Chapter 757: Chapter 747: The Children’s Underworld

Indeed, bedtime was incredibly lively.

Not a single one of the seven children wanted to sleep with Shen Yunfang and her husband; they all had their eyes on Pangpang and Manman’s bunk beds and insisted on cramming into that room.

"Even if all of you sleep in this room, at most, only four people can fit on the bunk beds; some of you will have to sleep on the floor." Shen Yunfang said helplessly.

"It’s fine, it’s fine, we can take turns," Shuanzi quickly said.

"Fine, I don’t care anymore; just sort it out amongst yourselves. But let me make it clear, no fighting and no bullying," Shen Yunfang really didn’t want to deal with it anymore and decided to let the children figure it out on their own.

"No problem, mission accepted," Shuanzi even bowed to Shen Yunfang in a solemn manner.

Shen Yunfang watched as Shuanzi dashed back into the room, then shook her head and walked toward her own.

Li Hongjun was lying on the bed reading a book, and when he saw her come in, he asked, "Is everything settled?"

"Far from it, I couldn’t sort it out at all. The older and the younger ones were all fixated on the bunk beds; no matter how I arranged it, it wouldn’t be right. Besides, they don’t listen to me anyway, so I might as well not bother and let them sort it out themselves." Shen Yunfang pounded her lower back, wondering why she felt so old even though she was only in her twenties.

Li Hongjun put the book on the bedside table, sat up, and reached over to touch his wife.

"What are you doing?" Shen Yunfang exclaimed, thinking this man had no shame. There was a house full of kids next door, and the door wasn’t even closed; yet he felt free to just reach over, and where was he touching?

"What can I be doing? I’m just feeling sorry for you and wanted to give you a massage," Li Hongjun said. But his big hand lingered on the highest raised part for quite some time before slowly moving downwards to her waist and abdomen.

Shen Yunfang kept a nervous eye on the door, worried that if a child came in and saw what was happening, she wouldn’t be able to show her face.

Fearing his hand would wander somewhere even more inappropriate, she quickly turned over, lying on her stomach, so that his hand could no longer reach any risky areas, "Alright, go ahead and massage."

Li Hongjun laughed at her shameless expression, but his big hand seriously began massaging his wife.

When Li Hongjun actually put effort into doing something, he did it quite well; he pressed down firmly with his hand, making Shen Yunfang moan with pleasure.

"All this meowing, not afraid the kids will hear?" Li Hongjun gave his wife a slap on the butt.

"I can’t help it," Shen Yunfang said, and then buried her head in the pillow, trying her best not to make a sound.

"Hehe!" 𝑛𝘰𝑣𝑝𝑢𝑏.𝘤𝑜𝘮

While the couple enjoyed sweet moments, the room with the children was like a battlefield with swords and shadows.

"No, I want to sleep on this bed today," Erdan insisted stubbornly, gripping the frame of the bunk bed with both hands, ready to resist anyone trying to pull him away.

"Right, I want to sleep on the bed too," Sandan joined in the senseless shouting with his brother.

Seeing his cousin so adamant, the good-natured Shitou thought to yield, but Shuanzi was less accommodating.

"Why should you get to sleep there just because you said so? How entitled can you get?" Shuanzi lashed out at Erdan without holding back, "I’m telling you, if you want to stay in this room, you better behave. We won’t pick on you; let’s draw lots to decide the order for sleeping on the bunk bed..."

"No way, why should I draw lots? I want to sleep on the bed tonight, actually, I want to sleep on it all the time," Erdan declared defiantly.

His mother had told him before that there was nothing to be afraid of at his uncle’s place; just tell the uncle what he wanted, and if he didn’t get it, just cry. He thought the strategy was quite effective; it worked well on his mom back home, so he unconsciously resorted to it here too. Of course, he wouldn’t cry in front of his brothers—that would be too embarrassing.

"Dammit, it seems you can’t understand human language, I’m telling you, you have no place on this bed from now on. Dare to sleep on it and see if I don’t beat you to death," Shuanzi became incensed upon realizing he was being challenged and he wasn’t one to be indulged.

His aunt had said that you should treat different types of people with corresponding methods. When dealing with someone so stubborn, no words are necessary; just settle it with fists.

So the mass brawl led by Shuanzi and Erdan began.

Shitou, seeing his brother fighting, couldn’t just stand by even though he thought it wasn’t right, so he immediately joined in. Sandan looked here and there, wanted to go help his brother, but didn’t dare, and could only shout from the sidelines.

Jiajia was pulling Pangpang and Manman, not letting them go forward, lest they get hurt.

Pangpang didn’t really mind; he looked down on his brother Erdan and was quite pleased to see him getting handled.

Manman, on the other hand, was quite excited, and struggled against Jiajia’s grip, trying to sneak in a few kicks whenever she could reach.

The battle was intense, but everyone still knew to keep their voices down.

"Hey, listen, there seems to be some noise in that room." Shen Yunfang seemed to hear the chaos, "The kids couldn’t be fighting, could they?"

"No way," Li Hongjun’s big hand never stopped, "If they were fighting, your daughter would definitely call us. The kids are just playing. We parents shouldn’t get involved too much."

"That’s true." Shen Yunfang buried her face in the pillow again and continued to moan.

It didn’t take long for the victors to emerge in that room.

How could Erdan, taking on two by himself, have a chance at winning? Moreover, Shitou was older than Erdan, and when they were at home, they even helped their parents farm, so they had quite some strength in them.

"I don’t accept this, you’re just ganging up because you have more people," Erdan, pinned underneath, continued to shout defiantly.

Shuanzi gave his butt a kick with his foot, "Accepting it or not won’t help you, why don’t you ask your mom to give you another brother, and in twenty years come find us for a rematch, and I’ll definitely see it through to the end."

Angry, Erdan turned his head around looking for Sandan—after all, he had a brother, didn’t he?

Since he had such a limited range of motion in his head, he looked and looked and couldn’t find Sandan, so he shouted, "Sandan, Sandan, where the hell did you go?"

"Big brother, I’m here," Sandan, that foolish kid, without any sense of the severity of the situation, hurried over when his brother called.

Seeing his brother’s smiling face certainly infuriated Erdan; he might as well have his mom give birth to another brother.

"You idiot, didn’t you see your brother getting bullied by the two of them? Can’t you lend a hand?" Erdan scolded angrily.

"I, I can’t beat them," Sandan was a little troubled, knowing full well that he couldn’t win, yet still charging forward—wouldn’t that be stupid?

Erdan was at a loss for words. Ah, how did he end up with such a foolish brother?

Shuanzi actually found it amusing, patted Sandan on the head, and complimented him, "Sandan is smart, he knows the wisdom of acting according to circumstances."

Being praised made Sandan’s smile even brighter.

Under the joint suppression of Shitou and Shuanzi, Erdan finally behaved, wasn’t arrogant anymore, and agreed to draw lots to decide where to sleep.

"Wow, I got the bed!" After taking a beating, who knew that a casual draw would let Erdan pick the slip for the bed.

Laughing heartily, it was truly an unexpected turnaround.

The other person who got the bed was Shuanzi, and now Erdan, who had just been laughing, couldn’t laugh anymore.

The two of them faced off, each trying to force the other to concede with piercing stares, hoping the other would give up this opportunity voluntarily. Neither succeeded, or rather, they both persisted; so, in the end, they both squeezed onto the bottom bunk.
