Chapter 993: Chapter 993: Have a Nice Dinner Tonight

"Who’s there!"

Startled by Aron Jackson’s cry, Cosmo quickly approached.

The two had been together for some time now, and only someone extraordinary could shock the boss of Gonzalez City.

"This name, it belongs to an old friend’s descendant."

Aron Jackson pointed at the name ’Lily Jorden’ on the list, his expression exceedingly grim, "I must call the boss; this is no small matter."

He never imagined that Lily Jorden would appear on the list!

"Hold on!"

Cosmo snatched the list from his hand, pushed open the door of the ward, and quickly approached Mr. Pendleton.

"Do you recognize this name?"

She pointed at the name Lily Jorden and icily demanded, "You had better tell the truth, or else, I’ll make you regret speaking."

Being an old friend’s descendant, the relationship must have been quite close.

This kind of security risk, Cosmo had to investigate thoroughly.

Enemies in plain sight, no matter how powerful, did not worry her.

Her master had that kind of strength.

Even if a Grandmaster from the list came over, they would have to kneel politely on the ground and bow their heads in respect.

But now, she feared being stabbed in the back.

She also hated, more than anything, being stabbed in the back.

If Lily Jorden truly betrayed her master, Cosmo wouldn’t mind acting first and reporting later.

Drawing the sword to kill!

"Uh..."

Mr. Pendleton was already breathing more out than in.

But he slowly turned his head, eyes fixed on the list, and he nodded slowly, "This person, a new recruit to the organization... currently undergoing assessment, but the skill... the skill is very strong..."

"Good!"

Cosmo stood up, looked at Mr. Pendleton, and coldly said, "I will call a doctor for you later, so you can heal properly. If you cooperate, the rest of your life will be worry-free. A car, a house, women, money, I will give you everything!"

With that, she pushed open the door of the ward.

A body full of murderous intent.

"Did you find out?"

Aron Jackson asked anxiously.

He knew a bit about the past and could tell that Julius Reed valued Lily Jorden quite a lot.

If the list was true, he could hardly imagine...

"I’ll make a trip first, watch out for your safety."

Cosmo glanced at Terry Moore and Karen, indifferently saying, "These two have some skill; they shouldn’t pose a big problem."

One could tell at a glance whether someone had the know-how.

Although Terry Moore might be no match for the Supreme Elder of Medicine King Valley,

Orville Ellsworth and Atticus Ellsworth were Grandmasters from the list!

Against ordinary members of the North Sea faction, Terry Moore could cut them down like chopping vegetables.

And with Karen, someone skilled in poisoning, protecting Quella Radcliffe posed no difficulties.

Unless a Grandmaster came.

But if a Grandmaster did come, even Cosmo couldn’t withstand them.

"Where are you going?"

Aron Jackson smelled a hint of killing intent!

And this killing intent was growing stronger.

"To kill!"

Cosmo stated calmly and then turned to leave.

"Wait!"

Aron Jackson was taken aback.

Whether dead or alive, Lily Jorden needed Julius Reed’s consent!

This sort of decision was not theirs to make.

From their usual interactions, Aron Jackson could tell that Julius Reed valued Lily Jorden greatly.

If she were killed by a sword stroke...

Whoosh!

He had only taken one step forward.

The next moment.

A Longsword was hanging over his neck.

If the blade moved forward even half a centimeter, Aron Jackson would have died instantly.

Gulp.

He swallowed hard, raising both hands, "You can’t decide this on your own. At the very least, let the boss know, let him decide. You listen to me..."

"The master is too merciful to strike."

Cosmo said coldly, "I will bear all the consequences."

Clang!

Having said that, the Longsword was sheathed.

From beginning to end, the only thing people could see was a flash of cold light.

Even Terry Moore was unable to see how Cosmo had made her move.

"This woman, she’s formidable!"

He gave a thumbs up to Karen and said, "See that, the women around Brother Davenport are not to be trifled with. The last one who drew her sword was even quicker than this one."

"Hey!"

Karen whispered, "That woman, she’s the first one to make Brother Davenport..."

"What are you two gossiping about?"

Quella Radcliffe asked with arched eyebrows, "Got a secret?"

"No... no..."

The two men hastily waved their hands.

If they accidentally let something slip, they feared that they wouldn’t be able to keep their tongues.

But actually, it didn’t matter because if they couldn’t keep their heads, their tongues would be useless anyway.

Before everyone had a chance to catch their breath, Cosmo turned and went back.

"The one to kill you, Terry Moore."

Karen said with a mischievous grin, "You said someone’s sword is faster than hers, she heard you."

"Bullshit! It was clearly you who said it!"

Terry Moore yelled, "You said someone’s sword is faster than hers, and that she’s more beautiful!"

Cosmo’s eyebrows furrowed slightly.

She looked at Terry Moore, "Treat your companion to something good tonight."

"Why?"

Karen asked curiously.

"Eat well because I’m sending you on your way!"

Swish!

A streak of cold light flashed by.

The blade cut off three strands of Karen’s hair and returned to its sheath.

Clack!

Karen’s duckbill cap split in two and fell to the ground.

"Prepare some joss paper, paper effigies, a paper sedan, and a paper house for me."

Cosmo ignored Karen and turned to look at Aron Jackson.

"Although I am a woman, I keep my word. I promised the guy in that room a woman, a car, a house, and money. I gave him an injection before leaving; by now, he’s probably dead. Burn these for him so he doesn’t haunt me as a ghost."

Having said that, Cosmo leaped up!

She disappeared through the window.

"You’re done for."

After she left, Terry Moore looked at Karen, "Find a bathhouse tonight, my treat. As brothers, I have to ensure you die without regrets."

"And then?"

Karen’s eyebrows furrowed slightly. "Or maybe I should go back to the capital city?"

"No need!"

Terry Moore took out his cell phone and pretended to make a call, "I call the police and they catch you, you can live for another half a month."

While the two were enthusiastically talking, Aron Jackson was already anxious like an ant on a hot pan.

"Sister-in-law, about this issue..." He finally decided to seek help from Quella Radcliffe.

"I don’t believe Lily Jorden is from The North Sea; there must be a misunderstanding."

As Quella Radcliffe recalled her brief interaction with Lily Jorden, she felt it was impossible for the other to be a spy from The North Sea.

That’s just a silly, sweet girl!

"I’ll call Julius Reed."

Having said that, she took out her phone and dialed the number.

"Reed, Aron Jackson captured a person in charge from The North Sea, and the name Lily Jorden came up as a suspect. Cosmo went straight for the kill with her sword, and we couldn’t stop her."

"Lily Jorden?"

Julius Reed was taken aback at first, then laughed, "I see, she must know about her father’s heritage and wants to find out the truth in The North Sea. That silly girl, she’s finally catching on."

"Then you have to call Cosmo back quickly!"

Quella Radcliffe said, even more anxious upon hearing this.

"No worries, let them fight. Lily Jorden is now not inferior to Cosmo at all. Though she wouldn’t last a single move in front of me, how many people have the courage to even make a move in my presence?"

Julius Reed reassured her over the phone, "Don’t be anxious. I heard from the list you got, there’s a Grandmaster. Have Aron Jackson send me the information on this person, and I’ll take care of it personally."

"But Aron Jackson said that you wanted to make use of Thunderpeak Hall..."

"I’d rather take things into my own hands. It would be more troublesome if Thunderpeak Hall were connected to The North Sea."

"Alright, I’ll have Aron Jackson send the information to you."

Having said that, she hung up the phone and turned to Aron Jackson, "Reed wants to meet with that Grandmaster personally."

"Understood!"

Aron Jackson hastily organized the information and sent it to Julius Reed.
