In a dark purple world filled With swirling clouds in the sky. A tinge of a desolate aura filled the air.
"Sigh" inside this purple world,a young lady with black hair sat atop a mountainous formation with her head down.
She couldn’t remember how long she had been here and how old she was.....in fact she had pretty much forgotten who she was, and he little bits and pieces she did remember were so vague that she couldnt even formulate a coherent memory.
She was in a state of limbo.
"I...need to get out...of here, but where is this?" The young lady muttered under her breath. She had been stuck here for so long that she had forgotten who she was, but for some reason she understood that this was not where she was supposed to be.....she needed to get out. 𝓃𝓸𝓋𝓅𝓾𝒷.𝒸ℴ𝓂
But how? She couldn’t even come up with any thoughts on how to leave.
"If I Was like him I’d have gotten out by now, if only I had all that talent" the young lady spoke with annoyance.
Even though she didn’t remember much, a figure remained embedded in her mind.....the figure of a young man with white hair In a faceless mask.
Leon.
She couldn’t hide that she was envious of Leon from the start. His talent and the way he carried himself, it was something she wanted so bad so on every avenue that presented itself, she tried to compensate for her lack of talent.....but Leon kept showing her up in the most natural ways.
It had created a sort of heart Demon in her.
She didn’t hate Leon, she just wanted what he had.....that was all.....but life was unfair....it placed her in a situation like this.
[Ding,
The specimen is suitable. Beginning test of envy
]
In the skies above her, a heavenly yet computerised voice resounded forcing the young lady to look up.
This was a strange occurance, but she couldn’t quite understand what it was.....however....she didn’t need to, this test was a test of the heart not one of the mind.
"Ahhh,"
Outside Ember’s mindscape Leon became light headed and fell back almost falling to the floor, but in the nick of time, Arian appeared and stopped him from landed on the floor.
(He’s being so dramatic)
Arian shook her head. Leon was such a drama queen, he was acting like this process took alot from him when it clearly didn’t. She knew this because he had done the same thing to her and then he wasn’t weak.
He was clearly pretending.
"He will need some rest.....she will be fine soon" Arian followed his lead though. Yes Leon was being an asshole by forcing Half-moon into a contract like this for something that didn’t take anything from him.
But what could she say? It was his gift to give, only he could determine how he wanted to share it and what price he wanted in return.
"Okay" Half-moon nodded, he could already see a change in Embers condition. Her cheeks were slowly becoming bright red and her flesh more robust. She was healing.
However, her change wasn’t in the realm of his understanding.....her hair turned purple and her aura changed...somehow like how he felt when around Arian.....Ember was beginning to radiate a sort of energy that he couldn’t quite understand.
"Get well princess" he could only hope that she got well with time....

Meanwhile,
"I’m only a step away.....I just need a little push" in a glowing cave right underneath the undercity. An old man with golden hair and a look filled with vitality could be seen seated in a lotus position.
"Whatever you need lordship....we will provide you with even our lives if need be" infront of him, a similarly dressed man bowed respectfully to the man in front.
He was actually the grandchild of the man In front.....and his status was no ordinary.
He was the current Head of the golden Griffin clan of duan city. One of the few warlock clans to stand at the peak of duan city. They were praised and glorified by all....but not at the moment though.
Right now they were under the threat of termination as the royalty of Eldoria tried their very best to find and eliminate them.
"Speak for yourself old bastard..." Beside him a man who didn’t seem to be a day over 30 spoke with clear disdain.
He respected the old man infront of them, but not his grandchild. This grandchild of his was a con artist hated by almost every power in the city....however, he had the backing of his grandfather If not he would have recieved a beating long ago.
"You...Bartholomew!!! Speak with respect before the Lord here!!" Waving his hand frantically at the young man before him, the clan leader of the golden Griffin clan berated.
He didn’t like Bartholomew’s words. His grandfather was their only hope, they would have to give all they have for him to break through or else all the warlocks in duan city would become mince meat in the hands of the mages.
"Stop child" the old man at the helm of this meeting said with his hand out. This meeting was meant to inform the warlocks of his progress in breaking through to level 5. Not for this bickering.
And yes, he understood that his grandchilds previously words were meant to create an avenue to extort the people here of resources.
He was claiming that the old man needed resources to break through when he clearly didn’t.
"Hmm, why don’t we have a bit of a competition with the mages?" After scanning the tensed room, the old monster suggested.
The tensed atmosphere wasn’t good for the growth of their community. His breakthrough shouldn’t be pulled them away from each other as it was doing right now.
"With the mages?" The words of the old man made the room slightly chilliy.
A competition was normal if it were against warlocks like them, but against a mage at this time? That was foolish wasn’t it?
"Hehe, yes.....if I’m correct, the sky festival will soon begin, before this whole rubbish with the clans it was a thing to be celebrated....even the warlocks would often participate." The old man continued.
This sky festival they were talking about was the festival that chose the sky mages of the kingdom.....it wasn’t really held by the kingdom itself.....it was held by external powers but just for mages.....but in times of peace, the warlocks would bring out their talent to challange.
It was a way of promoting unity.
"This is a bad idea...." The clan head of the golden Griffin clan was going to oppose, then he remembered who he was speaking to causing him to shut up.
"It’s not a bad idea.....we will crash the party" a massive brute behind said loudly.

The Oldman of the golden Griffin clan was proposing an event of peace between the two races....but this guy could only think of causing trouble.
But then again....were they expecting anything else from him? This was the head of the mountain gorilla clan after all.
He was a brute that enjoyed fighting just for the thrill of it....
"That’s not what I meant....but whatever floats your boat....I need to focus, be gone" the old man shook his head and waved his hand.
Magically, everyone in the room disappeared and reappeared in their various homes and stronghold.
The power of a level 5 mage!!!!
He was able to summon their essences to an unknown location and Speak to them without giving them a choice. This kind of power.....it was beyond their comprehension.
If he could do this just by touching the boundaries of level 5 they could only wonder what else he would be capable of when he actually reaches that stage
(I too must reach this stage)
Bartholomew thought bitterly. Ever since he entered level 4 he had become stagnant not moving an inch forward.....and he dreaded this feeling the most, but what could he do?
He could only train, seeing what the old man of the golden Griffin clan could do made him feel exicted.
"Oh yes, Liana....you should prepare for a fight...the old man wants us to crash the sky festival"
Bartholomew looked to the side and said. Liana was seated in the dojo right beside him....
The sky festival would have several people of varying levels of strength...the peak however was the peak of level 3.
Yes!! Peak level 3 mages could become sky.
That meant people like the blood Demon Liana could participate in this competition. This was absurd but true.....
"Oh yes.....get the warlock boy too.... that is, if he wants to participate too" after a brief moment Bartholomew added
The person he was talking about was none other than Leon himself.
