NOVPUBRoma herself was aware that she was not in a position to say anything about other people. She had many things to learn, both in terms of her abilities and as a human being. That was the reason why she was part of X-Piece.
As Roma looked at Kuufa and the others, Litty suddenly commented, “Roma-san is like a big sister. You seem to be able to pull things together where we might fail if we were on our own.”
“Oh, why a big sister?”
“Because after you scolded them, Aquaria-san reflected, and even Mirai-san shared the meat she was enjoying with Kuufa-san.”
“It doesn’t seem like a big deal…but I wouldn’t feel bad if Litty praised me for it.” 𝒏𝙤𝙫𝒑𝙪𝙗.𝙘𝒐𝙢
After saying so, Roma looked away, more embarrassed beyond words.
Just as Roma was starting to get a little carried away in her mind, she saw Kuufa and remembered something. Roma was not the only one who had earned the title.
“Kuufa-chan, congratulations on earning the title of Magician as well.”
“Thank you very much…”
“Master, more meat.”
“We should celebrate. More and more…”
“Ummm, wait…”
“There!”
Kuufa was again bewildered by the plate of meat, but this time she started consuming it.
It didn’t take long for the plate to be cleaned, and even Myan blinked several times.
“It’s delicious. I want to eat more.”
“Kuufa-chan is a surprisingly big eater…”
“I don’t understand… we ran out of meat instantly… You guys, keep grilling meat, will you? Congratulate my Master.” (Aquaria)
“You never really have done anything for her since a while ago…” (Roma)
As a spirit, Aquaria did not need to eat. Litty regretted a little when she realized that she was the only one who couldn’t enjoy the food.
Phantom beasts were mostly the same as spirits when it came to food. However, Aquaria, being a powerful water spirit, simply didn’t partake in the food because she was a being of a higher order compared to normal spirits. Combined with her overpowering presence, it made Litty’s party stand out a lot compared to other parties that were also enjoying a meal in that popular restaurant.
A man with a drink in his hand came to Litty and the others’ table.
“What kind of group is this? You even have creatures I’ve never seen before.”
“We are X-Piece, a party of adventurers. This one is Myan, a phantom beast, and the one stretching up and down is a water spirit.”
“Eh? No way? Wait, why is this creature so long!”
“Myan!”
Myan stood on her hind legs, as if to assert her length. The man was impressed by Myan’s longer torso than he had expected. He patted her belly.
Myan, who was in a good mood, began to wiggle her body and move strangely. This triggered more attention and a crowd.
Questions continued to pour in, and some of the customers started buying drinks etc. The owner groaned at this situation.
“Ummm… Maybe we need a mascot like this after all. It would be a good draw for customers.”
“How about a Water Genie?”
“No, I don’t want one…”
“Myan, Myan, Myan…”
Litty noticed something unusual about Roma as she stood up. Her eyes were fixed, and her entire face was red.
Litty tried to support the unsteady Roma, but she was suddenly embraced.
“Roma-san?”
“Litty~, I’ll show you that I’m more attractive than Myan and Ilysis-san…”
“You smell funny!”
“Oh no, I think I gave her too much to drink…”
One of the customers was holding a bottle of liquor. When he recommended the drink to Roma, it was what he called a “go-getter” drink.
