Chapter 218: 218、Not Becoming a Monk Could Become a Nun (3)_1
Quan Jingwu gave him a glance, a deep light flashed in his eyes. It varied from person to person, huh.
Han Yue both barely held back their laughter, greeting Jian Luo.
“Jian Luo, I am Jingwu’s second elder brother,” said Quan Mingxuan.
Jian Luo answered with a non-smiling smile, “Is that so? For some reason, I find you more personable than some people here.”
Mingxuan almost couldn’t suppress his laughter. Oh, this future brother-in-law of Jingwu was just his cup of tea.
“Sweetie, I have something to discuss with you.” Quan Jingwu disregarded the mischief in Han Yue’s eyes and led Jian Qing upstairs.
However, the future brother-in-law was present; it wouldn’t be so easy to take her away.
“Wait a minute.”
Jian Qing stopped in her tracks, looking back at Jian Luo who pulled at her sleeve, “Luoluo.”
“Whatever it is, just say it here.” Jian Luo said with a defensive look at Quan Jingwu.
Han Yue and Quan Mingxuan crossed their arms, their faces filled with anticipation of any ensuing drama.
“Luoluo, they both also like racing, you can chat with them first, I will be back soon.” Jian Qing spoke softly.
Jian Luo opened his mouth, just about to say something when Jian Qing’s next words caught him off guard.
“I recall you had a whole box of ice cream this afternoon, if you’d…”
Jian Luo’s expression changed slightly, the next second, he let go of her.
“You resort to this every time.” He complained. 𝚗ov𝚙𝚞𝚋.c𝚘m
Watching Quan Jingwu abscond with his sister, Jian Luo irritably ruffled his chestnut-coloured hair.
“Jian Luo, don’t worry, your sister will be back soon, come over and chat with us.” Han Yue directed with a grin, calling him from the sofa.
Jian Luo agreed and walked over, just as he settled down, Mingxuan asked, “Jian Luo, do you also race cars?”
“Hmm.” Jian Luo nodded.
“Jian Luo, we have a racetrack in our team, if you have the time, we should race.” Han Yue invited.
With a shake of his head, Jian Luo said, “On this, I can’t give you an immediate answer. You need to persuade my sister, and I am always at your disposal.”
Mingxuan asked curiously, “Your sister doesn’t let you?”
“Yes.” Jian Luo nodded, “I once raced at high speed and accidentally got a bit hurt, so my sister generally forbids me to do so.”
“By the way, Jian Luo, do you also know Zero?” Han Yue’s thoughts were running ahead.
“Also?” A trace of confusion appeared in Jian Luo’s eyes.
“When your sister went with us to A City, she happened to encounter a car race there and met Daniel. Your sister knows Zero, you should too, shouldn’t you?” Han Yue asked.
Jian Luo smiled blandly, “Yes, I do.”
“So, what has he been busy with these past two years? Why haven’t seen him racing?” Han Yue was still curious since they hadn’t gotten any useful information from Jian Qing last time.
“Well…” Jian Luo chuckled cunningly, “he’s been busy chasing women.”
Han Yue,”…”
What could he say?
Why are these siblings so tight-lipped?
Upstairs, in the bedroom
The moment the door closed, and noticing him lock it with such comfort, Jian Qing was tempted to dart out of the room.
“Xiaojing, why are you locking the door?”
“It’s easier to discuss things when we’re locked inside.” He spun around and walked over to her.
Jian Qing, “…”
Forgive her for hearing something lewd from his sentence.
Jingwu halted his steps and drew her into his arms.
“What? Wasn’t there something you wanted to say to me?” Jian Qing looked up at him with a thin smile.
“How about staying at my place tonight?” Quan Jingwu got straight to the point, his voice deep.
Jian Qing gave him a hard look, “In your dreams. Speaking of this, I have something to tell you.”
If she left Luoluo alone here to stay with him at night, Luoluo might go so far as to set this house on fire.
“You might as well go back to your own house and stay there tonight.”
“Repeat that, sweetie.” Quan Jingwu’s eyes glinted, his magnetic voice taking on a threatening undertone.
“I…” Jian Qing suddenly felt a shiver down her spine, swallowing her words immediately.
Jingwu wouldn’t easily compromise where his own benefits were concerned.
Propping up her chin with his fingers, he forced her to meet his gaze. “Sweetie, are you going to abandon me for your brother?”
Jian Qing gripped his hands, “I didn’t mean that. It’s just that Luoluo is living here.”
“So, because he’s here, I have to leave, right?” Quan Jingwu cut her off, a cold gleam flitting across his eyes.
Jian Qing wanted to slam her head against a block of tofu (a prominent Chinese idiom to showcase frustration),”No, forget it, forget it, you can stay here.”
Luoluo knew he was living here anyway; it didn’t make much of a difference.
Upon her response, Quan Jingwu’s cold expression softened a fraction. His eyes darkened as he swept her up in his arms.
“Xiaojing!”
Caught off guard, she yelped with surprise, her arms instinctively encircled his neck.
Jingwu raised an eyebrow, carrying her straight to the big bed.
Placing her by the edge of the bed, Jian Qing immediately tried to retreat to the foot of the bed.
Luoluo and Han Yue were still downstairs. If Luoluo came up, it would be a whole different story.
“Am I that terrifying?” Jingwu looked down at her, his deep purple eyes suddenly indebted with profound melancholy.
Jian Qing beamed, “What do you think?”
An old saying in Chinese: The bed is definitely not a place to discuss things.
While discussing, it would unexpectedly set ablaze.
“Sweetie, come here!” His voice was husky.
Jian Qing continuously shook her head, agilely she jumped off the bed.
She was not stupid, she knew what would happen if she went over there.
“Xiaojing, it’s getting late and Han Yue is still downstairs.” Jian Qing hinted. “It is also time to have dinner.”
With that, she swiftly headed for the door.
“What’s the hurry?” Quan Jingwu’s long legs took just a few strides as he hooked her back into his arms.
Jian Qing, “…”
“Give me a kiss, then I’ll let you go downstairs.” He said, leaning in close to her face.
A gleam twitched inside her eyes, “Xiaojing, actually there is worse news. Luoluo knows that we are living together, but he doesn’t know we are living in the same room so, it’s the best if you stay in the next room for a while.”
Upon hearing this, his face turned icy.
“Then I’ll tell him.”
If they couldn’t stay in the same room, he wouldn’t even be able to get a sip of the chicken soup.
“No way.” Jian Qing gave a sharp response.
His eyes darkened as he leaned in, his lips only skin away from her ear, “Sweetie, I don’t want to live like a monk!”
Catching his sentiment, Jian Qing’s face turned red; she glared at him hard, “You can consider becoming a nun instead.”
Every other sentence was nonsensical, so the day was practically wasted.
Jingwu’s low laughter filled the room as he softly pinched her cheek, “Sweetie, if you’re willing to help me get over it, I might consider it.”
“Help you?” A hint of confusion streaked across Jian Qing’s face. “Help you how?”
“What do you think.” He gestured to the big bed not too far away, speaking with a suggestive tone.
Jian Qing followed his line of sight, and her temples started to throb. She lifted her foot and stomped on his, then broke free from his arms. “I think that finishing you off will probably be quicker.” she spat.
With that, she yanked open the door. Her footsteps hinted at a barely concealed urgency as she left without a backward glance.
Jingwu’s eyebrows subtly rose as he leisurely followed behind her.
