Chapter 287: 287, Familiarity with Mr. Jing (4)_1
As evening approached, a private plane landed on a vacant lot in front of the manor.
The sunset tinted the roses all over the manor with a beautiful warm hue, creating a dreamy ambiance.
Jian Qing stepped on this familiar soil, her eyes full of satisfaction.
She glanced at the man next to her and softly inquired, “Xiaojing, this is where I live. Isn’t it beautiful?”
Quan Jingwu’s gaze swept over the vast manor, adorned with roses, an epitome of romance. His lips slightly curled into a faint smile, “Very beautiful.”
“Let’s go.” Jian Qing took his hand, leading him towards the manor.
The guards at the entrance of the manor watched the plane land and were on alert. The next moment, they caught sight of the approaching figures and their faces reflected a hint of respect.
“Miss!”
Jian Qing nodded slightly and commanded, “Move the luggage from the plane and put it in the living room.”
“Yes!”
Watching the retreating figures of the two, the guards exchanged puzzled looks, somewhat shocked.
Did they see that right?
The miss, holding hands with a man?
Had they woken up in an alternative world today?
Before Jian Qing and Quan Jingwu could reach the living room, they saw Jian Luo waiting at the door from afar.
“Sis!”
Seing Jian Qing, Jian Luo rushed over.
“Why are you waiting at the door?” Jian Qing smiled gently.
Jian Luo’s mouth twitched into a grin, “Of course to welcome my beautiful sister home!”
Jian Qing, laughing, rapped on his head, “Flattery will get you nowhere!”
Quan Jingwu watched their sibling interaction, a hint of a smirk appearing on his lips.
“Sis, Black Jack and Bai Jue are also here.” Jian Luo said while walking, his glance at Quan Jingwu held a trace of mischief.
No one knew her brother better than Jian Qing. She lightly pinched Quan Jingwu’s palm, smiling mischievously.
Quan Jingwu, his expression tranquil, slightly raised his eyebrows.
The moment they stepped into the living room, three pairs of eyes were immediately drawn to them.
However, they were all focused on Quan Jingwu.
Grandpa Jian, with piercing eyes, scrutinized Quan Jingwu closely. His gaze then shifted downward, noticing him holding his granddaughter’s hand, a slight frown creasing his forehead.
Instantly, he felt like his precious granddaughter, whom he had carefully doted on, had become someone else’s.
Such sensation was utterly unpleasant.
Exceedingly so!
Quan Jingwu, with a cool demeanor, met Grandpa Jian’s gaze head-on, utterly calm and open.
Meanwhile, Bai Jue and Black Jack watched Quan Jingwu with great interest, clearly intending to enjoy the show.
Neither Jian Qing nor Quan Jingwu were easy prey for anyone’s amusement.
Despite the audience present, Jian Qing didn’t let go of Quan Jingwu’s hand.
Holding his hand, Jian Qing led him before Grandpa Jian.
“Grandpa, this is Quan Jingwu, the man I love!”
Love, not just like.
Without a hint of coyness or embarrassment, Jian Qing declared it openly.
Quan Jingwu’s violet eyes deepened, a hint of warmth flickering within them.
Grandpa Jian gently smiled at Jian Qing. But when his gaze fell on Quan Jingwu, the warmth was no longer there.
Quan Jingwu appeared not to notice Grandpa Jian’s subtle displeasure. He casually greeted, “Grandpa!”
Everyone looked at him strangely upon hearing him say that.
Isn’t he getting familiar too quickly?
Grandpa Jian stared at him wide-eyed. Where did this brazen man come from?
When did he allow him to call him grandpa?
How amusing.
Jian Qing chuckled, stifling laughter.
Xiaojing really was unpredictable.
“Grandpa, I’m hungry. Let’s eat first,” Jian Qing let go of Quan Jingwu’s hand, affectionately tucking her arm in Grandpa Jian’s stubbornly.
“We can chat after dinner.”
Upon hearing that she was hungry, Grandpa Jian immediately got up.
“Let’s go, let’s dine. The kitchen cooked many of your favorites,” he said.
With Jian Qing and Grandpa Jian leading the way, Quan Jingwu and the others trailed behind.
Upon entering the dining room, Jian Luo quickly occupied the seat next to Jian Qing, glancing triumphantly at Quan Jingwu.
Quan Jingwu raised his eyes to look at Jian Qing, pulled out a chair, and took a seat across from her.
The table was filled with food, most of which were Jian Qing’s favorites, reflecting Grandpa Jian’s thoughtfulness.
Although he wasn’t sitting next to Jian Qing, Quan Jingwu gracefully served her, despite not eating anything himself.
He picked bones out of fish, peeled shrimp and crab, and ladled soup—ensuring she had everything she needed.
In comparison, Jian Qing seemed royal.
Aside from Jian Luo, it was the first time the other three had witnessed such a scene, watching with puzzled expressions.
Looking at his skillful manner, it was evident that this wasn’t his first time.
And seeing Jian Qing’s relaxed demeanor, it was clear that this was a common occurrence.
Bai Jue casually put a piece of carrot into Jian Qing’s bowl.
“Jian Qing, eat more.”
Jian Qing gave him a surprised glance, utterly speechless.
Had he lost his mind?
He was actually serving her food today?
Moreover, he had dished her a food she could not eat.
Upon seeing this, Jian Luo’s eyes sparkled with amusement.
He bet Quan Jingwu didn’t know that both his sister and he were allergic to carrots.
“She doesn’t eat carrots.” Quan Jingwu’s voice was chilling as he picked the carrot from Jian Qing’s bowl.
Upon hearing this, satisfaction flickered in the eyes of the other three gentlemen. 𝓃𝓸𝓿𝓹𝓾𝓫.𝓬ℴ𝓶
It seemed this man was indeed attentive.
Jian Qing glanced at the three of them, understanding their intentions.
So they were testing Xiaojing.
Through the course of dinner, the trio thoroughly grasped the depth of affection between Quan Jingwu and Jian Qing.
After dinner, everyone moved to the living room.
Upon stepping out, they saw three large suitcases in the living room.
“Jian Qing, these wouldn’t happen to be your luggage, right?” Bai Jue looked at the three enormous suitcases, utterly speechless.
“The two silver suitcases contain gifts for grandpa. The black suitcase contains clothes for Xiaojing and me,” explained Jian Qing.
Grandpa Jian was taken aback. They had brought him gifts?
“Gifts for grandpa?” Jian Luo curiously asked.
Bai Jue chimed in, “May we open them?”
“Sure,” Jian Qing nodded.
While the others were distracted with the gifts, Quan Jingwu pulled Jian Qing to sit beside him.
