Chapter 979 -982: I Like It, That’s Good (Extra 2)
Aidan Lucas glanced at little Ben Lucas, his tone dismissive as he said, “As long as I like her, that’s all that matters. She’s the woman I like, and I don’t care about anyone else.”
His son’s words nearly made Emily Taylor choke on her fury.
But since she couldn’t do anything about her son, she could only point at Lily and say to Ben, who was standing by.
“Ben, this woman is deliberately imitating your mother; she has ulterior motives in getting close to your father. You can’t be deceived by her like your dad was. Such a woman with insidious intentions, Ben, tell me, shouldn’t we bar her from entering our home?”
Seeing Aidan Lucas’s indifferent but firm attitude, Emily Taylor immediately turned to Jordan Lancaster for help.
However, she was too anxious and completely overlooked the fact that Ben had been holding Lily’s hand all this time.
Little Ben Lucas was even colder than his father.
Such an affectionate gesture towards a stranger had never happened before.
“Shouldn’t,” little Ben finally spoke, his tone as cold as ever.
Emily’s face lit up upon hearing his answer.
But before she could rejoice, she heard Ben’s indifferent voice, “Grandma, I really like Aunt Lily. If dad can’t marry her, when I’m grown up, may I marry her?”
He loves his mother the most and dearly hoped that when he grew up, he could marry a wife who was as soft, as delicate, and as warm as her.
The smile that had yet to leave Emily’s face suddenly froze.
“Ben… what… what nonsense are you spouting?!” 𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒑𝒖𝒃.𝙘𝒐𝒎
“Grandma, I said when I grow up, I want to marry Aunt Lily. If you won’t let dad marry her, can you leave her for me?”
“You—” Emily was rendered speechless by her grandson’s words.
What kind of logic was this? If Aidan Lucas couldn’t marry Lily Gray, her grandson wanted to marry her?!
She could never have dreamed that one day her aloof and indifferent grandson would say such a thing to her.
“Brat, you’re thinking too much. Lily is mine—” The man authoritatively pulled the woman into his embrace, and his large palm also conveniently slapped away the hand that the boy was holding.
Lily was abruptly pulled into Aidan Lucas’s arms, and before she could react, he lifted her chin and kissed her right there in front of all the relatives.
The long and dominating kiss carried an unmistakable message of exclusivity.
Lily couldn’t push him away; her hand resting against the man’s chest was futile, and after making two meaningless ‘hmm’ noises, his kiss devoured all her struggles and resistance.
After a long while, Aidan Lucas finally ended the kiss.
He tidied the woman’s slightly disheveled hair behind her ear, then glancing sideways at Emily Taylor, who was already stupefied, he said.
“She’s my woman. If it weren’t for your desire to meet her, I wouldn’t even be interested in bringing her here. Alright, mother, don’t test my patience any further. Either, we three will stay for dinner to celebrate with you or, we leave right now.”
The tone of the man’s words was cool, without a hint of warmth.
Such a response from a son was cold and heartless to a terrifying extent.
But Emily knew that everything Aidan Lucas said was true; he wasn’t threatening her.
From the moment he woke up four years ago, he was no longer her Ethan Wilson. Hoping he would consider her feelings, consider her as a mother, was simply impossible.
Suppressing the sorrow in her heart, Emily Taylor took a deep breath, her voice trembling as she said, “Okay, let it be… since everyone is here today, we shouldn’t spoil the mood. Let her join us at the table. Ethan, it’s only now that I realize she’s the ‘Alice’ you mentioned. Lily… haha, what a formidable girl.”
