Chapter 81: Crimson Slaughterer [2]
Axel appeared right above his head, and swung down the sword on the barrier using all of his physical strength, using his runic eyes and spotting the loopholes and weak points in all the magic artifacts and spells. But still the barrier did not break, so he simply continued to hack away at it, with his full physical might as his crystal mana empowered his mana circuit.
Cedric continued to speak one rune after another,
"Seal"
"Amplification."
"Chaos"
"Death"
"Reflect"
An unknown wave of power washed over him, as injuries appeared on multiple of his internal organs, but he smiled as the demonic bloodline generated more power from the added injuries, healed him and gave him a greater physical boost in turn, his attacks increased by another tempo, while Cedric’s situation wasn’t too good, there were obvious limits to using the Runic Speech because of its overwhelming power. n𝚘𝚟pub.𝚌o𝚖
With every powerful command user loses a part of their will, so they need a few seconds in between to recover. Because of the effect of the ’reflect’, more and more attacks of Axel reflected on him, as his injuries increased, and so did his power. Eventually, the shield broke, Cedric wore magic gloves in his hand. As he was forced to engage Axel in a physical combat.
It was one of his trump cards, As each punch from the glove landed on Axel’s sword while Cedric was being continuously pushed away, Axel felt something foreign invade his mind, trying to cause chaos, in his emotions and even attempt on searching his memories, to his good luck, the demon bloodline did not like that transgression. It immediately focused all the demonic power within him towards the spirit-like parasite.
In just a few seconds, the parasite was destroyed. Cedric also felt that and roared in disbelief, "Impossible, that was my cancer hive source."
Axel only looked at his master in ridicule. He punched down into the ground as the ground cracked, and a small level of earthquake spread throughout the entire forest. Stomping on the ground, he rose high in the sky and threw his sword right at the stomach of his master. Cedric hurriedly shouted despite not having recovered,
"Space"
"Reflect"
"Probability"
"Void"
But Axel’s sword broke through all that and pierced the stomach of his master. Cedric threw up a mouthful of blood. Axel ran towards Cedric intending to finish him off, but an extremely powerful wave of fire attacked him, falling from the skies, to deflect the attack he brought out another sword from his space ring.
He slashed at it, and the fire was split in half, and his charge was halted midway. Soon, a figure in long white clothes with the insignia of the Sage tower appeared; it was the vice sage. All the vice tower masters appeared in the place one after another. The elemental towers’ vice master chuckled, looking at Cedric kneeling down, unable to bring out the sword that pierced his stomach. She stated, "Look at you? You were oh so confident in taking care of the outsider, but you were almost killed just now."
Cedric gritted his teeth and said, "Shut up."
But she did not mind and placed her hand on the sword, about to pull it out, but red lightning charged all inside of her body, as she jerked back in shock. Axel looked at all of them with a cold gaze. He put his hands forward in a grabbing motion, and the sword in Cedric’s chest cackled loudly as it shot towards Axel’s hand, and he grabbed the sword easily.
The Sage looked at Axel menacingly. He snapped his fingers and and everyone focused their attention on Axel, Cedric healed himself and stood beside them. All 12 vice tower masters were here. Out of nowhere a giant heavy sword fell from the skies, its tip pointed right towards Axel’s head, he easily deflected the sword, but soon another figure landed beside them, donning a fierce red and black armor, it was the berserker powerhouse.
He stated with a thick killing intent and a not-so-pleasant smile, "I am going to enjoy killing you, boy."
Axel asked the Sage, ignoring the berserker, "So, all of you have been on the scheme from the very start, and I thought it was just my master."
The Sage looked him up and down as if squinting at his demon form of Axel, analyzing and trying to find any information possible, but he was unable to find out much. He answered, "Not really, we only learned of you as an outsider by the prowess you showed in the competition, even then Cedric wanted to take care of you on his own, which he failed quite spectacularly."
After that, the Sage rose up into the air and stated towards the others, "Let’s finish this farce in one move, Berserker, that includes you as well, his threat is too great to be taken lightly."
The mighty warrior grunted but eventually accepted the arrangements. All of their figures started to glow in a unique light. The Sage glowed in white, Cedric glowed in Golden patterns, the Berserker Glowed in red, and the Elementalist glowed in multiple colors intertwined with each other. And the other’s each had their own color and energy as their mana spread in the air, a combined oppressive pressure pressed onto Axel, which he easily deflected with his own pressure.
Axel expression turned incomparably serious as all the tower master’s brought out their most powerful artifacts, activated their most powerful spells and charged up their most destructive attacks, not only that, Axel noticed how his master Cedric worked as a conduit between all of them and made sure all the different and conflicting attacks did not cancel each other out rather amplified and harmonized with each other instead.
The Sage stated nonchalantly, "Goodbye, outsider, it has been a pleasure knowing you, we shall put your body to good use, as the most prized research material in history."
His master Cedric added with ridicule, "Goodbye, my boy. You were, and always will be, my greatest disciple, you can be sure of that."
Axel let out a deranged laughter, "Heh-HEH-HEH-HAAAA hahahahaha ahahhahahaha!"
