As the first student recruited in the southern town of the Northern Continent by Lanci, although she hadn’t recently received any additional tutelage in Magical Engineering, in return, she had three senior professors come to visit, teaching her magic in passing.
Zestira was already quite familiar with the other three professors during this time. Not to mention she admired them greatly, always feeling as if they possessed the aura of the Great Demon Clan.
Upon spotting the two figures on the road, Antanas immediately slowed down and parked the carriage next to them.
"Eh? Why, boss, are you on a date with a student sister I don’t know?!"
She asks in surprise, holding the Little Black Cat.
Or rather, the moment the clever fox spotted Lanci and Sikder, it rushed towards them, gently nuzzling against them with its fluffy head.
"Hey, Antanas..."
Sinola quickly tugged at Antanas’s sleeve. She knew that Antanas was pretending not to know.
"Teacher?"
Only at this moment does Zestira suddenly realize that the black-haired green-eyed youth is her teacher, Mr. Rocky.
"Hmm?"
The corner of Sigrid’s mouth curls into a small smile.
She purposefully scrutinizes Lanci standing next to her with a scrutinizing gaze, awaiting his response.
"So, what’s really going on? Can you enlighten us a bit?"
With a look of a reporter, Antanas grins and raises an imaginary microphone to ask.
"You’re wrong."
Lanci earnestly, clearly asserts,
"I’m not your boss. I’m Lanci Welfort, a first-year student at the Protoss Royal Magic Academy."
"..."
This answer puts an even broader smile on Sigrid’s face. What he denies is not the date.
Hearing Lanci’s response, Antanas raises both hands, lifting the cat boss above her head, cheering.
"May you both have a pleasant date!"
Under Antanas’s blessing, the carriage starts to speed up again.
Lanci and Sigrid exchange helpless glances as they watch the carriage disappear at the end of the road, then they turn around and begin to walk towards the outskirts of the school.
"The campus has changed yet again."
Sigrid observes the changes at the Protoss Royal Magic Academy compared to half a month ago.
Even though Principal Rocky McCarthy is about to retire.
But the art pieces he left in school will forever become legendary tales in the Protoss Empire.
If only his painting attitude and skill were as earnest and dedicated as his architectural design, perhaps that would leave a nice collection for my gallery.
Sigrid thinks to herself.
"This might be my last assignment in this school."
Lanci reflects on the many incidents that happened after he came to the Northern Continent.
You don’t notice them while they happen.
But as you’re about to leave, looking back makes every moment seem precious.
Chatting as they walked, the two left the school gates and stepped onto the streets of Herram City.
The South District of Herram is the downtown area, much busier than inside the campus. The skyscrapers and shops along the street have already opened for business this morning, while residents of Herram hurry along, spending their weekend.
Walking across this district, the two stroll beside the city’s river, its surface shimmering with a faint blue light.
The river flowing on the south side of Herram is no ordinary one; flowing with liquefied magical minerals that are unusually attractive to Magic Artisans.
However, this time Lanci does not pay attention to the river, his gaze remains fixed on Sigrid.
Today Sigrid had returned to the form of Sikder. Instead of the professional outfit, she had put on a more girly dress. 𝘯𝑜𝘷𝘱𝘶𝘣.𝘤𝘰𝑚
"How do I look today?"
As she walks, Sigrid lifts her skirt and twirls around a bit, letting Lanci take a good look at her from all angles.
"..."
Lanci tilts his head in confusion.
"Don’t I look good?"
Sigrid asks hesitantly. For some reason, she feels Lanci’s scrutinizing gaze is saying: "You look very much like a woman today."
She worries that if she probes any further, her blood pressure might explode.
"I still think you look best in your original form."
Lanci answers earnestly.
"..."
This leaves Sigrid slightly startled. After a quick cough to mask the half-second pause she just had,
"...Well, Once we get to a slightly less crowded place, I’ll transform back to my original form for you to see. "
Sigrid leans in closer to Lanci and reciprocates.
After speaking, she playfully fiddles with her long hair.
"However, today it might have to inconvenience you a bit, to go on a date with Sikder, and not Sigrid. "
Sigrid adds regretfully.
"You won’t continue to calculate favorability, would you? If it’s too low, you won’t give me the stela."
Lanci senses Sigrid’s examiner-like gaze and feels like she’s about to start scoring him again.
"What are you saying? I don’t understand."
Sigrid pressed her finger to her lips, thinking.
Yep, that’s it.
She thought to herself but didn’t speak, letting him understand on his own.
"So today, are you Sigrid, or Sikder?"
Lanci decided he had to figure out this issue.
In fact, during the month when he went to the north of the empire with Sigrid before, he never understood the definition criteria of Sigrid.
"Um."
At first, Sigrid didn’t speak after hearing this, as if she was thinking about how to concoct a convincing explanation.
Gradually, she found that she indeed couldn’t concoct one.
In the end.
"My name is Sikder, a second-year student at the Protoss Royal Magic Academy, nineteen years old, here is my student’s monthly ticket."
Sigrid blinked her left eye, speaking to Lanci with full of pep.
"..."
Lanci choked. He, who always abided by the rules, was baffled by an unclear rule for the first time, and he had been confused for a while.
"Are you intentionally reporting yourself for faking a student identity to the principal?"
Having been in education for so long, this was the first time he had encountered such an audacious student like Sigrid.
"Dare to revoke my student status and see."
Her voice lowered a bit, leaning in to poke Lanci, slightly warning, even threatening him.
"I wouldn’t dare."
Lanci shook his head.
"Having not seen each other for so long, don’t you have anything to say to me?"
Sigrid asked suddenly, as if she had remembered something.
"Congratulations to Mr. Bishop on nearing the Ninth-order...."
Lanci held his fist to his palm, turned sideways, and congratulated Sigrid.
"Fifth-order."
Sigrid’s clear voice interrupted him.
"Advancing to the Ninth-order again…"
Lanci’s voice paused for a moment before continuing.
"Fifth-order!"
Sigrid emphasized again, glaring at Lanci, not allowing him to finish his sentence.
She knew what he was trying to convey!
It would be better not to congratulate!
"Sikder is Fifth-order, has always been Fifth-order, you might be even stronger than her if you try hard."
Sigrid wrapped her arms around herself, avoiding eye contact and looking at the lake, mumbling.
"What do you mean? Can you explain it specifically?"
"Docked points."
The two of them stepped onto the bridge over the river. After crossing it, there was another neighborhood.
Next to the high-rise building, the sun was slanting down, the Sky Garden held up by a transparent magic barrier floated in the air, with singing plants and glowing ghosts swaying in the garden with the wind.
They passed underneath the Sky Garden without worrying about it suddenly falling.
"Where are we going next?"
Sigrid followed Lanci’s gaze, glanced at the Sky Garden, and asked.
"There is a weekend performance in the Sky Garden today. We will have lunch at the Fourth Avenue in Herram. I have a no-appointment-needed card for the restaurants there. You can choose which one to go to. I didn’t plan anything for the afternoon, planning a full schedule might feel a bit stressful, we could just go around Herram depending on our mood. If you are willing, I have the audience tickets for ’The Herram Evening Show’ tonight. Would you like to go see it?"
Lanci was tapping his finger lightly, explaining to Sigrid leisurely.
If a date is aimless and lacking reservations, the experience is likely to be a lot of queuing up, and end up killing time boringly.
Especially today, which is Saturday in Herram.
"How did you arrange the whole itinerary?"
Sigrid was somewhat surprised.
This mature feeling from a man in his thirties was really strange.
She originally thought that Lanci didn’t prepare anything as she rushed back after suddenly finishing her work and didn’t notify Lanci in advance. She came directly to Redmond building.
It seemed she could add some favorable impression points for him today.
"You’ve found out, huh."
Lanci took a small notebook out of his pocket.
On it, he had earnestly made travel recommendations for Herram.
The title of that chapter was — ’A Guide to Herram that Even a 3-Year-Old Would not Get Lost.’
Seeing this, Sigrid laughed out of relief.
She laughed out of anger.
