suppress this person that was pressuring him.
But to his surprise…
"Sold for seven thousand and five hundred!"
The person in the VIP room had a completely confused look on his face when he saw this. After all, he just couldn't figure out what had just happened.
One moment, that person had been bidding against him without a single care.
Then the next, that person didn't seem to care about this item at all with the way that he just suddenly stopped bidding for it.
It was almost as if he was doing this on purpose just to drive up the price.
"Could it be that the auction house is doing it on purpose to drive up the price?"
That thought passed through his mind for a moment, but then he quickly threw that thought out.
He didn't believe that the auction house was actually bold enough to do something like this. After all, they should be more than aware of who was behind him that they wouldn't dare do anything like this.
But there was the fact that they had defended that person earlier…
The more that he thought about this, the more confused this person became.
None of it seemed to make any sense at all. It really seemed like whoever that person was, he was just bidding for the sake of bidding. It didn't even seem like that person even cared about the item that he was bidding for.
"Just who is he?" This person muttered before sending someone out to watch over that VIP room.
At this point, he didn't care.
As long as that person came out, he would follow him and make sure to get some revenge on that person. Since they dared to go against him, the representative of the first prince, then that person would have to pay for this transgression.
But that would come after the auction.
Right now, the most important thing was securing as many of the dragon items as he could for the first prince. After all, that was the main reason that he had been sent here in the first place.
Once the excitement from the bid for this dragon blood died down, everyone seemed to forget about the small incident as they focused on the items that came after this.
It was clear that all of them thought that this would be nothing more than a small interlude.
They thought that this was just a small matter that wouldn't happen again.
But it happened a second time.
This time, it was a different VIP room that made the bid, but it was still someone that represented the leader of one of the three factions that were here.
As soon as this bid was made, the rest of the people in the auction hall stopped bidding.
They knew that they wouldn't be able to go against this person bidding, so they didn't want to start anything.
Only…
"Five thousand."
It was the exact same voice that came from the same room.
The moment that the person in the VIP room heard this, he immediately deeply knitted his brows.
He had also thought that it was a one time thing or it was that person wanted to go against the first prince's faction that he made that bid. But now it seemed like he was going all out against him who represented the second prince.
It seemed like this person really didn't care about who he offended.
It seemed that this was a crazy person who just did whatever he wanted to do.
"Seven thousand and five hundred."
"Ten thousand."
The bid that came didn't even wait until his voice dropped to come out. It seemed that whoever it was that was making this bid, he didn't care at all about what the person in the VIP room thought.
It was completely different from what happened before.
Since he was this determined, there was no other choice…
"Fifteen thousand."
It was only then that this person stopped bidding.
It was no surprise since this was far more than what this dragon eye was worth.
The dragon eye was an item that was only worth around six thousand in the first place. However, because he was determined to take this item back to the second prince, he had made a bid for it that was more than double what it was worth.
At that point, it would seem crazy to keep bidding against him.
But the fact that he had pushed him this far was something that this person wouldn't forget.
"Find out who this person is and follow him. I want to make him pay."
With this, a second person had been angered to the point where he wanted to take revenge.
But Lin Fan didn't care about this.
The reason why he had used two different strategies to raise the price was because he knew the difference between the two people that he was bidding against.
The person that represented the first prince was a marquis with the surname Whisend.
When Lin Fan met him, he saw him as the kind of person that was very stingy and self centered. He was the kind of person that would give up if he was pushed too far and things didn't go his way.
So Lin Fan knew that if he actually made another bid, he would have had to buy the item himself since Marquis Whitsend wouldn't have continued bidding against him.
The person that represented the second prince was someone with a completely different personality.
The person that represented the second prince was a general and a count with the surname Crawger.
Unlike Marquis Whitsend, Count Crawger was someone that was stubborn and charged forward without much thought. He was the kind of person that would continue to bid even if it seemed like he would be losing too much.
After all, he was the kind of person that would often lose his temper and completely lose control of himself.
But Lin Fan knew that there was a limit to how much he could push Count Crawger.
Three times the normal price would just be too much and he wouldn't actually go along with this. As such, he could only make him go this far before conceding.
And of course he would concede.
The main reason that Lin Fan agreed to hold this auction was all because he wanted to sell off the materials that he got from the Lesser Red Dragon.
Holding onto the corpse of the Lesser Red Dragon that had its bloodline drained was nothing more than holding onto a hot potato. If he continued to hold this thing, then there was no doubt that even he would be burned if the dragons came to investigate this matter.
So it was better to scatter the material from the Lesser Red Dragon's corpse into human society.
Let this be a one time thing where a dragon was killed for materials so that no one dived deeper into this matter.
Of course, it wasn't as if he would let himself suffer a loss.
He would get the money that he deserved.
"Ten thousand." Lin Fan suddenly made this bid.
The room had been silent before he spoke, but it was even more silent after he spoke.
This time, there was a very tense mood that was in the air of this auction hall.
This time, Lin Fan had offended his third faction.
The one that Lin Fan was bidding against was a viscount surnamed Balwood.
Viscount Balwood was actually related to the southern duke, which was why he was allowed to represent the southern duke in this auction.
So when he was being challenged like this, his pride appeared.
"Twenty thousand."
Lin Fan stopped once he made this bid since the viscount had actually made the biggest bid out of everyone in this auction.
The item that was the dragon heart and it was an item that was only worth around five thousand gold coins. Yet this Viscount Balwood had gone to four times the amount that the dragon heart was worth just to win it.
All because he had been challenged.
That was because Lin Fan knew that this Viscount Balwood was an inexperienced person unlike Marquis Whitsend and Count Crawger. He knew that he would be able to get more out of this Viscount Balwood if he pushed him.
And he was right as he raised the price by over four times.
Once this bid was made, Lin Fan just allowed Viscount Balwood to win the item.
Just like this, all three of the factions that had come to this auction had been made to bleed in some way.
