Chapter 154: Chapter 154 Spirit City town (2)
Kyra wasn’t sleepy after resting during the day. However, her nose became runny, and she started to cough. She had healing abilities, so why couldn’t she use them on herself? Thoughts began to race through her mind as she watched the dragon asleep.
The cave was quiet, except for the occasional crackle of the fire and the steady breathing of Damon. Kyra’s mind wandered as she tried to figure out why her powers weren’t working. She had been able to heal others, but when it came to herself, it seemed impossible.
She hadn’t been able to find out those mysteries.
Kyra quickly crawled out from under his wings and sat near the fire. Although the dragon wasn’t much affected by the cold, he had kindly put the fire on for her to feel warm.
Her thoughts ran wild as she considered her current situation. She felt home sick, missing her family, her house, and her tribe.
Celestia was a whole different continent from where she was from. She only knew a little about it and wished she had asked more questions.
She sighed. But who could have known she would be thrown here by that vicious green-haired female?
She was lost in thought, her nose red and her throat heavy. Suddenly, her nape was gently picked up by a mouth, and she was tucked back under his wings. She raised her head to look at him, but he seemed to still be asleep.
Kyra: ????
Confused, she wondered about this villainous dragon. What did he really want from her?

The next morning, Kyra wore the outfit Damon had selected for her. It was a gorgeous red dress adorned with delicate flower designs and shimmering gems.
Damon looked her over and nodded his head in approval. She was definitely more suited to wear his designs.
After Kyra sat on his back, he quickly dashed out of the cave and soared into the sky. Kyra’s hair flew wildly as he climbed higher. She looked down at the beautiful landscapes below, filled with mountains and rivers.
After about an hour, Kyra grew tired from sitting for so long. However, her excitement returned when she saw a town appear below. Most of the cottages were two stories tall, with pitched roofs, porches, and chimneys on top with smoke curling out. The town looked especially beautiful as every house had a balsam fir tree.
Damon finally landed near a two Stroy Cottage. He shifted into his human form as Kyra climbed off his back. Noticing her still red nose, he led her to porch of cottage.
He knocked on the door, and it was soon opened by a very old man with wrinkled skin, a long white beard, and a few wisps of hair on his head.
"Damon," the healer said, nodding his head with some difficulty. His eyes then fell on the beautiful young female beside him. "You came with a female."
"Yes," Damon replied, his voice steady. "She’s unwell. Can you help her?"
The old healer’s eyes softened as he looked at Kyra. "Come in, child." he said, stepping aside to let them enter.
The interior of the house was warm and inviting, filled with the scent of herbs and potions. Shelves lined the walls, cluttered with jars and bottles of all shapes and sizes. A fire crackled in the chimney, casting a gentle glow around the room.
Kyra stepped inside, feeling a wave of warmth wash over her. She glanced around, taking in the sight of the healer’s workspace. The old man gestured for her to sit on a cushioned chair near the fire.
"Let’s see what we have here," he murmured, gently examining her. His hands were surprisingly steady for someone his age, and his touch was both firm and comforting.
"She’s been exposed to the cold for too long," the healer said after a few moments. "But nothing that can’t be fixed with some rest and proper care."
He moved to a shelf and began selecting various herbs and ingredients, mixing them with practiced ease. "This will help with the cold," he said, handing Kyra a steaming cup of herbal tea. "Drink it slowly."
Kyra took the cup, the warmth seeping into her hands. She sipped the tea, feeling its soothing effects almost immediately. She glanced at Damon, who stood nearby, watching her with an unreadable expression.
"Thank you," she said softly, her voice sounding a bit stronger already.
The healer nodded. "Rest here for a while. You’ll be feeling better in no time." He turned to Damon. "Take care of her, Damon. She needs warmth and safety."
Damon nodded, his gaze softening as he looked at Kyra. "I will," he promised.
Kyra leaned back in the chair, the warmth from the fire and the tea making her feel drowsy.
"I want to talk to you alone, Damon." the healer said, looking at Kyra, who nodded her head. Both men walked outside, and the healer looked seriously at Damon.
"What do you want to talk about, healer?" Damon asked nonchalantly.
"I don’t believe you brought a female here after what happened to you." the healer said, narrowing his eyes in doubt.
"What happened to me is in the past. I’m fine. And don’t worry about me, healer," Damon replied, straightening his robe.
"I see this female is nice, and she only has two mates. Don’t hurt her because of what that female did to you. Not every female is bad." the healer said, looking at Damon with concern. He knew how vengeful Damon could be and was afraid for Kyra.
"Don’t worry, healer. I will never harm her," Damon said with a smile, looking into the distance. "I’m planning to live here again with my female. Can you talk to the council and get me a house near the east side?" he asked.
The healer looked at Damon’s face and nodded. "Of course, if you’re asking. But take care of her and don’t cause trouble. I’ll ask some of the males to prepare the house for you," he said, though his eyes held a hint of worry.
"Thank you, healer. I appreciate it," he said, his voice smooth.
