Chapter 608: Chapter 598: Daughter-in-law, aren’t you curious about what my mother said?
The first day of the Chinese New Year, the couple hadn’t gotten out of bed yet when Pangpang and Manman came in to cause trouble.
Their purpose was to get red envelopes, and Li Hongjun had no choice but to give each of them a big red envelope, which finally prevented his daughter from flipping off his blanket. He and his wife had fought three hundred rounds last night, and they were still naked now, so if his daughter really did flip his blanket, he would be embarrassed.
Shen Yunfang lay on her pillow, laughing for a long time. She had never seen a dad pushed to this extent by his own daughter.
"Alright, stop laughing, and get up quickly. Upon arrival, they found that Li’s older sister’s family and Dashuan’s family were already up, having finished breakfast. Li Xianglian was sitting in the room waiting for Li Hongjun.
"I’ve gathered the items; they’re all daily necessities. I don’t even know what’s allowed to be sent there. While you visit this time, ask around and see if there’s anything lacking. Next time you go, you can prepare in advance," Shen Yunfang had packed a bag of daily necessities at home, since her siblings were certain to visit Qiu Shuping. It wouldn’t look good if she sulked or anything like that. It was better to be generous and prepare some inexpensive things to earn a good reputation for herself.
Li Hongjun had seen his wife gathering items before leaving, but he hadn’t realized that these were for his own mother. His heart was truly touched.
Li Xianglian was deeply moved by her sister-in-law’s actions.

It wasn’t until after four in the afternoon, when it had already turned dark outside, that Li Hongjun and his sister returned.
Upon seeing their faces, Shen Yunfang knew for sure they had been scolded quite a bit, so she didn’t ask for details and instead started to prepare the meal directly. Everyone had been waiting to eat until they came back, so they could have dinner together.
On the first day of the New Year, the few men at the table were still toasting and drinking merrily.
The women were chatting and speaking amongst themselves, but everyone could tell that Li Xianglian was in a bad mood, so when she remained silent, nobody disturbed her.
After dinner, as Li Hongjun and his family of five strolled back home, he finally opened up and asked, "Wife, aren’t you curious about how it went today when my sister and I visited our mom, and how she reacted?" Li Hongjun saw his two children running ahead with Taxue, so he deliberately slowed his pace and moved closer to his wife to ask.

"What did your mom demand today?" Shen Yunfang was pretty sure that what she had imitated on the way home was close to the truth. Otherwise, Li Hongjun wouldn’t have been so angrily embarrassed. But she was curious since the Li siblings had gone to see Qiu Shuping, and knowing her character, she must have made some unreasonable demands.
