NOVPUB"This is stunning....." Leon’s eyes widened with shock as he slowly looked around the the massive Hall. It’s was the epitome of elegance and luxury.
A place like this.....Leon could only think of one in the whole of duan city.
The royal Palace.
It made sense, the Palace was the biggest structure in the central City, and it was a bit close to the faystone household....
"I wonder what treasure the sorcerer was talking about, and how it connects to the royal Palace...."
Leon couldn’t think of why the sorcerer wanted to enter the royal Palace, but as for him? His reasons for wanting to enter this place was clear.

A claim to immortality, Leon needed to investigate it at the very least. Not to mention what benefits would lay in pillaging the Palace of its treasures. It was an opportunity he couldn’t let go of....
While Leon was deep in through, a silhouette appeared from out of nowhere in the corner of Leon’s eyes.
"Hmm??!" Being very prescriptive Leon immediately noticed and turned his head to focus on the figure.
Before him a knight in shining amour stood with its great sword out staring Leon down like a predator.
(This is bad)
Leon frowned, a moment ago he was observing the place in awe and shock and had totally forgotten that the royal Palace was the most guarded area in the entire city.
And now he had been caught, Leon couldn’t think of what they would do to him if he was captured....but right now he had only two options.
Stand and fight, or Run.....
This time Leon chose the former.
"Elongateee" he threw out one of the daggers of twin fengs and was soon lifted into the air barreling towards the knight.

The knight readied his great sword and prepared for Leon’s attack. It would guard this place till his dying breath.
"BloodSerpent work: Blood projectiles"
Leon threw a bunch of blood constructs at the knight forcing it to block.

then when he got to the other side of the wall where his first dagger was lounged he used the wall as a leverage and threw himself at the knight.
He was a level 2 warlock and had a better physique than mages. A close combat was his best bet when fighting someone in his range.
"BloodSerpent work: BloodSerpent extensions"
Before the knight could completely regain himself from Leon’s previous barrage, he appeared right before the knight and hammered it with his blood serpent extensions.
Meanwhile, he used his daggers to slowly cut at the openings in its amour.
"Argggg" groaned in pain and desperately swung at Leon with its great sword.
"Dodge" Leon jumped backwards and dodged the attack. But not before leaving a litte present for the knight.
To the side of its amour, Leon’s dagger had pierced its lower abdomen.
"Explode!!" Leon smiled and activated a rune on the dagger and all of a sudden.

A small explosion erupted throwing the knight back into the air and fell to the floor dead.
"Phew" Leon smirked at the result of this. the explosion rune was a beauty and dealed alot of damage on its target, but it also consumed alot of energy.

Leon drew back the dagger from the corpse of the knight and replaced the energy storage gem. He had to do it each time he used the explosion rune, but luckily he had six in the holster each time.
"Hm?" As Leon was doing this... the knight slowly stood up right before his very eyes. Its amour was damaged but somehow, it Was still kicking.
—wooosh
Leon dashed forward once again and attacked the knight ruthlessly and after using the explosion rune once again. He finally down the knight.

As the knight fell to the floor lifeless Leon frown
"It’s not human?"
Leon walked up to its corpse and examined. It was leaking a greenish liquid from its internal organs and its skin looked nothing like a humans.
"Hmmm" Leon rubbed the blood from its flesh and gave it a sniff...and shockingly. A notification rang in his head.

The system announced in Leon’s head.....
Leon nodded hesitantly but decided to run the life devourer spell anyway.....and the result were astounding because in but a few minutes after Leon activated this spell.

A blood red aura blasted outwards from inside his body and extended outwards. This aura was terrifying carrying a sort of scare effect.
It indicates one thing, Leon had broken through to the middle stages of level 2.

Leon felt like crying, he made such an intricate plan to enter level 2 with the faceless mercenary company’s resources. He harvested so many mana tuned finwraiths all to enter level 2 and now just one of these creatures was able to push him to the middle stages?
That’s was unbelievable.
"Hehe, " Leon was delighted after breaking through, and couldn’t help but wish for more of these creatures to appear so he would benefit some more.
He couldn’t have made a more stupid wish because not long after.

From the sides of the walls of the hall, two figures similar to the knight appeared fully kitted infront of Leon as the one on the floor mysteriously his appeared.
"Hmmmmm, peak of level 2, and two of them...this isn’t going to be as easy ad before.....but i will win" Leon smiled and walked forward with two daggers in his hands.

At the same time
Outside of the faystone household.
A troop of about, 10 men in yellow amour and a royal could be seen standing before an over grown 6 year old.
Alvin, the young Lord of the faystone household had gone to report to the royalty about the massacre that happened in their household.
The royal family was their biggest backer, the had to report to them what happened so they would get justice for them .
"Clam down kid, we will go in and take a look, the faceless mercenary company’s leader has already been arrested" the royal in front explained to the faystone boy.
This lord of the faystone household was considered a genius of the truest sense....he was even ranked high in the top 30 sky mages of duan city.
But the royals was a totally different case, this young man before them was a head guard of the royalty and was already at level 3.
They were realms apart. He was called Duan Di.
"Okay, I’ll take you in myself....just Brace yourselves" Alvin was clearly annoyed that the royalty had only set someone in the same generation as him. But there was nothing he could do. The Royalty was not to be questioned.
As so they made their way into the faystone household to "investigate" what had happened there.
Meanwhile Leon was having a hard time defeating the two knights that had just appeared. They didn’t just attack him individually, they were well coordinated and would frequently help eachother out when they needed to.
It was frustrating, and Leon didn’t like it one bit.
"Kaga puppet" Leon called forth his kaga puppet and all of a sudden a gigantic silhouette made its way into the hall and streched forward and grabbed one of the knights by the forhead.
He then lifted it up and....

Slammed it directly into the floor crushing it in its entirety.

The system resounded.
Leon had the system report whenever one of these monsters died by scanning their life force, as these creatures were prone to getting up in insane times after laying them out.

The second one was ripped apart by the kaga puppet and thrown to the ground causing Leon to smile. They could fight him, but could they fight against the kaga puppet?
Fat chance!!!
Leon smirked and walked towards the corpses, but before he knew it a spear shot out of nowhere and nearly impaled him.
"What the?" Leon turned back and froze, just as the kaga puppet appeared, the number of klark knights increased to 30.
"Retreat" Leon muttered with a frown. It seemed like this room was automated to match the strength of the person clearing it.
It was better to fall back now.
So Leon did just that, he went through the door from the tunnel and the klark knights didn’t follow, only going back through the walls.
A few weeks ago, Bartholomew had explained to Leon that the Palace was alive and would actively try to kill whomsoever invaded it. That seemed to be true.....bur Leon believed there was more to it.
He would be back.
After leaving the Palace, Leon walked behind the kaga puppet as they made their way out of the tunnel.....at this point Leon had already started to draft a plan of attack, a method to get what he needed and leave.
But, as soon as they got to the end of the tunnel, he was shocked to see that several fully armed individuals had appeared at the entrance.
"Hm? Is that your sir vlad?" From the end of the tunnel a young man asked while peering into the tunnel. He could see the figure of a 7ft monster inside the tunnel and concluded that it was the faystone ancestor.
Noticing that the young man hadn’t seen him yet, Leon slowly sank back into the darkness of the tunnel.
He would let the kaga puppet deal with this
