Litty Riding on a Ghost Ship

“Your room is this way…”

A pale-faced young man escorted X-Piece to their cabin and then walked languidly down the hallway.

Roma didn’t like this attitude, which was the opposite of Baroque’s.

“I don’t want to sound mean, but aren’t they a little too unenthusiastic? This room smells musty too, I wonder if they clean it…” (Roma)

“It’s a clean room. Right, Myan?” (Litty)

“Myan…”

It was not until they were in the boat that Litty noticed Myan’s lethargy.

Her head was turned to the side, and she was not making her usual cries. Worried that Myan might be sick, Litty got up from the bed where she was sitting.

“I would like someone to examine Myan.” (Litty)

Roma replied, “Normally, there should be a ship’s doctor, but this ship doesn’t even have a guide on board. We’ll have to ask someone else.”

“You’re shaking too, Mirai-san…what’s wrong?” (Litty)

“I’m scared, scared, scared…”

Mirai, who could not stop trembling, was closely following Kuufa. Kuufa seemed to be worried as well, asking Mirai what was wrong, but to no avail.

Litty started to feel strange about Mirai’s condition and the ship’s interior.

There was mostly no noise made by those people. This involved Baroque, the young man who guided them to their cabin from earlier, and following that was the reaction of Myan, and Mirai.

Although it was difficult to put into words, something was not right. But at the same time, Litty could not hide her confusion, as she did not understand why she had not noticed it before. 𝔫𝖔𝔳𝖕𝖚𝔟.𝔠𝔬𝖒

“Roma-san, isn’t there something strange about this boat?” (Litty)

“Strange…?” (Roma)

“The person who just came in was also strange. I don’t know what it is, but…” (Litty)

“Yes, he was a gloomy person, but wasn’t it rude to call him a weirdo?” (Roma)

Litty crossed her arms and posed in an un-Litty-like manner as she thought about it. Abruptly, she opened the cabin door and looked down the hallway, left and right.

After a short walk and the sound of the floor creaking, she nodded her head in understanding.

“The person who just walked down the hallway didn’t make this noise, did he?”

“…Speaking of which…”

“Maybe it was some kind of skill? If so, what was it for?”

–Giii, giii…

A creaking sound could be heard in the corridor. Litty, assuming someone was walking, went out of the room again. But there was only an unoccupied corridor.

Litty listened carefully. Not only did she not see any sailors or other guests, but there was no sign of anyone.

“Roma-san, search the ship…”

Litty turned around to face the cabin and found no one there. Only the luggage was there. Litty, couldn’t help but gulp.

“Miss…”

Litty was suddenly called from behind, making her involuntarily move away. There she was, a thin, old woman with a bent back. This time also, Litty didn’t hear any footsteps as she was approached.

“Which way to the infirmary…?” (Old woman)

“I don’t know, I just got on board. When did grandma get on this boat?” (Litty)

“Well…”

Not answering Litty’s question, the old woman staggered around the corner of the hallway. Litty dashed after her, but the old woman was already gone.

The single corridor stretching out ahead of her was dark. The lights of the lamps attached to the walls blinked irregularly.

“What…?”

Darkness loomed at the back of the room. Before she could retreat and escape, Litty was swallowed by darkness.
