Chapter 128: Chapter 128 Attacking Vinecnt
"Vincent..." Kyra hurried after him, her steps quickening to catch up.
She reached out to hold his arm, but he shook off her grasp with a determined stride.
Vincent walked ahead with long strides. Kyra’s eyes widened in concern, and Lucas, watching nearby, was equally surprised and compelled to follow.
"I’ll see what’s wrong with Vincent! Don’t worry," Kyra called out as she ran after him.
Others around them were also taken aback; it was the first time Vincent had looked so visibly upset with Kyra since they had gotten married.
Kyra pursued him as he headed towards the forest, his movements becoming more resolute with every step.
Finally catching up, she gently took hold of his arm and looked up at him, worry etched across her face. "Vincent, what’s wrong? Why are you acting like this? Has something happened?" she asked earnestly.
Vincent met her gaze with dark, intense eyes. "Yes, something has happened." his voice was low and filled with emotion.
"What is it, Vincent?" Kyra persisted, searching his eyes for answers.
"Really? You don’t know, or you’re pretending?" His voice became hard as he suddenly grabbed her and pushed her against the tree trunk. His body leaned tightly against hers, and his large hands held her chin.
"Tell me you love him more, right! You love him more because he’s cute, warm, and good at everything from cooking to making you smile. And me? I’m dark, ugly feral. I can’t even make you happy like he does. Tell me you love him more." Vincent demanded, his frustration evident as he punched a nearby tree, causing it to shake.
Kyra gasped and instinctively reached out, gripping his hand tightly."No, Vincent, it’s not like that," Kyra protested softly, trying to calm him down. "I love you both, but differently. Lucas is wonderful in his own way, but you... you have a depth and strength that I admire. Your darkness doesn’t define you. Please believe me."
"No, you love Lucas more. I hate to say it, but you don’t love me like you love him. I’m dark and ugly, a poisonous feral snake, right? While he’s a soft, white, and furry wolf everyone loves." Vincent replied, his emotions escalating as he looked at her intensely.
"No, Vincent, you’re not ugly," Kyra reassured him, attempting to embrace him. But before she could, Vincent suddenly leaned over and said, "Then kiss me in my snake form." as he transformed into a large serpent.
Kyra stared at the huge snake before her, its head towering above, waiting expectantly. She hesitated, unsure.
Even when she had kissed Lucas in his wolf form, it had felt strange, and now Vincent was asking for a kiss in his snake form.
Seeing her hesitation, Vincent felt a pang of hurt, and without another word, he slithered away into the deep forest.
The forest was silent as Kyra stood alone.

Panthera tribe leader, Mison, came to the tribe site to kill Vincent. He considered using his mate to lure the snake, but dismissed the idea because that female were usually guarded and surrounded by many male snakes due to tribe work.
The Feral King was a rank 7 beast, but could he fight against numbers? Finally, he decided to take panthers from his tribe with a rank above five.
Their population was very large, with around five thousand males, many of whom were powerful.
They didn’t like the Feral King who destroyed other tribes and killed, so they harbored anger in their hearts for revenge. When Mison told them to kill Vincent, they became happy and ready to do so.
Today, they all came to kill only Vincent. They waited in the bushes to find him alone, as they couldn’t fight against many snakes.
When they saw Vincent go deep into the forest, they followed him stealthily.
Vincent didn’t notice the world around him; his heart throbbed with pain. 𝓷ℴ𝓿𝓅𝓊𝒷.𝓬𝓸𝓂
He walked with heavy steps, his tail lashing out at anything in its path, and an unsettling dark aura emanating from him, sending small animals scurrying away in fear.
Suddenly, he felt a shift in the air. His eyes darkened with intensity, hands twitching with an urge to confront someone. And then, they appeared – more than twenty panthers, sleek and powerful, each panther was a predator of rank 5 or 6.
Their sharp eyes locked onto Vincent with sharp focus.
Their muscular bodies tensed, coiled with readiness to attack. The tension in the air was palpable as they encircled him.
Mison stared at Vincent with cold intensity, his gaze piercing through the air thick with tension.
"Roar..." The deep, primal sound reverberated as five panthers leaped at Vincent in unison.
Vincent shifted into his half-snake form.
His nails extended into sharp claws, gleaming in the dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy above.
With a fluid motion, he used his tail to coil around the nearest panther, muscles tensing with controlled strength.
In a sudden twist, he hurled the predator aside, sending it crashing into the underbrush with a startled yelp.
Meanwhile, his jaws snapped shut around another panther’s flank, teeth sinking into fur and flesh with a primal fury.
As Vincent fought, Mison saw his chance. Moving silently, he circled around, eyes locked on Vincent. With a sudden burst of speed, Mison launched himself at Vincent from behind, aiming to catch him off guard.
Vincent shook his body as he used his sharp nails to scratch his stomach.
Seeing their leader injured, all the panthers felt anger and growled fiercely. Their roars rumbled through the forest.
Their claws sharp, more than ten panthers suddenly pounced on him. Vincent was startled as he let go of Mison and started attacking the other panthers.
"You all have death wishes," Vincent muttered coldly as he kicked one of the panthers. However, their numbers were overwhelming, and some began attacking his tail. One of them bit him, causing him to groan in pain.
"Hahaha! Feral King, today you’re going to die." Mison, having shifted back into human form and wiping blood from his face, said with a smirk.
