Chapter 456: 442, Same Father-in-law (3)_1

“That’s all, you can leave now,” said Mo Xiao forcefully, “Don’t come here again in the future if there’s nothing important.”

“Azhe, no matter how many mistakes a mother like me made, after all, I am the one who gave birth and raised you. You can’t treat me like this for just one woman,” Zhou Qi wiped her tears, choking on her words.

Beside her, Ning Feng and Xing Sen watched Zhou Qi’s tearful face, not showing a trace of sympathy.

Sympathy, after all, shouldn’t be given away recklessly.

It has to be given to the right person.

Mo Xiao looked at her with a cold stare, “If you were not my mother, do you think you could still be standing here right now?”

Confronted with the coldness in his eyes, Zhou Qi’s heart trembled.

“I…” she started.

“Xing Sen, move the luggage to the car,” he commanded.

“Yes.”

“Azhe, where are you going?” Zhou Qi watched as Xing Sen carried the suitcase, clutching his arm anxiously, “Tell me, where are you going?”

Mo Xiao brushed her hand away and stepped down the stairs, “As I said, don’t show up in front of me anymore.”

“Azhe, don’t leave. I admit that Jian Luo is part of our Jian family. I accept him as your son. Please forgive your mom just this once, okay?” Zhou Qi ran after him, pleading earnestly.

Mo Xiao paused, leading Zhou Qi to mistakenly think that her words had moved him, a smile of relief appeared on her face.

“Azhe, I…” she started again.

Mo Xiao turned around, his cold eyes shot her a glance like sharpened swords, “Luoluo is my son, Qingqing is my precious daughter, my pearl. Whether you acknowledge them or not is of no importance. Because we three will no longer be a part of the family you speak of.”

With that, he got into the car without looking back.

“Let’s go,” he said.

The car door was slammed shut.

Zhou Qi looked at the car disappearing into the distance, her mind still reeling from the shock.

“Madam, it’s cold outside, why don’t we go back inside?” the servant suggested.

Zhou Qi swallowed her rage and gritted her teeth, “Let’s go.”

She regretted raising him, her own son, all these years.

She had personally come here during the harsh winter, pleading him so humbly. Yet, he showed no signs of sympathy.

The servant didn’t dare to say a word, and helped her leave.

On the plane, Jian Qing snuggled in Quan Jingwu’s arms, her adorable sleepy face making him chuckle.

He reached for his coat, draped it over her and gently patted her, “If you’re tired, take a nap.”

“Hmm—” Jian Qing snuggled deeper into his embrace, perhaps his arms were just too comforting. In just a few moments, she fell asleep.

Mo Xiao and Jian Luo saw that Jian Qing had fallen asleep, they picked a sofa further away and started chatting quietly.

“Don’t you know that it’s unethical to disturb someone’s sleep?” Bai Jue said, hair all messed up, glaring indignantly at the uninvited guest in his living room.

Why was it that every time he tried to nap, he would be interrupted?

Ignoring his anger, Black Jack calmly took a bottle of wine from the wine cabinet, along with two wine glasses.

Seeing the wine in his hand, Bai Jue instantly woke up.

He jumped off the sofa, didn’t bother with shoes, barefooted, he dashed to Black Jack, reaching out to grab the wine bottle from his hand.

“You can’t open this, give it back to me.”

Black Jack dodged, the mischievous smirk playing at the corners of his lips, “Why so stingy, it’s just a bottle of wine.”

“…”

Stingy, him?

There were so many bottles of wine in the cabinet and he just had to choose that one.”

He was obviously doing this on purpose.

Bai Jue retorted, “What’s wrong with being stingy? You, get another bottle.”

“I just like this one,” Black Jack maneuvered past him, heading towards the sofa.

Bai Jue was annoyed, if he knew, he would never have let him in.

He was just too kind-hearted.

Retreating back a few steps, he glared at the figure sitting across him, “Black Jack, aren’t you too idle? What are you doing here instead of staying in your fortress at Y Country?”

Watching his beloved collection being opened, Bai Jue made a face, his expression pained.

Black Jack poured two glasses of wine, pushing one towards Bai Jue.

“This is quite a good wine,” he remarked.

He picked up his glass, swirled it lightly, as the rich aroma of the wine permeated the air.

Reaching for his glass, Bai Jue threw him a cold glance.

“You don’t say.”

This wine, which he went through great lengths to acquire, hadn’t even had the time to age before it got opened.

Leaning back, Black Jack savored his drink.

“What exactly are you doing here?” Bai Jue asked, lounging on the sofa, legs stretched out on the table.

“You didn’t fight with Jian Luo, did you?”

So, he came here to vent his frustration?

Black Jack hummed, “Shut your crow’s mouth.”

“Then, Count, what brings you here?” He asked, sporting a fake smile.

Black Jack finished his drink in one gulp and finally said, “Luo Xiaobai is returning to M Country.”

“Isn’t that great? It’ll ease your lovesickness,” Bai Jue joked.

“His father is also coming,” Black Jack sighed.

Bai Jue blinked in surprise, then burst out laughing.

“Hahaha!”

Wow, so even the Count has something he’s afraid of.

Your future father-in-law is coming and you’re scared, huh?

Black Jack glared at him, “Bai Jue, enough is enough, got it?”

“Sorry, but it’s too funny,” Bai Jue held his stomach, laughing so hard that tears were streaming down his face.

“Black Jack, your future father-in-law is coming, and instead of going to greet him, you come here. What for?”

Black Jack grabbed a throw pillow and aimed it at his bright and elegantly handsome face, “Go to hell.”

Bai Jue effortlessly caught the pillow and tossed it aside.

“I heard that Jian Luo’s father is Mo Xiao. It won’t be easy to win him over,” Bai Jue said.

More importantly, regarding Black Jack as his “daughter-in-law”, Mo Xiao might find that even harder to accept. He might even chase him away right on the spot.

Maybe Jian Qing could accept it, but for Mr. Jian and Mo Xiao, it would be super difficult.

Black Jack put down his wine glass, massaged the bridge of his nose and said, “Go with me to the manor tomorrow.”

“Go with you?” asked Bai Jue incredulously, and then grimaced, “He’s not my future father-in-law, so why should I go? I’m not going, I need to catch some sleep.”

“No, you have to go,” said Black Jack.

If he didn’t go to provide a distraction, when would he find the time to be alone with Luo Xiaobai?

Bai Jue stood his ground, “No.”

“Name your price.”

“Deal.”

That’s what he was waiting for.

“Actually, you should go and seek advice from Quan Jingwu. After all, you both share the same future father-in-law,” he said teasingly.

Black Jack, “Can you be quiet now?”

Bai Jue huffed.

Cast aside after serving his purpose.

When they arrived at the manor, it was already afternoon.

The cold wind howled, causing the roses in the manor to wither considerably.

Looking at the vast manor in front of him, Mo Xiao felt a barrage of emotions.

This was where his Weiwei lived, a place he had never been before.

He had been in M Country all these years and didn’t realize he had been so close to her, clueless while looking for her around the world.
