Chapter 217: 217, Grandfather Jing Crosses Paths with the Younger Uncle (2)_1

Chapter 217: 217, Grandfather Jing Crosses Paths with the Younger Uncle (2)_1

After hanging up the phone, he turned his head towards the person at the back seat and wailed, “Jingwu, next time you deal with family matters like this yourself, otherwise people might mistake Jian Qing for my girlfriend.”

Before he could finish speaking, a cold glare was thrown at him.

“Alright, alright, I get it, Jian Qing is your girlfriend, yours.” Quan Jingwu raised his hands in surrender, he’d really been defeated. He couldn’t even make a single comment.

Han Yue was driving and laughing wickedly.

“Just drive the car and quit laughing.”

Using the excuse that he was driving, Quan Mingxuan gave him a good knock on the head.

“What the hell, are you trying to murder me? I’m driving!” Han Yue retorted.

“Sorry, my hand slipped!” Quan Mingxuan withdrew his hand, grinning.

What could he possibly say to that?

Karma?

Han Yue took a deep breath, he could not retaliate.

Jian Luo and Jian Qing, unaware that Quan Jingwu and the others were on their way back, were engaged in a ruthless video game battle. 𝔫𝖔𝖛𝖕𝖚𝔟.𝖈𝖔𝔪

“No more games for me,” Jian Luo dropped the game controller, the screen showing a record of his losses.

Jian Qing, still holding the game controller, exited the gaming interface, and turned off the television.

“Luoluo, having such little patience won’t help.” She looked at him tending the snowball and chuckled softly.

Jian Luo grumbled, “I won’t play with you next time, I always lose. It’s so boring.”

After an afternoon, Snowball had made peace with Jian Luo and was now lying next to him, allowing him to pet its fur.

Jian Qing shook her head and laughed lightly. Just as she was about to say something, a “beep” sound came from the door.

Jian Luo’s ears perked up, and he immediately moved beside Jian Qing, grabbing her hand, preventing her from standing up.

“Luoluo!” Jian Qing chuckled helplessly.

The front door opened and Quan Jingwu along with two others walked in.

The atmosphere was somewhat awkward when they saw the two people sitting on the carpet.

Transfixed in silence, the three newcomers just stared towards the two on the floor.

Quan Mingxuan and Han Yue sent incredulous looks towards the man seated so closely to Jian Qing.

Upon taking off his sunglasses, the man looked quite similar to Jian Qing, especially his eyes, they were strikingly similar.

Having confirmed through eye contact, there was no doubt he was her younger brother.

As they inspected Jian Luo, he was also inspecting them, pausing slightly longer on Quan Jingwu. His gaze scanned closely, inch by inch.

His appearance? Mediocre at best!

Character? Just from him saying “nephew,” it was an absolute fail.

Quan Jingwu couldn’t help feeling irked by the hand resting on his darling’s arm.

His darling was for his eyes only, even a nephew was no exception.

“What are you waiting for? Aren’t you going to come in and sit?” Jian Qing escaped from the heated gaze of a certain individual and awkwardly broke the silence.

Jian Qing, we brought dinner with us too, where should we put it?” Han Yue, carrying the food box, made himself at home and walked in.

“I’ll show you.” Quan Mingxuan grabbed him by the shirt collar, and directed him towards the dining room.

In a moment, only Quan Jingwu and the three others were left in the living room.

Jian Luo stared at Quan Jingwu, a trace of defensiveness in his eyes. Tension spread out in the room.

This stalemate wasn’t solving anything.

Jian Qing looked up at Quan Jingwu and called gently, “Xiaojing!”

Quan Jingwu curved his thin lips and walked over to her.

Upon seeing this, Jian Luo sulkily turned his head.

“Darling!” Looking down at Jian Qing, he extended his hand towards her.

Seeing his fingers spread out towards her, Jian Qing placed her hand into his palm instinctively. At the same moment, her sleeve was pulled down a bit.

“Sis, aren’t you going to introduce me?”

Jian Luo held on to Jian Qing’s other arm, intending to compete with Quan Jingwu.

Darling?

Humph, who gave him the right to address her so closely?

“Luoluo…” Jian Qing grinned helplessly, but before she could finish, she was suddenly yanked forcefully towards him, and the next moment, she was pulled into his firm chest.

Jian Qing lifted her head to meet his deep violet eyes, causing a sharp pain in her temple, “Xiaojing!”

“Did you have lunch on time?” Quan Jingwu glanced sideways at Jian Luo, his deep purple eyes reflected her delicate face.

“Yes.” Jian Qing nodded, when she remembered Jian Luo was next to her, she pushed Quan Jingwu, signaling him to let go. “Xiaojing!”

Seeing his elder sister in someone else’s embrace, Jian Luo immediately stood up and reached out to intervene.

“Let go of my sister!”

Quan Jingwu’s robust arm was firmly wrapped around Jian Qing’s waist, showing no intention to let go. Jian Luo and Quan Jingwu were in a stand-off, with Jian Qing stuck between them.

She pulled Quan Jingwu’s hand off her, ignoring his disappointed eyes, and stepped back from him, but didn’t move towards Jian Luo.

She massaged her temples and finally introduced them, “Xiaojing, this is my younger brother, Jian Luo.”

Quan Jingwu knitted his brows and replied with a nod, “I know, the ‘nephew’ introduced himself on the phone this afternoon.”

Jian Luo’s handsome face turned black, his fists clenched tight, and he had a strong urge to punch Quan Jingwu’s frigid face.

Having overheard the term “nephew”, Jian Qing twitched her eye.

She now had some idea why Luoluo was so upset after the phone call in the afternoon.

“Luoluo, this is Quan Jingwu.” she said.

Jian Luo’s eyes sparkled, he feigned confusion and asked,”Sis, is he your friend?”

What kind of damn “nephew”? He refused to acknowledge that.

The moment he spoke, Jian Qing sensed an intense gaze on her as if someone was about to lose his temper if she nodded her head in agreement.

She thought for a while and coughed lightly, “Luoluo, he’s my boyfriend.”

A single sentence, one was delighted and another was dismayed.

Jian Luo looked displeased, shooting a resentful glance at Quan Jingwu. However, the latter didn’t seem to mind and instead, exuded happiness.

Quan Jingwu’s thin lips curved as he walked towards her, gently rubbed her head and said,

“I brought back some desserts from Qianshi Restaurant, do you want to try some?”

His deep hoarse voice was filled with indulgence that could cause people to sink into his tender sentiments.

Jian Luo watched the hand that was on his elder sister’s head, and felt an urge to rush forward and slap it away.

Jian Qing shook her head, “I’ll eat it later.”

If she left them alone in the room, they’d probably cause an upheaval.

With the atmosphere in the living room slightly relaxed, Quan Mingxuan and the other guy finally came out from the dining room.

Upon seeing the three still standing in the living room, both of them felt a chill run down their spine.

What was happening?

It seemed like there was still tension between the nephew and the new relative!

“Jian Qing, your brother looks a lot like you, no doubt he is your twin.” Han Yue was diffusing the awkward atmosphere with casual conversation.

“Luoluo, this is Han Yue, the other one is Quan Mingxuan.” Jian Qing introduced.

Jian Luo only had a problem with Quan Jingwu, not the others.

“Hello, I am Jian Luo, Jian Qing’s younger brother.” Jian Luo smiled lightly, sounding very pleasant.

His favoritism was rather obvious.
