"Heal!!!"

"Heal!!!"

"Stabilise her breathing"

"Don’t do that yet"

Around a sickly girl with red hair, a few maids and healers stood trying their very best to stablize the girl with red hair.

When they first got here, Leon was single-handedly healing and keeping her alive with his crude methods. But When they took over though, they realized that this entire situation was more dangerous than it seemed for outside the operation.

"Hmm, he’s here" at the side of the room, Leon said causally.

Outside the faystone family main house, the silhouette of a slight aged man as tall, If not taller that the kaga puppet could be seen landing with full force.

—Boom!!!

As he did so, his facial expression was revealed.....helplessness, pain...but strangely also excitement.

His daughter whom he had been looking for for so long had finally been found, but she was in a critical condition. This news, he didn’t know how to feel about it.....but one thing he knew was that he had to get there as soon as possible.

—Boom

The doors to the faystone main hall blew open and half moon entered with a heavy stride. At the same time, Leon exited the healing room and tried to calm Half-moon down.

"Hold on, old man....you shouldn’t go in there just yet" Leon raised his hands and said. They were currently trying to save Embers life inside there. The old man would only be distracting them if he went in now.

"Hm? I have to see her at least, I can’t let her die" Half-moon looked desperate. A father and his child were inspeprable, now after all that happened Leon was trying to stop him from seeing her? That was impossible!!!

"You will only be worsening the situation....I can tell you now, she is on the verge of death and those guys in there are the only reason she is still alive, if you interrupt we might lose the only opportunity for her to live, you have to be patient" Leon explained the situation to Half-moon.

The sorcerer had kidnapped Ember for one reason and one reason alone. He wanted her special flame Ember had...but this special flame was bound to the very depth of her soul.

Normally, most people would stay far away from the process of taking a special flame because of the soul aspect of it. But he was a sorcerer.....the soul was his specialty

So he went to work, slowly draining Ember of her soul energy, weakening her till she lost herself and the essence of her soul.

"This...that bastard!!!" Half-moon gritted his teeth and cursed at the sorcerer. This was all the sorcerer’s fault.....he wanted nothing more than to kill the bastard him. Unfortunately, Damien had gotten to him first

"We must wait" Leon said before turning back to the door with a worried expression all over his face.

Of course, this in itself was but a facade. It wasn’t that Leon did care, he just knew that Ember would be fine eventually.....but it would require him to take an extra step.

A few hours later.

"There’s nothing we can do to keep her alive....you should say your goodbyes" with a frown on her face one of the healers said.

She had been in this line of magic for decades and had a very close relationship to former lord of this house.....but never in her life had she seen a situation like this.

No matter what method she used, she was not able to fix Ember. She was trapped in her mind and because of how weak her body was she couldn’t even heal properly.

"That can’t be right..." Half-moon shuddered with his eyes wide open. However before he could say another word Leon walked straight forward towards thw room.

"Come" he causally said to Half-moon before entering the healing room.....

"This isn’t a physical problem.....I didn’t think of it before, but I’ve seen something like this before, it’s hard to cure" Standing right over Ember’s body, Leon spoke with a look of contemplation in his eyes.

But clearly he was only stating the obvious as the healers around could easily infer this to be true. Leon didn’t need to act so mysteriously to tell them what they already knew.

"The thing is....I believe I can cure her...." Leon made a bold claim, and almost immediately the leader of the healer frowned.

She was a level 3 mage that had focused on healing her entire life, and she said there was no curing the girl. Who was Leon to tell her otherwise? He was but a mere level 2 mage.

At this point, the healer had forgotten that Leon was the one hold Ember together long before they came.... her pride had overtaken her basic sense of reasoning.

"Really?" Contrary to what she was feeling....Half-moon beamed in excitement. A way to heal his daughter, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for this no matter how absurd it sounded.

"Yes, but the price I’ll have to pay.....is just to much, I’m not sure if I can" Leon maintained a frown as dark as night. This quickly caught the eye of Half-moon. It seemed like this method Leon was talking about came with a price that could cause harm to himself.

"You....have to, I will do anything" it seemed selfish for him to asked Leon to risk himself for his daughter, but that was exactly what Half-moon did.

Between his daughter and Leon, he would pick his daughter 1000 times. This was just nature, so he egged Leon on.

However, he didn’t expect Leon’s next words to strike him at his core.

"I will do it, but I’m afraid I can’t do it for free, you will have to sacrifice too" Leon said with gashed teeth showing a sort of reluctantance. But in his mind he couldn’t help but shake his head.

(Hehe, thw old bastard has no morals....you can’t blame me then)

Leon tried his best not to smirk. But he couldn’t help but shake his head.

The old man wanted him to sacrifice himself for his daughter, in which world was that kind of thin normal? But could he really blame the old man for wanting the best for his child?

No

At the same time, he couldn’t let himself become a victim in this situation.

"What do I have to sacrifice?" The old man frowned deeply. Actually he was ready to do anything for his child, he just wanted to know what.

"I will be in a weak state for 5 years after doing this....at that time I will need protection, one that can even give their life for me" Leon said slowly but firmly.

He wanted Half-moon to guard him from all dangers for a period of 5 years. This was a massive Demand seeing that Half-moon was a peak level 3 mage.

"That’s.....too much" Half-moon said hesitantly. Give his life protecting Leon? How was that any different from slavery?

He was a peak level 3 mage for gods sake. How could he be a slave to Leon?

" There’s nothing I can do.....if you can’t agree to these terms, I’m afraid."

What leon said made some sense though, he was going to weaken himself to save Half-moon’s daughter. The least he could do was protect him for a period of time.

"4 years" after a brief moment Half-moon countered Leon’s offer. He was trying to bargain....it was extremely embarrassing especially with the fact that it was his daughters life that was on the line.

But Leon understood....it was hard for a power house like him to accept such terms so Leon immediately compromised.

"4 years, agreed, but we much swear a blood oath" Leon suggested.

A blood oath was a binding oath. One of the most painful and heart wrenching ones if broken....it was a fitting way to bind this agreement.

"Okay," Half-moon agreed, but also suggested to add some restrictions to leons side of the oath like, Leon couldn’t make him kill his daughter, ahd he could only do things within the limits of not offending people that were too powerful.

After a few changes here and there he shook Leon’s hand. Soon Leon initiated the blood oaths and the deal was down.

However.....there was one note that Half-moon didn’t quite know. Leon was a member of the blood serpent clan. The only clan that could ignore blood oaths of they really wanted to.

"Okay, it’s time" Leon held Embers hand and muttered.

"Sin of Envy"

His eyes turned white and so did Embers.

Leon had planned to make Ember one of the sins long ago, she exhibited the characters of envy....and Leon couldn’t help himself.

There was also the fact that the system had characterised Ember as the reincarnation of a powerful being known as Saint firestone.

Leon really couldn’t help himself seeing all these benefits it was only natural.
