"Hmmmm" with a sly smile on his face, Leon looked down at the people below him. They had come asking to understand what Leon’s plans were with the great mage Damien.

This whole the was planned between them and them alone....so they were at Leon’s mercy.

"It’s not going to ge easy to win in the way you want to....you’re just too weak for it" Leon started speaking.

There were three factions fighting for supremacy over the faceless mercenary company.

One was called the balwin faction. It had on its side an old peak level 3 mage, with alot of pull in the company. In fact, this was the top faction in the faceless mercenary company.

Even Damien’s former faction, the vertan faction paled in comparison to them.

There was the blackhorse, the Gia faction.....this faction didn’t really havs anyone specifical, it was but a band of 4 level 3 mages.....at least that was until recently.

At this time, they seemed to have an external back.....the Dalriss family.....that was in turn the royalty.

Working with an external power made the other factions annoyed, but what could they do? The marquee was a level 4 mage.

"I can make it work though....." Leon smirked.

The last faction was the vertan faction. Prior to this, they had a peak level 3 mage and the backing of Damien, so they were the most powerful in terms of Status. 𝑛𝘰𝑣𝑝𝑢𝑏.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Not now though, they had lost Damian and Half-moon had gone mad with grief from having his daughter kidnapped, presumably dead.

"How?" Jade asked, she too saw the problem, no one wanted to support her cause because she was too weak. Being only at the middle stages of level 3, she couldn’t stand up to her opponents who are much more powerful than her.

" we will find someone to take your place" with Damien captured, she was the only person with enough Talent and power to take over the vertan faction. What to take over the faceless mercenary company... one wouldn’t need Talent just Power.

And there was only one person in the vertan faction with that much power.

Half-moon.

" don’t worry about it, just give me some time... I’ll get back to you soon" leon dismissively said. Then signaled For the old man to lead them out of the hall.

From start to finish, Leon didn’t get off from his seats like some sort of noble. Naturally, he had the right to behave her such..... He had risked his life to get to this point and he would enjoy it.

Plus they were the ones who needed his help.

So not long after the vailed lady jade, was taken out of the hall, by the old man and were given a place to stay.

Meanwhile inside the hall,

"Sigh," leon blew out a breath of hot air and looked over at Arian. Then he gently stood up and walked to the wall where his chair was resting

"Badur’s gates"

Badurs gates Magically appeared and Leon went right through....vanishing from the hall.

Inside of Badur’s gates.

Leon’s figure appeared and he made his way through Badur’s gates. After consuming the ss grade treasured pagoda from the primogenitor, Badur’s gates became more elegant and eye catching.

"Going down" Leon approached the seemingly bottomless pit in the middle of badurs gates and stepped unto the platform.

He was going down the mountain.

—vooo

But this time, he wasn’t going to the bottom.....because half way down, the platform suddenly stopped before an iron door bound with a multitude of chains inscribed with runes.

"Ķávřœn" Leon uttered something incoherent causing the door to light up and the chains that bound it to slowly loosen allowing Leon to open the door.

Badur’s Gates had several sections for several activities.....but mainly what littered the place were the dungeons. There were hundreds of prison cells in here.

This was because, the ss grade treasured pagoda wasn’t the first treasure Badur’s gates had devoured.

In his Past life he had devoured a treasure known as the infinite chain prison when he was captured by a powerful sect. Not only did he escape with the help of some Allies, he ended up killing the owner of the prison and devouring it.

Of Course, he didn’t fear that his own prisoners would escape because, not only had he taken precautions against them. Badur’s Gate was in a totally different dimension. Without his permission you wouldn’t be able to gain access.

"Hmmmm, create a path" Leon said when he entered through the door.

There was no walking path before him, and the whole place was covered in chains with special attack runes and traps. Bur Leon being the owner and administrator of badurs gate. Leon had full access

A single word from him deactivated everything and forced a platform to emerged emerge connecting him to the various cells in the dungeon.

The sound of Leon’s feet striking the floor resounded as he slowly made his way down the path straight to a prison cell.

"Hmmm, enjoying your stay I see

.." Leon smirked.

In the prison cell infont of him was a man chained up by a multitude of chains covering him from head to toe. It was a wonder how he could even breath at this point.

This person was none other that the sorcerer.

After finally capturing him, Leon placed him in the highest intensity prison cell in badurs gate. In this place, the chains that bound him were constantly sucking away his life force energy allowing him to stay alive, but not so much that he could even think.

The pain and suffering, he could feel it, but he couldn’t formulate a simple coherent thought. This was the best state Leon could keep him in.....

"Loosen" Leon commanded and once again the chains released their grip from the sorcerer’s body.

—plop

Immediately after, he fell to the floor helpless. There was not even an ounce of strength in his body.

"Stand up old bastard" Leon squatted down and said before manipulating one of the chains to prop up the sorcerer by wrapping around his neck.

"Here" Leon threw a pill into the sorcerer’s mouth and smiled. The pill contained a very minute amount of life energy, at least it wasn’t enough to let the sorcerer recover all his strength....buy it would allow him to endure what would happen next.

"First things first, I want to know the where abouts of the ones you kidnapped....." Leon said casually yet firmly.

Out of all the atrocious things the sorcerer did, he also kidnapped members of the faceless mercenary company. He was a sadistic monster and took out his anger of being sealed on the family members of the faceless mercenary company.

Even though this was sad, Leon cared more about one target the sorcerer had taken....Ember.

She was the first one he took without anyone knowing, but up until now, no body had been found. It drove half moon mad.....and if ever they wanted control over the company, they would need him.

"Hehehe, you think ill tell you ? After all you did? You must be dreaming" the sorcerer said with much struggle.....he truly was weak at this moment, but the joy from seeing that he had something Leon wanted gave him joy....there was till room for negotiation.

At least that was what he thought.

"Good!! That’s a good enough excuse for me to proceed." Leon smiled evily and pulled out a leather bag from his robes.

Torture equipment.

"No....not again....pleaseeeeee!!!!" The sorcerer frantically struggled while he watched Leon’s silhouette slowly make its way into his prison cell with a sadistic smile.

"Sorry, I don’t negotiate with terrorists" Leon gave an iconic line...

But what he really meant was that he would torture him no matter what, the terrorist part was but an excuse to do what he wanted.

3 hours later.

—voom

Leon walked out of badurs gate and into the faysone family’s main hall with blood stains all over his gloves.

"Get the horses" Leon said calmly to Arian who was now seated at the helm of the room in Leon’s absence.

"Hm!!" Hearing Leon’s voice Arian quickly nodded and made her way out of the room.

Following which, Herself, jade, the blade demon and Leon made their way out of the faystone household on horseback heading directly out of the Central city.

After riding for a while, they entered the west of duan city and began descending to the depth of the city.

When Leon was here last, he had noticed the sorcerer’s activities....but at that time he wasn’t able to place two and two together...that was until now.

In the whole of duan city, there was nowhere he could hide and engaged in his deplorable acts without being noticed....except for the undercity.....so this was where he was based, it was no wonder why Damien couldn’t find him.

He was focused on the wrong place.
