Chapter 117: Chapter 117 Let’s build our tribe together(2)
Lucas felt jealous, but he couldn’t do anything. Each action Kyra made sent any male’s heart throbbing, and it was a lie if he didn’t feel his own heartbeat quicken because of her.
Kyra walked toward the spot where she wanted to dig the first hole. The wind caught her long, red, wavy hair, making her look like a fairy. Lucas and the other men followed her closely.
Kyra took a chalk string from the males’ hands and spoke, "We need to remove all the grass, but it’s fine since we should dig out the grass along with the hole." Seeing their empty hands, Kyra raised her eyebrows in confusion. "You guys forgot about the digging tools?"
The males hurriedly shook their heads. "No, female, we’re fine with our hands," they insisted, still making Kyra look puzzled.
"Ky-Ky, look," Lucas said as he extended his sharp, long nails. They were very strong and sharp, perfect for digging holes with his claws.
Kyra’s eyes widened. "That’s amazing!" she exclaimed. The other males smiled and started digging with Lucas. The wet ground made their work easier.
"I will stop you if I feel the hole is big enough," Kyra instructed. Lucas and the others gave her a thumbs up.
When she saw the hole was deep enough, she said, "That should be fine." and the males stopped working.
"We should install the other things tomorrow, but today we’ll just dig the hole for the house and prepare the underground nest," Kyra said. She used a tape measure to mark the distance from the house and instructed them to dig another hole.
Kyra was amazed at their speed and how fast they were working. She thought it would take much longer, but they made everything look easy.
Kyra took measurements, and they started digging holes. By the time afternoon arrived, they had finished digging twenty-five holes.
"You guys must be tired. Take a break," Kyra said. The males nodded, sweat glistening on their faces.
"Thanks, female," one of them said. Kyra smiled and took Lucas’s hand, pulling him towards the river. Lucas followed her obediently.
When they reached the clean, cold river, Kyra dipped her hands in the water. It was so cold and refreshing. "Lucas, wash your face. You’re sweating," Kyra said as she splashed cold water on her own face. It felt incredibly refreshing. Lucas washed his face too, his silver hair sticking to his skin."Where is Vincent?" Lucas asked, not seeing him around."Boss is counting and checking all the materials. We’ve made a cave to store everything. He was there looking over everything," one of the snakes, who had overheard, explained.
"Oh! Okay, thanks for telling me," Lucas said, waving his hand in thanks.
Kyra stood up and started dipping her feet in the water, enjoying the cold sensation. The cool breeze made her feel even more refreshed.
She looked around, appreciating the beauty of the river and the surrounding mountains.
It was a peaceful moment, a brief respite from the hard work they had been doing.

After a food break, with provisions brought by a snake male from the castle, everyone started working again. The excitement was palpable as they resumed their tasks.
Kyra, observing the progress, realized more holes needed to be made after the initial twenty-five.
However, she decided they should focus on preparing the underground nest. "Let’s stop digging more holes for now and start preparing the underground nest." she instructed.
The males nodded, eager to get started. "Let’s get the materials from the cave," one of them said. But as they headed towards the cave, they saw more snakes and Vincent arriving with supplies.
"Looks like we’ve got everything we need right here." Vincent announced as some men followed behind him, setting down a large bundle of materials.
The others followed suit, each carrying different items needed for the nest construction.
Kyra smiled. "Thank you, everyone." she said, her voice warm.
"Let’s start by reinforcing the walls of the underground nest. We need to ensure it’s sturdy and safe."
The males got to work immediately, carefully placing the materials as Kyra directed. The ground was still wet, They lined the walls with stones and reinforced them with wooden beams brought from the castle.
As they worked, Kyra moved around, checking their progress and offering guidance.
She admired their dedication and how quickly they adapted to her instructions. "Remember, the nest needs to be spacious enough for everyone to move around comfortably." she reminded them.
Lucas stayed close, his eyes never leaving Kyra. He was proud of her leadership and how effortlessly she commanded respect from everyone around her.
The day progressed, and the nest started taking shape.
The snakes worked tirelessly, their enthusiasm never waning. 𝑛𝘰𝘷𝑝𝘶𝑏.𝑐𝘰𝘮
Kyra couldn’t help but be impressed by their stamina and teamwork.
By four and thirty five, the underground nest of twenty five house nearly complete.
The walls were secure, and the floor of nest was evened out, ready for the final touches. Kyra stood back, taking in their work.
"This is looking great, everyone. Just a few more adjustments, and we’ll be done for the day." she said.
The males, though tired, were still brimming with energy.
They followed her instructions, fine-tuning the nest until it met her satisfaction. Vincent and Lucas assisted where they could, their strength useful in moving the heavier materials.
As the sun began to set, the underground nest was finally ready.
Kyra looked around at all males, her heart swelling with pride. "We did it," she said, her voice filled with joy. "Tomorrow, we can start on the next phase."
The snakes cheered, their spirits high. It had been a long, hard day, but their efforts had paid off.
They gathered around the nest, admiring their handiwork and chatting about the plans for the next day.
Vincent approached Kyra, a satisfied smile on his face. "You’ve done an incredible job leading us today," he said. "The tribe is lucky to have you."
Kyra blushed, feeling a deep sense of accomplishment. "I couldn’t have done it without all of you." she replied.
