After Megan lured the stone Death Knight inside a corrupted construction site, she managed to break through his helm and shoulder armor pieces.

The knight increased the potency of his attacks, and the spikes rising from the ground were reaching heights of over five meters high.

Still, Megan was able to destroy the spikes that targeted her with the sledgehammer, although she had to use all of her strength to break them.

During a brief moment when she shattered a spike before her, the Death Knight advanced quickly and slammed her with his remaining shoulder pad, flinging the woman against a mount of dirt next to a wheelbarrow.

Megan stood up and coughed out a bit of blood from the impact, using the back of her hand to wipe it off.

'That could work…' Megan thought, glancing at the Death Knight as if she were taunting him.

When the undead rushed forward again, each of his steps created numerous spikes around him, making the earth rumble and the unfinished structure shake.

Before she could get caught in another tackle, the brunette grabbed onto an iron rope beside her and broke the safety pin under, making her go upwards.

Right as she avoided being slammed with the shoulder pad, the undead crashed against a steel pillar and destroyed it, jeopardizing the structure's balance.

The knight looked up and saw Megan standing on a small platform above him that seemed to be used by the workers before they were turned into zombies.

Placing his hand on the ground and generating another large boulder, the Death Knight threw it at the platform and utterly destroyed it. Nonetheless, Megan had already jumped down.

The knight followed it up with another shoulder charge, and their battle started to look like a bullfight as the brunette kept avoiding him and making him crash against the pillars supporting the structure.

After luring the undead into crashing against several columns, the entire structure began wobbling, prompting Megan to stand on one side while the knight stood in the center of the ground floor.

At that moment, Megan glanced up and moved her finger slightly to the side, catching the knight's attention, who looked upwards to see what the woman was planning.

Megan had improved her umbra control drastically during her training, and she had managed to learn how to move her daggers without touching them. After she waved her finger, the blade moved violently to the side and cut the last rope supporting a steel beam that was over 10 meters high.

"Did you think I threw my dagger as a distraction?" Megan asked, knowing that she wouldn't receive an answer from her opponent. 𝓷ℴ𝓿𝓅𝓊𝒷.𝓬𝓸𝓂

As the beam fell, it knocked down a few others hanging on the sides of the construction site, along with an open elevator that workers used to get up.

Without moving from her spot, Megan witnessed how a couple of steel beams and debris landed on the knight, and when the dust cloud dissipated, she noticed the undead was still conscious.

The massive knight had lost an entire arm, and more than half of his stone armor had been shattered. However, he couldn't move as one of the steel beams had him impaled against the ground.

Megan raised her hand and made her dagger fly all the way back to her, catching it in the air and focusing on her target.

"Good fight," Megan muttered, rushing forward and slicing the knight's uncovered neck.

When the brunette left the construction site, it kept wobbling, only for it to crumble a few seconds later, which produced a shockwave and a massive cloud of dust that covered her visibility.

While she couldn't see where Lindsey and Irina were fighting against Radeon, she could sense a slight surge of energy coming from a few blocks away.

Megan wasn't very experienced when it came to detecting enemies' umbra. However, her state of alert had all of her senses heightened, so she was able to feel her two companion's aura not too far from her location.

As the brunette ran on the corrupted streets, she ignored the few zombies walking around and focused on reaching her team as quickly as possible.

Suddenly, she saw the top of a building explode, releasing a shockwave that made all of the glass windows shatter into thousands of pieces and rain down on the streets below.

From the other side of the building, Megan saw a person flying straight out of it, so she rushed with all of her speed, jumped over a vehicle, and used it to propel herself upward at even higher speeds.

Her heavy step made the vehicle cave in, and when she got closer to the falling person, she realized it was Irina, who was bleeding from her head.

After Megan caught the vampire sentinel in mid-air, she took out her dagger and stabbed the building next to them, slowing down their fall until they safely reached the ground.

"Ugh… That skeleton bastard!" Irina shouted with frustration.

"Are you okay?" Megan asked, prompting Irina to look at her and blush slightly, as she hadn't realized she had been caught by the brunette.

*Ahem* "I'm fine… Nothing but a scratch," Irina replied after standing up. However, her face was covered entirely with the blood trailing down her head.

"That skeleton is a real problem, huh? What are we dealing with here?" Megan pondered.

"His forbidden spells are too powerful. I have nothing that can counter them…" Irina replied, looking back at Megan and scanning her surroundings.

"Wait, are you done with the other Death Knight!?" The vampire asked, surprised that the brunette had caught up with them.

"It wasn't easy…" Megan replied.

Irina, who was a big admirer of extremely strong women, couldn't help but feel inspired by the brunette.

The sentinel wasn't sure that she could defeat one of those Death Knights alone, but together with Megan and Lindsey, she was sure they had a good chance at defeating the skeleton.

"Let's go regroup with Lindsey," Megan said, and the badmouthed vampire followed her orders without question.
