Chapter 267: Let’s Kill The Vampire Lord

Rhett looked closely at the map, his fingers brushing its surface gently.

It wasn’t really detailed but it was better than nothing. It seemed the nymphs had outdone themselves.

"We managed to find an entrance to the underworld... Here." The nymph Queen pointed at a mountain on the map. It was located deep in Raven Wood’s forest. "But it seems it was only built recently. The vampires have been using it as a point to launch attacks on nearby territories... Including this pack."

Rhett’s brows creased into a frown. It all made sense now, how the vampires had been able to launch such a large-scale attack on Raven Wood pack.

After looking around, the nymph Queen pointed somewhere else on the map. "After passing through the entrance, we’ll have to walk through a large line of hallways before reaching a hall where many of the vampires are gathered. It seems they make war plans here." Her fingers went to a hall underground.

Isleen, who’d been quiet all this while, ended up asking. "How were the vampires able to build all these underground networks so quickly? I mean, it doesn’t make sense, they don’t have any powers that could help with that."

All eyes went to the nymph Queen at that moment. She lowered her head, her face becoming gloomy like she was about to cry.

Rhett arched an eyebrow, glancing at Isleen who only shrugged cluelessly.

It was now the elven king’s turn to speak. "We discovered that the vampires have been secretly capturing earth nymphs and using them to increase the size of their underground territories. Nymph blood has been spilled in the process."

Oh... Holy moonlight.

Rhett glanced at the nymph Queen and couldn’t help noticing how the elven king placed a palm on her shoulder to comfort her.

Could something be going on romantically between the two fey leaders? Argh, why was that of any importance right now?

The fairy Queen took over speaking for the fey when it seemed the nymph Queen couldn’t speak anymore after the revelation.

"The only problem we’ll face with this final strike is the fact that the vampire Lord can see through the eyes of his vampire soldiers. To counter that, we’ll have to make sure we strike down every vampire we come across instantly." She uttered with a flat tone as her diamond-like wings fluttered gracefully behind her.

Once again, Rhett was surprised how the fey could speak so fondly about killing someone when it came to the vampires. It seemed they’d reached the edge after watching so many of their people die.

Even now, the fey couldn’t go against their sacred oath of never taking a life and were all merely going to act as a defense during the war. In the training camp, Rhett and Aceco had taught the enlisted fey soldiers ways that they could use their magic to weaken vampires without actually killing them.

Now that they had a little idea of the underworld, the next thing they needed to think of was finding the vampire Lord. That was where Isleen and Aceco came in.

With the help of Aceco’s magic, Isleen had found a way to amplify the effects of her special ability so she could not only sense but see beings of other races within a certain distance. She could take this further now by ’channeling’ her ability through a vampire and theoretically, track and pinpoint the exact location of their source of power... The vampire Lord.

But this meant Aceco and Isleen had to be protected during the battle, so Rhett had taken it upon himself to lead a division of the pack’s soldiers and enlisted soldiers who’d do just that.

This way, he’ll be able to follow them straight to the vampire lord’s lair. There he could do the world a favor by killing the bastard once and for all. _{n𝚘𝚟𝚙𝚞𝚋.𝚌o𝚖}

However, there was another problem with that.

"Now that we know how large the underworld is, there’s a chance that the vampire lord’s lair is far away from the entrance we’ll be using." The fairy Queen pointed out calmly. She then turned her gaze to Rhett. "That reminds me, you said the moon goddess revealed to you that there are other wolves with ’special abilities’ like Isleen out there. Have you been able to find them?"

Rhett nodded in response. As the representative and leader of the werewolves, he had used his authority to fish out any wolf with special abilities from other packs. It was made much easier with the moon goddess’ guidance.

He cleared his throat before speaking. "Apart from Isleen, there are a total of five other omega wolves each with their own unique special ability. I can call them in if you want."

The fey leaders glanced at the human leaders just then, acknowledging their existence for the first time in a while. The human leaders mumbled among themselves and shrugged. They clearly didn’t understand much of what Rhett had just said so they didn’t have much to offer in terms of opinions.

The fairy Queen turned back to Rhett and shook her head. "Don’t bother with that. Just give us a summary of their abilities. We’ll divide them into the other groups we’ll be sending through other entrances of the underworld that we can discover."

Rhett nodded before listing the abilities of these blessed werewolves. While Isleen’s ability was unique, others included: a wolf girl with silver-coated claws that also had poison capable of incapacitating vampires, a wolf man with the ability to see an incoming attack two seconds before it happens, another wolfman whose speed rivaled that of vampires, an elderly wolf man who could sense the death of a nearby wolf and a she-wolf with echolocation abilities that could help them understand the terrain quicker.

The only problem was that each of these wolves was an omega from a different pack. They’d need to be protected at all times during the battle, just like he and Isleen.

After giving a breakdown of the werewolves and their abilities, the fey leaders gave impressed nods.

Eventually, the fairy Queen added. "I’ll be tagging along with Rhett’s group. Just in case Vlad’s lair proves to be too far away... My teleportation magic could be of great assistance."

Rhett nodded with a smile. His gaze swept through every face presen

t before he uttered. "Let’s kill the vampire lord."
