Chapter 1104: 349. Re-enter the Empire

“Sir, someone has entered the Pollution Zone again.”

Nolin sent a mind message to Noland Lee:

“I’ve placed over a dozen Mechanos on the fourth layer of the Floating Island for surveillance. About half a minute ago, Wizards appeared in the southeast corner and directly west of the fourth layer of the Floating Island, seemingly teams from the Pure Light Court and Hotams.”

Noland Lee was cracking the Alchemy Gate leading underground.

Nolin shared her Magic Vision with him.

The group of wizards in the southeast were dressed in white robes with gold edging and wore gold-and-white masks.

...

This was a team from the Pure Light Court.

Bella and his uncle Yass, whom Noland Lee had met before, were among them, with Yass still leading the team.

Using Deconstruction, Noland Lee saw that the Pure Light Court’s team had come to the Pollution Zone on Jay Spade’s orders to gather information.

If possible, they would try to build a magic fortress within the Pollution Zone, which would save them from having to negotiate with the Golden Federation for a stationing place within Union City.

The group from the west was from Hotams, with a somewhat more complex composition.

There were Natural Wizards, Shape Wizards, Death Wizards, and Deep-Sea Wizards, each represented by a few individuals.

Just as the Death Herald Guild became excited upon seeing the “Gray Wilderness,” the Death Wizards from Hotams were also shocked by the presence of death energy here.

The energy was so potent that one Death Wizard couldn’t help starting to set up an array to collect death energy on a large scale with a Magic Circle.

By contrast, the wizards from the other factions were much calmer, with some even expressing disgust.

Because of the action of the Death Wizards, voices within the Hotams team were discordant, inevitably plunging into intra-faction conflict.

“Sir, do you need me to stop them?” Nolin asked.

Noland Lee glanced at the immobile Hotams team and then at the Pure Light Court team, which was exploring the Floating Island layer by layer.

Further away, there were more indistinct figures, likely wizards from other forces.

Noland Lee replied:

“No, Nolin. Both teams have the ability to detect the Mechanos’ Illusion Magic disguises, and we can’t possibly stop everyone. Withdraw the Mechanos that are surveilling them and place them all around the Spire.”

“Understood, sir,” Nolin responded.

Noland Lee held the Rune Staff and drew the final stroke on the Alchemy Gate.

A flash of elemental radiance flickered past, and the Sluice Gate that blocked the path disappeared in the flash.

A dimly lit corridor sloping downward appeared before Noland Lee.

Only when the Alchemy Gate vanished did Noland Lee sense the presence of the Blood Sun Seal Descendants.

Blood-red threads wafted up from below, intermingling with the surrounding purple and black fumes, weaving several lines of Characters.

Noland Lee glanced at these characters and waved his hand, dispersing them with a gust of air.

It was nothing more than the Blood Sun Seal Descendants begging for mercy.

This Extraterrestrial Space Pollution Product had sensed the disappearance of the Undead Corpse Essence but didn’t understand how Noland Lee had achieved it.

In its mind, Noland Lee, this mysterious wizard, had surpassed the level of wizards and reached into realms the Blood Sun Seal Descendants couldn’t even fathom.

“Who exactly are you, wizard?”

The Descendant wove characters again, asking.

Noland Lee passed by the characters without breaking stride, heading for the Underground Depths.

“I see fog on you, you are not any human I know of, but you have obliterated the Undead Corpse Essence…”

Another line of characters blocked Noland Lee’s path.

Noland Lee walked through with an indifferent expression.

“Your Excellency, what is the origin of this Blood Sun Seal?” Noland Lee asked inwardly.

The Assassin Angel was silent for a few seconds before saying:

“Oh, just a Lord-level Blood Demon with some achievements.”

“Blood Demon…”

The Assassin Angel continued:

“In a rather ancient Plane Year, the ‘Demon’ Plane Core snatched the Fire of St. Dylan from the ‘Solar Blaze’ Plane Core. The Blood Demon that used blood and slaughter to destroy the Solar Blaze sun back then is now the Blood Sun Seal. After it destroyed the sun, it turned the core of the sun into its own seal to spread the blood disease throughout various spaces in the universe with the help of the stellar radiance.”

“I didn’t expect the Blood Sun Seal to have such a formidable past…”

Noland Lee exclaimed and then asked:

“And how was its Plane Year ended?”

“When the Blood Demon’s power destroyed star after star, the Starry Sky was plunged into dimness, and the power of the ‘Shadow’ would grow rapidly, eventually devouring the culprits that caused the stars to lose their light,” said the Assassin Angel.

Noland Lee nodded, understanding the implications.

It seems ‘Shadow’ Plane Core rose at the end of the ‘Demon’ Plane Year and snatched away the Fire of St. Dylan.

Truly a cycle of one power dying and another rising.

Moving to the end of the corridor, Noland Lee came to a narrow Basement.

The Floor of the basement was littered with Soul Gems that had lost their luster.

The Blood Sun Seal Descendant supported its spherical body with several Tentacles, barely hovering in the air.

It blocked the Domain Ritual Array behind it, laying its tentacles on the Array’s nodes as if it were about to destroy the Array.

But in fact, this was not destroying the Array but rather fully activating the Array’s power, rapidly expanding the Pollution Zone to engulf the urban area above in a short time.

“If you kill me, I guarantee I will make the Undercity of Union City accompany me in death,” the Descendant wove words, threatening Noland Lee, who was close at hand.
