Litty Spends Time Dining the Night before Departure
Litty and her friends decided to enjoy their last meal in the royal capital. The preparations for their departure had been completed, and tomorrow was just around the corner.
The dinner would also serve as a celebration for Roma and Kuufa’s title acquisition. The place was a restaurant for the masses.
Although they could have afforded to choose an upscale restaurant, Litty had no good memories of such places.
“Roast! Halami! It’s so good!”
“Litty always eats meat. You should eat vegetables too.”
“Yes, of course!”
“Myan!”
Myan was so enthusiastic that she gobbled up the fresh meat. Litty smacked her lightly on the head for being so rude.
Myan’s usual reaction was to sulk and put her chin on the table.
“That child is a little messy…”
“Myan is a glutton.”
“Myan.”
“Litty, why don’t you share vegetables with Myan? She’s a carnivore, right…?”
Suddenly, the topic of Myan’s food preferences came up. Litty’s misconception was that Myan preferred meat, but in reality, Myan could eat basically anything.
However, Roma interfered, saying that Myan was different from humans and that they should not just give Myan anything.
“Why don’t you eat vegetables too?” (Aquaria)
“Ah, oh, but meat…” (Kuufa)
“Master, the meat is delicious.” (Mirai)
“I want some too…” (Kuufa)
Aquaria was putting vegetables one after another on Kuufa’s plate. Meanwhile, Mirai was enjoying the freshly grilled meat.
“Roma-san, congratulations on your Dancer title!” (Litty)
“Thanks, but I never thought I would be a Dancer…. The Branch Manager even told me, ‘You’re going to be a star of the royal capital!’ even though that wasn’t really my goal…” (Roma)
“I want to see you dance, Roma-san!” (Litty)
“No, you can’t. I’m too embarrassed to dance in front of people…” (Roma)
Litty remembered Roma’s dance that she had shown against Oswen. Her moves were mesmerizing and unreadable.
Litty later thought that it was as if she could anticipate the movements of both herself and her opponents. Only then did Litty understood what rhythm was all about.
“Roma-san, you were also reading my moves and fighting without getting in the way.” (Litty)
“Not really, but…” (Roma)
“I’m looking forward to our future adventures…” (Litty)
“Litty…”
Putting her hand to her cheek, Roma was struck by an emotion she couldn’t understand. Not caring about her, Litty wiped Roma’s mouth with a table napkin.
Litty’s uncharacteristic behavior almost made Roma fall out of her seat.
“Li, Litty?”
“There was some dirt on your mouth, so I just…. Do you not like it?”
“No, it’s not like that.”
“Myaaaan!”
“Hyah!”
Myan suddenly licked Roma’s mouth, trying to imitate Litty’s good intentions. However, it ended up making Roma scream.
After regaining her composure, Roma looked at Kuufa, who was processing the heap of vegetables, and at Mirai, who continued to eat the meat. Roma, unable to bear the sight, put some meat on Kuufa’s plate.
“Roma-san…” (Kuufa)
“You’re her Master, so pull yourself together.” (Roma)
“But there are people who work hard to grow vegetables too…. I can’t make these vegetables on my plate go to waste.” (Kuufa)
“That’s the thing, Aquaria, you have to respect Kuufa a little bit.” (Roma)
“I was just getting her to nourish herself with vegetables…” (Aquaria)
“You don’t need to mince words…. I’m just saying that you shouldn’t make fun of her so much.” (Roma)
“Yes…” (Aquaria)
“Master, you want some meat, right?” (Mirai)
Mirai started putting meat on Kuufa’s plate, and now it was covered in meat.
‘What a pitiful Master,’ Roma thought to herself. But for now, she felt that it was fine.
