Tu Lie was about to reach out and touch the plants when Shen Roujia quickly stopped him. She gently cautioned from behind, “Don’t touch them. We don’t know what properties these things have. It’s better to protect yourself first.”

Tu Lie felt a twinge of concern and replied with some frustration, “Isn’t this all for the sake of your case?”

Shen Roujia chuckled, “It’s not that urgent. Even if I can’t find these clues, with my brother’s abilities, he can perfectly avoid this danger.”

As she finished speaking, her face lit up with a proud smile, which made Tu Lie pause in surprise.

It was clear that her brother held a very special place in her heart. Realizing this, Tu Lie’s unease slowly faded, replaced by a rare feeling of guilt.

It seemed that she had lived well even without their involvement.

Shen Roujia, meanwhile, was focused on the task at hand, not noticing Tu Lie’s odd expression behind her.

Despite her confidence, she still felt uneasy and began to search the area more thoroughly, convinced that there had to be more clues. n𝚘𝚟𝚙u𝚋.co𝚖

Her attention shifted to the interior of the house. She pushed aside the overgrown weeds and cobwebs, determinedly making her way forward.

Tu Lie, watching her, was momentarily captivated by the determined aura she exuded.

As Shen Roujia entered the room, she detected a faint, charcoal-like smell but couldn’t pinpoint its source.

Once inside, she discovered that much of the interior had been burned. The charred remnants made it clear that something had been deliberately destroyed.

Shen Roujia vividly recalled that their family had been forced to leave Huizhou because they couldn’t stay any longer. Could these burn marks be the real reason behind their departure?

But why had only the inside been burned, while the outside remained intact?
