Chapter 307: 307, Drunk and Confused (1)_1
Jian Qing took a deep breath. Even though this wasn’t the first time she was seeing this demonically handsome man post-bath, it was still quite a sight to behold.
She had to admit that her little heart needed a lot more conditioning.
Quan Jingwu had just finished showering, bare-chested, his excellent physique hidden from no one. He used a towel to dry his damp hair and then began to approach her, one step at a time.
With every step he took, he seemed to tread on Jian Qing’s heart.
Tsk, he was indeed a calamity too difficult for her to resist.
Always radiating hormones!
“You’re done showering?” She let her eyes wander over his body because as they say, one must appreciate all beautiful things.
“Hmm.” His voice was slight and alluringly hoarse.
Seeing his deep, probing eyes, Jian Qing quickly hid her inadvertent, slight infatuation with a bashful smile.
“Ahem, this wine isn’t half bad.”
Quan Jingwu’s gaze drifted to the wine glass resting in her hand. His thin lips curved into a smirk that was quite enigmatic.
“Did you mix it?” Jian Qing asked, shaking the wine in her glass with curiosity.
It felt like a mix between a cocktail and fruit wine.
“Hmm, do you like it?”
Fool, you shouldn’t shake this glass of wine so aimlessly.
The more you shake it, the stronger the alcohol concentration will become.
But Jingwu smartly chose to keep this secret to himself.
Jian Qing nodded and took another sip, only to find the taste had gotten richer and more flavourful.
Before she knew it, she had drained half the glass.
Quan Jingwu watched on with a conspicuous gleam in his eyes, reached out, and took her wine glass.
He wondered who to turn to if she ended up drinking too much and falling asleep.
“Xiaojing, what are you doing?”
Her glass was snatched away, and she shot an unhappy glance at him. It made his heart skip a beat.
Perhaps it was the wine, but her ordinarily fair cheeks were tinged a rosy pink. Her plump, soft lips looked captivatingly vibrant, making it nearly impossible for anyone not to steal a kiss.
Quan Jingwu discarded the towel in his hand, strode over, and firmly held her tiny waist.
He leaned in closer, their breaths intertwining. “So, you really enjoy drinking?”
“Hmm, it’s delicious.” She gently nodded, her words carrying a faint whiff of wine as she spoke.
“Stealing my wine like this, how do you think I should punish you?” He whispered hoarsely in her ear.
Jian Qing shot back a challenging smile. “Steal? This young miss was drinking openly and freely. Besides, didn’t you say what’s yours is mine?”
Even though she was a bit tipsy, her logic seemed unimpeded.
“Indeed, you are also mine.” Her reply was bold and assertive.
Caught by her words, he found himself irresistibly drawn towards her.
His voice was a deep, rich baritone, “Hmm, I too am yours.”
Quite pleased, Jian Qing quickly pecked his lips, creating a popping sound before breaking away.
Quan Jingwu’s eyes flickered, his gaze falling on the woman nestled in his arms. His gaze got a lot deeper.
Was she…drunk? 𝚗ov𝚙𝚞𝚋.c𝚘m
“Darling, do you think your husband looks good?”
“Nope.” She grinned with a somewhat tipsy innocence.
“Then who, according to you, is good-looking?” His voice was magnetic and undeniably seductive.
With a uarious twinkle in her eyes, she whispered gently, “Xiaojing, my Xiaojing is the best looking in the world.”
At her words, he chuckled softly.
Her Xiaojing!
The sentiment was indeed pleasing.
“Darling, are you truly drunk or just pretending?” He was watching her closely, his face just inches away.
She was quite different tonight compared to the last time she got drunk at the villa. The drink he mixed for her personally tonight had a much higher alcohol concentration than the fruit wine they had at the villa. So, was this altered state of drunk her also a result of that?
Even though she appeared lucid, she was actually quite drunk already.
“Why don’t you take a guess?” She tilted her chin up, her eyes playful.
He held her hand and gave it a peck. “I can’t guess it.”
“Well, why don’t you find out then?”
Jian Qing’s eyes danced playfully, her hand curled into a fist and quickly launched towards Quan Jingwu.
She didn’t hold back, her punch was hard and swift.
A punch like that was definitely going to do more than just cause stars.
Right before her fist could land on the man’s face, he quickly dodged.
His large, calloused hand caught her fist and then she felt a sense of dizziness. Before she knew it, her back was against a cold wall. He held her hand in one of his and propped the other against the wall, effectively trapping her in front of him.
Damn it, his reaction was too quick!
“Darling, were you trying to murder me?” Quan Jingwu leaned in closer.
Jian Qing laughed impishly and played dumb, “Did I?”
“What do you think?”
As he spoke, he leaned in till his face was almost touching hers, his thin, red lips right towards her.
Having been pinned like this many times before, Jian Qing now had a good strategy.
She quickly lifted her free hand to cover her mouth.
Quan Jingwu’s eyebrows furrowed as he lowered his gaze to look at her.
She met his purple eyes without any fear, raising an eyebrow, “Let’s hear the terms.”
“Hmm?” A spark of interest flitted across his eyes.
Jian Qing pulled her hand free from his grip and wrapped both her hands around his neck.
Quan Jingwu relaxed and stared at her, waiting for her next move.
The next second, she got onto her tiptoes, lightly jumped, and hung onto him.
He placed a hand behind her to prevent her from falling.
Looked like the wine was kicking in sooner than expected, and she seemed clueless about it.
“Little Jingzi, be sure to hold me properly.”
The woman’s sultry voice teased him, her slender fingers caressing his lips, stirring up his deepest desires.
Quan Jingwu’s gaze darkened, “Stop making up names, or else.”
Why wouldn’t she simply call him ‘darling’? She preferred these random, outrageous names.
She really needed a bit of discipline.
“You’re the one lecturing me.” She retorted.
Someone who’s drunk is always irrational.
She pursed her lips, accusing him of being mean.
“I won’t let you hold on to me anymore, let go.” She pronounced, trying to jump out of his arms.
