Chapter 383: 369, please go check on the Master (3) _1

Ning Feng hung up the phone, casting a look at the two and said, “The security guards will be here soon. If you don’t want to embarrass yourselves, you’d better leave now.”

An Rong seemed to have thought of something, staring desperately at Ning Feng. “Did my big brother set people up to target our Yang Group?”

Ning Feng raised his eyebrows and replied, “My master hasn’t left his room these few days, he doesn’t have time for such things.”

It seems that what goes around comes around, their master hasn’t made a move, yet someone has beat him to it.

“You’re lying,” An Rong said incredulously, “if it’s not my big brother who did it, who else would do such a thing at this critical moment?”

Ning Feng sneered coldly, “I’ve told you, if you don’t believe me, then you might as well stop asking. Instead of making a fuss here, you should figure out who you’ve offended.”

Indeed, one cannot always trust genes. Born from the same parents, how did his master end up with such a foolish sister?

It’s really beyond comprehension.

An Rong’s face changed, looking at him half-believing, half-incredulous.

Meanwhile, the security guards had arrived.

“These are the two.” Ning Feng pointed slightly at Zhou Qi and the other.

“Excuse me, you are not residents here, could you please leave with us?” One of the security guards said.

“Mom, let’s leave,” An Rong glanced at the burly security guards and tugged at Zhou Qi’s clothes.

“If things get blown out of proportion and dad finds out, he’s definitely going to be upset again.”

They were only able to enter here under the pretext of visiting someone else’s home, otherwise, it wouldn’t be easy to get in.

Zhou Qi’s gaze brushed past Ning Feng to glimpse inside the house, a mix of unwillingness and anger flashing across her face.

“Let’s go.”

She descended the steps, pushing the security guard blocking her path.

An Rong swiftly followed behind, clutching her bag.

Ning Feng flashed a polite smile at the security guards, “Please follow them and make sure they leave Shijin Haoting.”

“Of course.” Said the security guard.

Ning Feng nodded and closed the door.

Turning around, he saw Xing Sen coming down the stairs.

“How is it?”

Xing Sen shook his head, looking helplessly at the tray in his hands.

“He didn’t touch a thing.” He said.

Ning Feng frowned, “He can’t keep this up, he hasn’t eaten anything for three days, and if he continues to drown himself in alcohol like this, something will go wrong.”

Ever since the incident at Shijin Haoting, Mo Xiao has locked himself in his room, numbing himself with alcohol day and night.

Xing Sen placed the tray on the table, sighing, “What should we do now? Our master won’t listen to our advice.”

Their master is in a half-drunk, half-awake state, clinging to the photos sent by Elder An, the family photos of Jian Wei and her children.

Ning Feng rubbed his temples, and suddenly his eyes lit up, “There’s one person whose words our master will definitely listen to.”

Xing Sen faltered, “You mean Jian Qing?”

“Exactly.” He snapped his fingers and said, “Right now, only Jian Qing and her brother can make our master snap out of his state.”

They couldn’t find Jian Luo right now, the only hope left was Jian Qing.

“But, will she be willing to come?” Xing Sen asked, unsure.

For so many days, Jian Qing hadn’t shown up in front of them once.

“No matter what, even if we have to beg, we must bring her here.” Ning Feng said.

Xing Sen nodded, “I’ll go right now.”

With that, he rushed out in a hurry.

“Wait a minute.” Ning Feng stopped him, shooting him a look, “Where are you going to find her? I saw Jian Qing leaving with Quan Jingwu this morning, she won’t be home if you go now.”

Xing Sen paused, “So, when should I go?”

“Tonight.” Ning Feng rubbed his chin thoughtfully, his gaze falling on the untouched food on the table.

By evening,

A Rolls Royce Phantom entered Shijin Haoting. Jian Qing looked out the window to see the once verdant trees were now withering.

She lowered the window and stretched out her hand.

The cool breeze brushed across her palm, causing her fingers to curl instinctively.

“Xiaojing, it’s almost winter.” She murmured.

Quan Jingwu pulled over the car and said, “Winter is coming, so we’re having hotpot tonight.”

Jian Qing smiled and got out of the car.

For the past few days, he had been allowing her to eat snacks and hotpot to cheer her up.

He was always like this, domineering yet considerate.

“Miss Jian Qing!”

No sooner had the two of them gotten out of the car than a voice called out to her.

Jian Qing looked up. It was Ning Feng.

Seeing him, Jian Qing couldn’t help but think of Mo Xiao, the scene of him vomiting blood that day replayed in her mind.

She knew Mo Xiao lived in Shijin Haoting, but she didn’t expect Ning Feng would come to find her.

“Miss Jian Qing, I have a favor to ask of you.” Ning Feng approached, speaking softly.

Jian Qing was silent, looking at him coolly.

“I beg you to come and see our master, please.” Ning Feng bowed deeply, his tone sincere.

Recalling the time he had spoken up for her when she scolded Yang Xiang, Jian Qing finally said, “You should go back.”

She took hold of Quan Jingwu and walked around him, heading for the steps.

“Miss Jian Qing, our master has not had anything to eat or drink for days, he has locked himself in his room, and is drinking excessively. If he continues like this, he won’t be able to take it anymore.” Ning Feng yelled at her retreating figure.

He was gambling, gambling that Jian Qing still had a bit of sympathy for Mo Xiao.

After all, you can’t break the bond of blood kinship.

Jian Qing paused in her steps, her hands tightly gripping Quan Jingwu’s.

Her eyes dimmed, a complex emotion flashed across them.

“Baby, let’s go take a look.” Quan Jingwu said in a deep voice.

Jian Qing looked up at him, biting her lip, “Should I go?”

He quirked his lips, leaning down so his mouth was close to her ear, “If you want to go, we’ll go. Don’t feel pressured, we’ll just go take a look and then come back, okay?”

His magnetic voice, inflected slightly upward at the end, revealed a charming huskiness.

Jian Qing nodded, making up her mind.

She turned around, and Ning Feng was elated.

“I’ll show you the way.”

Thank goodness he decided to stake out here, otherwise, he would have regretted it tremendously.

They didn’t take the car, with Ning Feng leading the way on foot.

After about twenty minutes, they finally arrived.

Ning Feng stepped forward, opening the door.

“Miss Jian Qing, please.”

Jian Qing looked at the open door, her steps faltering.

“Let’s go in.”

Quan Jingwu held her hand, leading her inside.

Seeing this, Ning Feng immediately warmed up to Quan Jingwu.

Not bad, this future son-in-law is pretty capable.

Hearing the commotion, Xing Sen emerged from the kitchen.

Seeing Jian Qing and Quan Jingwu, a hint of surprise crossed his impassive face.

No way, had Ning Feng really brought her?
