Chapter 458: 444, Dressed Like This Intentionally for Me to See (2)_1
Jian Qing curled her lip, “Consider it a belated birthday gift.”
She had to purposely seek out Old Master An for these two items, otherwise it would really be tough to procure.
“Sis, did you steal the household registration book?” Jian Luo appeared stunned as he gazed at the two little red books. Had his sister really gone and stolen Grandpa’s household registration book?
Jian Qing rolled her eyes at him, “Am I that kind of person?”
Jian Luo almost nodded, but meeting her threatening gaze, he quickly shook his head instead.
“Dad, if you don’t like this, then I’ll take it back.” She pretended to take back the present.
Seeing this, Mo Xiao hurriedly reached out to grab it.
How could he not want this gift?
It was something he yearned for for many years, so how could he possibly not want it?
Jian Qing, seeing his childlike reaction, couldn’t help but laugh.
Mo Xiao opened the little red book, and Jian Luo also leaned over to look.
In the little red book, the pictures of Mo Xiao and Jian Wei stood out prominently. Even though they were photoshopped by Jian Qing, one couldn’t tell at all.
Mo Xiao stared at the little red book, grinning foolishly.
“Sis, you’re awesome.” Jian Luo gave a thumbs-up, exclaiming.
Even pulling off a feat like creating this little red book, now there’s no dispute about their relationship.
Jian Qing coolly accepted his praise, looked at Mo Xiao and said, “Dad, this room is full of traces of Mommy’s life. Grandpa has already accepted you in his heart.”
Saying that, she patted his shoulder and turned to walk out.
Jian Luo glanced at Mo Xiao and followed suit, giving him some space.
Mo Xiao stared at the little red book in his hand, holding it tightly to his chest.
Weiwei, you have finally become my bride!
…
The next day, Black Jack and Bai Jue arrived.
As they walked into the living room, they found Old Master Jian and Mo Xiao playing chess.
“Hello Grandpa Jian!” Bai Jue greeted with a wide smile.
“Why are you two up so early?” Old Master Jian looked at them, smiling kindly.
“We heard that Jian Qing is back, so we came to visit.” Bai Jue replied, although his eyes were observing Mo Xiao the entire time.
Hmm, he does look a lot like Jian Luo.
After giving a nod to Old Master Jian, Black Jack turned to Mo Xiao and greets respectfully, “Uncle.”
“Hello Uncle, I am Bai Jue, and this is Black Jack. We are long-time friends of Jian Qing and Jian Luo.” Bai Jue continued, feeling rather comfortable.
“Nice to meet you.” Mo Xiao rewarded them with a faint smile.
“By the way, where are Jian Qing and Jian Luo?” Bai Jue looked around the unusually quiet living room.
“Little Qingqing and Jingwu went for a walk in the courtyard, and LuoLuo probably hasn’t woken up yet.” Old Master Jian placed down a chess piece as he spoke.
“Still asleep at this time?” Bai Jue feigned surprise and secretly signaled to Black Jack, “Black Jack, you go wake Jian Luo. I’ll go find Jian Qing.”
“Mm.” Black Jack nodded his head in agreement.
“Go and rouse LuoLuo. Don’t let him continue sleeping in.” Old Master Jian instructed.
As Bai Jue ambled towards the window, he lowered his voice and told Black Jack who had reached the stairs, “Remember brother, I’ve done you a favor.”
In a corner unseen by anyone, Black Jack’s lips curved into a smirk.
He quickly ascended the stairs.
Once at the third floor, he confidently made his way towards Jian Luo’s room. Without bothering to knock, he silently opened the door and entered.
In the spacious room, the light was dim. The lump on the bed caught his attention.
Walking softly, his gaze settled on something under the quilt.
Suddenly, he reached out to grab the quilt, pulling it away.
The person hidden under the quilt immediately came into his line of sight.
“Sis, don’t disturb my sleep.” The figure on the bed stirred, eyes tightly shut. The soft voice betrayed a lingering grogginess.
He turned around, his long hands fumbling around the bed in search of his quilt.
After some fruitless groping, the man apparently gave up and curled up, quickly falling back asleep.
Black Jack casually tossed the quilt aside, looking down at the figure curled up on the bed, the corners of his eyes sparkling with amusement.
“Luo Xiaobai!”
His clear voice rang out, reverberating around the room.
Almost instantly, Jian Luo’s eyes shot open.
It was as if he had heard someone’s voice.
The voice was so real, it didn’t seem like a hallucination.
Had he come looking for him?
Upon this thought, Jian Luo jumped up from the bed.
As he turned around, he found himself staring into a pair of deep blue eyes.
“You, why are you here?”
His chestnut-colored hair was somewhat messy, adding to his adorableness.
Black Jack crossed both his arms, “Why can’t I be here, or are you scared of my presence, huh?”
Being looked at by him, Jian Luo inexplicably felt guilty.
“Scared my ass, who’s scared of you coming here.”
Black Jack’s sudden arrival caught Jian Luo completely off guard. He failed to notice his unbuttoned pajama top, exposing his soft, smooth skin to Black Jack.
“Did you dress like this on purpose for my sake, huh?” His seductive voice had risen slightly, enough to make anyone swoon.
Jian Luo, puzzled, lowered his head to look at his pajamas.
At this sight, he wished he could just dig a hole to bury himself in.
Damn it, this is gonna kill me.
Last night he had been gaming until late, hurriedly took a bath then went to sleep. He hadn’t buttoned his pajamas. If this happened usually, he wouldn’t feel embarrassed. But the person standing in front of him now was him, and that somehow made everything more awkward.
Jian Luo didn’t realize it yet, but there’s a thing called – shyness.
“Why didn’t you knock before entering?” Jian Luo buttoned up his pajamas, scowling at him the whole time.
Did His Lordship forget his noble manners?
“You also didn’t knock when you come into my room.” Black Jack calmly watched him, replying lightly. “Moreover, I always did this before, you never had a problem with it.”
Both of them, when they visited each other’s rooms, never had the habit of knocking. It was like that when they were young, and has remained the same as they grew up.
After fastening the last button, Jian Luo shot him a look, “That was before, this is now.”
“Not the same?” He tasted these three words. His eyes glittered, “What’s not the same? Tell me.”
Jian Luo choked up, “I don’t want to talk to you.”
He hopped off the bed, ready to wash up.
