Chapter 310: 310, No Mood (4)_1

Black Jack looked in the direction of the sound, and there was Bai Jue, playing the ultimate third wheel.

Bai Jue crossed his arms and slowly walked over.

“You two are enjoying this without me, that doesn’t seem very fair.”

Jian Luo who was leaning against a wheelchair, smiled slyly, “You don’t even like chocolate, so why are you butting in?”

“Tsk, Jian Luo, how ungrateful of you. I’ve been working my ass off to develop your antidote, and you can’t even share a tasty treat,” Bai Jue pretended to be upset.

Black Jack stretched out his long leg and gave him a swift kick.

“Why did you kick me? If I got a handicap, you’d have to take responsibility,” Bai Jue grumbled irritably.

Everyone is so ungrateful to their benefactors, didn’t he make an effort too?

“I’ll take responsibility by crippling your other leg.” Black Jack answered, his face expressionless.

“Hahaha!” Jian Luo burst out laughing.

“…”

Forget it, he’d be the bigger person and not stoop down to their level.

“Grinning like an idiot. Time to take your medicine.”

Jian Luo grimaced and turned his head toward Black Jack, complaining, “Black Jack, he said I look like a fool.”

Bai Jue, “…”

Holy shit, these two were planning to bully him together weren’t they?

How could they lack a conscience like this?

Black Jack glanced at Bai Jue and snorted, “We’ll square it at the boxing gym once you’re healed.”

Jian Luo was satisfied with this, while Bai Jue felt aggrieved.

This was a little too biased, wasn’t it?

“Grandpa!” Jian Luo watched as a car drove into the manor, and saw grandpa stepping out.

His grandpa walked over steadily with a kind smile all over his face.

“Why are you out here? Have you taken your medication yet?”

Jian Luo nodded with a smile, “Just thought I could sunbathe a bit. Feel like I’m about to get moldy staying in the room all the time.”

“That’s true; some sunbathing is good; it makes you more spirited.” His grandpa chuckled, patting Luo’s head tenderly.

“It’s almost time for your medicine.” Bai Jue reminded him.

Jian Luo nodded again. Black Jack and old man Jian exchanged greetings, and then he wheeled Jian Luo back to the room, with Bai Jue leisurely following behind.

Seeing their retreating backs, grandpa’s eyes sparkled with a hint of confusion.

“Aqin, don’t you feel that Luo Luo and Black Jack are acting a little weird?”

Although Luo Luo and Black Jack had always been like this since childhood, he had a feeling that something has been off about their recent behavior.

Aqin chuckled, “Old Sir, Young Master Luo and Black Jack have been playmates since they were children. Over the many years, their friendship has become more like family. There’s nothing strange about it.”

Grandpa frowned, was he overthinking this?

Days went by, and Jian Qing and Quan Jingwu had unknowingly spent more than two weeks in M Country.

Jian Luo’s wounds were already removing their sutures, and thanks to Bai Jue, the wounds were almost healed.

“Sis, are you guys going back to Beijing tomorrow?”

Jian Qing lightly nodded her head, “Mm.”

“Jian Luo, are you going with them?” Bai Jue glanced at Black Jack and asked.

Black Jack’s hand which was at his side tightened slightly, waiting for his answer.

Jian Luo bit his lip, and cautiously glanced at Black Jack out of the corner of his eye, not knowing how to answer.

Jian Qing cleared her throat, “Luo Luo, you’re still recovering from your injuries, best stay at the manor for a few more days and head to Beijing later.”

Jian Luo hummed out, “Okay.”

Black Jack lowered his eyes slightly, concealing a fleeting smile at the bottom of his eyes.

“Okay, it’s getting late. Everyone should go rest.” Jian Qing glanced at the clock and discovered it was already past ten.

Quan Jingwu stood up, taking her hand and they went upstairs together.

“Then, I’ll get going too.” Bai Jue got up yawning and stretching, and left the room.

In the blink of an eye, only Jian Luo and Black Jack were left in the living room.

The atmosphere turned awkward in a moment. Jian Luo scratched his reddish-brown hair, looking for an excuse to flee to his room.

“Are you trying to avoid me?”

Black Jack’s voice came from beside him.

Jian Luo laughed awkwardly, “Of course not.”

Black Jack didn’t press him on the issue. He got up and pulled him up from the wheelchair.

“Let’s go, I’ll walk you back to your room.”

Big hand slid down effortlessly, naturally holding onto his slender hand.

Jian Luo stiffened, his gaze falling on their hands.

“You…”

Black Jack casually held a smile, “Didn’t we always do this when we were younger?”

“…”

But like he said, that was when they were young – they’re grown men now. What if someone saw them?

Not allowing him a moment to think, Black Jack took him by the hand and led him upstairs.

Looking at his face in profile, Jian Luo forgets to resist.

This feeling, it doesn’t seem like he hate it.

A sliver of joy seemed to rise from within.

Not until they reached the doorway did Jian Luo came back to his senses..

“Rest early.”

Black Jack mussed his hair gently, speaking softly.

Jian Luo bit his lower lip and nodded.

After shutting the door, Jian Luo leaned against the door, as if the warmth from his hand still lingered on top of his head.

Lowering his eyes to the hand he’d been holding, a faint curve appeared at the corner of his lips.

In Jian Qing’s room

Jian Qing was sitting on the bed, watching the man pack their luggage.

When she saw what fell out from the suitcase, she felt a jolt of surprise.

Why was it this thing again?

She reached out and picked up the small package.

No wonder she always felt like she’d forgotten something, so it was this thing.

“Xiaojing, did you bring this back from Beijing?”

So this guy actually carries this thing with him everywhere?

Quan Jingwu put the clothes in the suitcase, looked up, and when he saw what she was holding, his lips curved into a slight smirk.

“Yeah.”

Jian Qing leaned backwards onto the bed.

She was speechless.

She bolted upright and threw a pillow at him, “Quan Jingwu, can you not bring these out every time we travel.”

Obviously, he’s carrying more than one or two boxes with him. He’s been using so many these past few days with no restraint.

Quan Jingwu caught the pillow easily and tossed it aside. He stopped packing and sauntered over to her.

“What are you doing? Hurry up and finish packing.”

Seeing him coming over, Jian Qing subconsciously scooted back.

Quan Jingwu bent over, propping his arms on both sides of her, looking into her eyes, “Sweetheart, there’s only half a box left, why don’t you accompany me to finish it tonight, hmm?”

His seductive voice touched her heartstrings.

Jian Qing’s face darkened, she gritted her teeth and said, “My waist hurts, I’m not in the mood.”
