"Alduwin, I finally found you..." Liana smiled bitterly. She had used her influence to try find Leon but he seemed to have disappeared from the face of the earth. It wasn’t until he actually wanted to found that he reared his head.

It was like him saying, you can’t find me unless I want to be found.

"Hehe, the matriarch is wise" Leon smiled and took up a cup of tea from the floor and sipped it through his lips.

"You broke through so fast, don’t be modest...." another thing she had noticed was that Leon was already a level 2 warlock....how long had it been since they last met? A month or two? This was astonishing...she didn’t really know how to address him at this point. Not only did he safe her, the speed at which he rose was so fast that she couldnt help but think that he would reach her soon.

Leon was an enigma to her.

"It’s just luck, how have you been holding up?" Leon asked. He didn’t come here to be praised, he was still very weak in his book

"Hmmm, duan city is unforgiving....." Liana smiled weirdly. Just two days ago she had been found by the dalriss family and had engaged in a brutal battle with Alaric. At the last minute a Level 4 clan head of the warlocks stepped in chased alriac and his goons away.

There seemed to be no rest for her in duan city.

"We must endure" Leon consoled.

"Hmmm" Liana shook her head. She knew why she was in duan city, but she doubted that Leon was here for the same reason. Because not alot of people knew why what happened to the warlocks actually happened.....

"Okay, tell me why you chose now to reveal yourself?" After a brief pause, Liana asked Leon. He had to have a reason for only just now appearing, she wanted to know that reason.

"I have come to a knot in my journey, I don’t know as much on how to proceed as a warlock, so I decided to come back to my roots.....and seeing as you’re the only blood serpent clan member I know..." Leon was straight forward.

He didn’t know how to continue progressing as a warlock, in fact his breakthrough before, as much as he wouldn’t like to admit it was pure luck mixed with several guesses. This way of doing things he didn’t like it. At some point he thought of switching back to negative energy solely.

But he didn’t know the implications, his biology was totally different from before, a slight mistake could end his life, Or severely cripple him.

"Ahhhh, I see" Liana nodded. The span of time from when Leon started moving to when they were attacked and enslaved was too short, he barely knew anything of this own bloodline and how to keep going forward.

"It’s quite complicated....no one can really help you with that past level 1. At level 2 you’re really on your own, but there’s some advice.....you need to improve your beast aura, make it more lifelike, you’re trying to create something like this....."

—woooom

All of a sudden a frightening aura the likes of an abssyal creature that had bathed in blood for hundreds of years filled the air.

It was in one word, disgusting.

Arian’s face soon became green as he almost vomited....

"Hahaha, so sensitive" Liana laughed loudly. Her beastly aura was always like that.....only Leon was not moved, infact he was interested, even gunta looked at it in a daze.

"Anyway....it needs to get much more compelling, to the point that it feels like that, of course it doesn’t have to be as putrid as mine....its all about how you progress....I can help you if you stick around for a while. Liana explained.

Beastly aura, Leon had first encountered it in the undercity from the warlock from the steel gorilla clan. Now he could use it himself, but he had no idea it was so important.

"Okay, I’ll stay for a while" Leon nodded. He still had the assassination mission from the sorcerer, but he couldn’t achieve it without preparation and the sorcerer knew this. So he had time.

"Good, ughhh!!" As Liana said that she was suddenly struck with a sudden peirceing pain in her chest casuing her to Grint her teeth.

This made Leon and the rest frown, they were just noticing a strange web of purple pulsing veins along her check area.

"What’s that?" Leon squinted his brows. Liana was in a lot of pain and he could sense it.

"Ahh, its nothing much, just a result of that bastard Alaric" Liana after the pain went down said slowly. Alaric had injured her and his weapon left and unhealing wound. It didn’t matter how hard she tried, how many healing spells she used, it didn’t work out for her.

"Alaric?" Leon frowned then placed his hand on his chin...."can I give it a try?" Leon asked

"A try?" Liana raised her eyebrows. What did Leon mean by give it a try? Was he going to perform a miracle? Even several level 3 healer warlocks had failed, what could he do?

"I’ve seen this before, I think I can heal you" Leon smiled and stood up to approach he then sat before Liana and said

"Heal"

All of a sudden a magic circle appeared before him and its rays descended on Liana. An attack from Alaric, the commander of the death squad. This had happened to only one person he knew.

Arian.

And he was able to save her.

—ciiiiiiii

The light from the healing spell fell upon Liana covering her wound in green light Liana couldn’t see it but she could feel it. She was healing slowly.

A sudden look of amazement soon covered her face. She could remember how Alaric attacked the lady at the back of Leon.

She was stabbed right through the chest, normally this would spell her death, but she was standing here hail and healthy.

"What are you really?" Liana looked at Leon with curiosity, the things the kid could do were amazing..... 𝓷ℴ𝓿𝓅𝓊𝒷.𝓬𝓸𝓂

"That’s it" Leon drew back his hands and the magic circle disappeared revealing the healed up body of Liana.

It was all gone leaving only her fresh smooth skin. She was healed from the rot of Alaric’s weapon, this was something level 3 warlocks had failed to do and Leon a newly promoted level 2 warlocks was able to do it.

"Ahhhh" suddenly Liana felt a weight lift off from her shoulders and in the next minute.

—sssssssss!!!

The sound of a slitherous hiss followed by an apparition of a snake appeared behind Liana, this phenomenon not only shocked Leon, it seemed to draw the attention of several others in the rooms opposite them.

"Congratulations blood Demon Liana,"

"Congratulations clan head"

"Congratulations..."

Several words of praise rang out from God knows where as several warlocks gave their praise.

The moment Leon healed her wounds Liana directly broke through to the peak of level 3...she was now on the same level as Alaric, If not stronger.

"Thank you brothers" Liana smiled from ear to ear then all of a sudden another voice resounded.

But unlike the rest this one carried a majesty Leon had only ever seen once in the person of the great mage of the faceless mercenary company.

"Congratulations clan head Liana"

A level 4 warlock had come to offer Congratulations

"Thank you senior" Liana didn’t bow, but she showed her respect.

"When you’re done with your guests please come see me" the voice sounded once again before disappearing totally.

"Congratulations clan head" Leon also offered his congratulations, he too gave his Congratulations.

"I should be thanking you brother Leon, you have done me a great service" Liana shook her head. The favors she owed Leon were stacking higher and higher if she allowed him to continue she might end up owing him her life.

"It’s not a bother" Leon shook his head, he didn’t know that she would break through, he was just healing her randomly. Though, that didn’t mean he wouldn’t take the appreciation.

It was also adding to his bargaining chips, the more favors she owed him the better for him and his future plans.

"A reward is in order" Liana stood up and walked to a corner of the room, there she had papers and pens where she seemed to be engaging in writing of Manuels.

"You are welcome to take your pick at any spell here" Liana brought to Leon a box full of spell manuals.

She had spent most of her time here writing down lost spells of the clan that she had memorised and practiced. If ever a time came that she was no longer here, these would be useful to any memebers of the blood serpent clan that got a hold of them.

They contained spells ranging from grade 1 all the way to peak of grade 2. The best of the best the blood serpent clan had to offer
